Some don't understand art. Anybody saw Claymore reload animation? It feels like slapping a Quarian ass. On Wraith reloading and shooting feels like unclogging a drain, honestly.

Because the Wraith is more accurate than the Raider, and lighter than the Claymore, notably. This weapon can be a top choice for almost all situations in the game. It's less the case for the Claymore, and a lot less for the Raider.

For a while I preferred the wraith, but the fact that it is basically the perfect gun with no appreciable drawbacks or weaknesses makes it boring. The claymore is okay, but I prefer the Raider over both.

I think Wraith deserves it's Ultra Rare status. It's a nice all around gun, with good damage, good firing rate, accuracy... well, there's nothing bad about it, really. And it certainly servers well on all caster kits.
That said, it just doesn't give me the same sort of satisfaction that blowing phantom's head away in chunks of gore and with a satisfying mudaffugin' BOOM like Claymore does.
I like them both and use them both. As always, why limit yourself when you can have them both?

My sentiments exactly. As if we can only play one game and have to decide our favorite gun. Today I think I'll use Claymore. Tomorrow, Wraith. After that, Venom. Then Crusader. And so on. They're all awesome, and they all have unique features that make them fun or effective in their own way (I couldn't use only Venom or Claymore or Wraith, I'd get the itch to hear that satisfying Graal "CHUNK" or that juicy Raider "BLA-BLAM!"- gotta switch it up). Of course, this is why I have 10 total shotgun amps of any level and 200-255 of level III amps for every other weapon type.

Wraith has a delay of 0.5 second between every shot when reload cancelled. Claymore has a delay of 1 second between every shot when reload cancelled. Wraith has 75% of Claymore's damage. So every 2 Claymore shots means that Wraith can shoot 3 times which makes the Wraith 50% more efficient at disposing mooks or has 12.5% better DPS against bosses. Everything else Wraith just outclasses the Claymore.
Wraith is the clear winner.

50 pages were spent comparing the Claymore to the Reegar, Piranha, Raider, Venom and even the Crusader, and after conceding defeat to all 5 guns it turned its attention towards to the Wraith.
As for the last 20 pages?

Seriously, though, I get the whole Claymore worship thing. It's a damn good gun. But if we were to *seriously* make an *unbiased* comparison between it and the Wraith, it's just not better. Not on console, not on PC.

For soloing I'd put Venom at the top (or number 2 behind Reegar, depending on kit). But for regular games (for me anyway) it's Reegar > Piranha > Wraith > Venom > Raider
Claymore doesn't even make the cut, but I still use it.
