For Xbox 360 users, the Citadel DLC pack will come as 2 downloads on Xbox Live. ME3 Citadel is larger than our previous DLC packs, so it had to be split into 2 downloads. The first pack is priced at $14.99 and the second pack is tagged as free. Players need to purchase and download pack 1, then download pack 2 at no additional cost.

You can download pack 2 without purchasing pack one, but the DLC will not work. You will get an error message in game asking you to download pack 1. It will say "This DLC will only work in conjunction with Part 1 of Mass Effect™ 3: Citadel, which is split across 2 downloadable packages. Please purchase Part 1 prior to downloading Part 2 at no additional cost.]"This will not hurt your saved game but you will not be able to launch Citadel until you have both packs.

This only effects Xbox 360 users. Citadel for the PC and PS3 is in one pack.

i have to ask Chris.  If its $14.99for Xbox users...does that mean it will be 1600 MS points?

If Tali takes her mask off.

.....Life will be complete.

Nah but seriously good work Bioware the fact that I get to see all these awesome characters again shows you guys take your fans seriously. Not to mention the awesome MP DLC coming out.
But just do the right thing and give Shepard the option to rip that mask off already. :D

15 $...OH MY GOD. I better wait when it's cheaper. Omega was a massive fail and Leviathan...well, not too bad but not too good either...15$ is too much money for a single DLC.

All the questions about how this can possibly work since ME1 and 2 characters/love interested are all off doing all sorts of other things through the course of ME3.

Solution:

This isn't a "load up your final save before the ending" DLC, and will require a full replay of ME3 to experience fully. Jacob, Jack and Samara maybe only show up at certain times that make sense to their stories, Thane of course stops showing up after the Cerberus citadel incident, etc etc.

It's not realistic to expect every ME1 and ME2 character to be party members for the main mission, either. Since it involves espionage/citadel goings on, I think its safe to assume Garrus will feature prominently due to his CSec ties and Liara as the SB, as well as (possibly) Miranda. Samara would also make sense since she's a sort of detective. Wrex is prominent in the screenshots, so its also reasonable to assume he will figure prominently. Maybe Garrus or Liara are required full-time companions, and Miranda, Wrex and maybe Samara all hop onboard for certain parts of the mission? Of course, due to financial reasons, it'll be interesting to see how they deal with "dead" characters - I think it would be too expensive for Bioware to voice every encounter with the "placeholder" characters used in ME3, so it'll be interesting to see how the story would have gone with Garrus/Wrex/Miranda etc killed in the suicide mission...

We can only speculate, but no chance in hell that this is post-ending or involved altering existing dialogue in game - the big team of writers involved probably spent a lot of time making the DLC dialogue work and make sense without requiring changes to the main game's dialogue.

All good things must come to an end, and that includes the Commander Shepard trilogy. However, just because it is coming to an end, that doesn't mean we can't go out with a bang. Introducing the final Mass Effect 3 single-player DLC: Citadel!

When a sinister conspiracy targets Commander Shepard, you and your team must uncover the truth, through battles and intrigue that range from the glamour of the Citadel’s Wards to the top-secret Council Archives.  Uncover the truth and fight alongside your squad – as well as the cast from the original Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2.

Does this mean ALL prior version characters or selective characters (if you purchased DLCs and Collectors Ed, including members like Zaeed and Kasumi)?

When the adventure is over, reconnect with your favorite characters from the Mass Effect Trilogy, try your luck at the Citadel’s Silver Coast Casino, blow off steam in the Armax Combat Arena, or explore and furnish Shepard’s own living quarters on the Citadel.

Is this an "end-game" DLC or one that can be started mid-game? Citadel isn't accessible after Cerebus HQ mission.

With unique content and cinematics featuring your friends and romance interests in the Mass Effect trilogy, Mass Effect 3: Citadel offers one final chance to see the characters you have known for years and rekindle romances.

Mass Effect 3: Citadel will release worldwide on March 5th on Xbox 360, PC and PS3 (on March 6th on PS3 in Europe).

errrmm Chris.. I and few others would like to know... or rather would like our old Squadmates as playable SM, including the two from Omega (i.e. New Game + acquired squadmates from all versions). Any chance of that happening?

Off topic: Will you be able to make Shepard's Citadel room into a harem? My FemShep is a mulit-tasker if you catch my drift. *pron music starts in the background -- bow chicka wow wow*

While I think it's a neat idea to have Shepard with an apartment on the citadel, doesn't it seem a bit weird that he'd be worried about interior decorating during the war to end all wars?

I dunno, I know I spent an inordinate amount of time looking for model ships to furnish my cabin. I feel like Shep can have a few hours of down-time in between missions to let off some steam through apartment decorating. =]

Interesting. I haven't bought any DLC or even played the game in a long time but might end up picking this up if it sounds worth it. Though really I didn't mind the cameo appearances and 'romances' as much, the game had a lot more pressing problems imo.

Gianna is with Noveria Internal Affairs. why whould she be interested in a Citadel related conspiracy? Its also way out of her jurisdiction.

I'd say Emily Wong is more likely but didn't they Twitter kill her?

Damn it.  You corrected yourself before I could be a smart ass.  Yeah, they killed her already.

Speaking of dead people... I have to wonder if Zaeed will be in there.

I would like a preview or more info before I can decide whether to buy it or watch it on Youtube like I did with Leviathan and Omega. If this DLC is just about boning your LI then you can just screw yourself Bioware...with all the money these "fans" will throw at you. Such a stupid thing to ask from Bioware for Mass Effect. "Oh can i make blue babies with Liara or dry hump a clothed Miranda or face**** Tali in a burka" It's a damn video game ask for something that will amaze you artistically, don't ask for virtually animated porn. U can get that for free on the net.

She did pursue someone to Illium in ME2 though. I imagine if it was important enough they could send her to the Citadel.

I'm hopeful we'll encounter her regardless!

Because they were selling protypes that were still in development on Noveria.

I'd like it too, but there better be a reason other than "because."

Sounds fantastic! :D Admittedly, as a romantic sap, I probably would have gotten it for the additional romance content alone. XD Looking forward to March 5th!

This is great. I had hoped, but dared not to hope too much.

Great news!
