Hmm, I was thinking they'd actually carefully release it for both current-gen and next-gen but who knows. Also, did anyone else think the new graphics for PS4 didn't look that new? I noticed small graphic changes but not much, I was expecting more.Boiny Bunny wrote...
My guess is that DA:I is current gen native (360/PS3) and will be poorly ported to next gen (720/PS4/Maybe WiiU) at the last minute, with hardly a difference in graphics, as a dodgy 'launch title' (kind of like Twilight Princess for the Gamecube/Wii). Plus PC version of course (also a poor port most likely).

I think that just about answers the question. And sure enough, it's what I've suspected all along.

I agree but I still want to see Microsoft talk about the new plans for Xbox and not just go by the plans for PS4.I do think that doing cross generation is a good plan for games though, especially since it seems like the next-gen consoles wont be backwards compatible.Fiery Phoenix wrote...
As you guys saw from the show, almost ALL of the titles they showcased (the non-exclusives) were confirmed to be cross-generation, releasing for both PS4 and PS3.

Don't forget Evil/Arts will do anything they can to make money, so an exclusive wouldn't be in their best interest.
As for this social-detritus crap, it better NOT be included with the PC version, or *no-sale*!!
You make it sound like EA is the only one out there trying to get every nickle they can out of their players. Sony right now is just as bad, for they were talking about the PS3 lasting at least a decade like the PS2 and they are releasing the PS4 only six years after launch. To me this launch is because they are rebuilding their online network to try and cover the stench of the angry players about how they handled the hacking of their network and to get players back to the "brand".

Exactly what I am thinking for developers unless they are making their games exclusive to the console are probably going to play it safe for making it backwards compatible to the older consoles to make sure that if one is delayed they aren't going to lose money by having the game unplayable by a certain demographic.

I didn`t get why they can`t run ps3 games on ps4 BUT they are trying to make that feature work online instead. Meaning: people will have to buy their ps3 games all over again. I sure as hell don`t hope the next xbox does the same thing.
Also, if PS3 games won`t run on PS4...how will importing stuff into DA:I be able to work on that console?

The PS4 looks fantastic. Wonder what the 720 could cook up to compete. Most of all I'm just worried about my saves. I really want that Share functionality, but going from 360 to ps4 would definitely mean losing my save. Even going from 360 to 720 could mean losing my save, but it's not as 100% likely.
What the crap do I dooooo? xD

DA:I was never going to be a Sony exclusive. Why was anyone expecting it to be announced at a PS4 live event? A new Killzone game, sure. That's going to be a PS4 exclusive.
Destiny and Diablo 3 aren't exclusive either, yet there they were.
The second part is EA has always shown up to these events. This is the first time they didn't.

Nobody knows yet. PC will likely offer straight imports as before, the consoles may offer a cloud-based transfer (even through the BSN?), or some kind of "choose your history" utility in the character creator or before the game starts.Rawgrim wrote...
