It is simply a matter of practice.
Use both guns long enough, and Claymore wins. CDs are overrated, which is the ultimate truth of this thread.

Relevant - Claymoar > Wraith. And pretty much every other shotgun, imo. @ least the one's I've played with.

If I just want to shoot stuff and feel badass I select the Claymore, Crusader, Raider or other Loud & Heavy Shotguns.
If I want to use my powers efficiently and shoot some stuff in between cooldowns I select the Wraith, Piranha or other relatively Light Shotguns.
Since I prefer casters over weapons classes I find more value out of Wraith than Claymore, hence for me Wraith>Claymore.

I wish I could concur, but after ~430 hours of play, the Wraith is still the only gun I am missing. I am pretty sure I will like it more though.
