Why is everyone calling it Killzone 3? You realize Killzone 3 came out for PS3 a couple of years ago, right?PurebredCorn wrote...
I really like the idea of Watchdogs, and Killzone 3 sure looks purdy.
Personally, I liked Destiny, Watchdogs and Killzone. Not a fan of the fact that you can't play PS3 titles on the new machine. But regardless, the whole thing looks super interesting so far.

Yeah, I don't think the comments are bad or arrogant, maybe a little over-confidant to some but not bad. Either way I think Destiny is going to go well and saying you want it to fail seems a bit harsh. People work hard on these games for us and I think it is a big step for Bungie and I certainly think it deserves to do well. But ,everyone has a different opinion.Boiny Bunny wrote...

I'm hoping Destiny fails, honestly. Bungie's comments about why it's not getting a PC release are just arrogant and stupid.GenericEnemy wrote...
im intrigued to see how Destiny turns out. it sounds pretty ambitious. no PC version is a damn shame, though.
Also inb4 you fixed the formatting.“We did a bunch of ambitious things on Halo deliberately to reach out to
people. We limited players to two weapons, we gave them recharging
health, we automatically saved and restored the game – almost heretical
things to first-person shooters at the time. We made the game run
without a mouse and keyboard. And now nobody plays shooters the way they
used to play them before Halo ’cause nobody wants to.”

Personally, I think the writer of that article (and perhaps you as well) are reading between the lines, and twisting his words a little.
I don't even think his comments are particularly arrogant - they are true. Halo:CE had a great deal of features which were very outlandish compared to FPS standards at the time, and which immediately became integrated into virtually every FPS made following (e.g. regenerating health, 2 weapons limit, weapons balanced much more than old school FPS games, exclusive grenade AND melee buttons rather than having to cycle to them or have them take up a weapon slot, vehicular combat set-pieces etc.)
Heck - Aliens:CM got bashed by a few reviewers recently for allowing you to carry every weapon in the game, which now seems to be considered outdated, broken, and confusing by modern standards.
Also - Halo WAS originally a computer game (albeit, for Macs), and only became a console game in the last part of its long development cycle because Microsoft bought Bungie. Halo was also released on the PC after the Xbox, and it bombed (same with Halo 2).
If Destiny isn't coming to the PC - it's because it has been considered, and a decision has been made that it won't turn enough profit over to make it worth their time - the same thing could be said of Halo 3, ODST, and Reach (though I'm sure elements of that were Microsoft stepping up the rivalry with Sony, making their top selling games even more exclusive).

Also Watch Dogs. Another game that sits in a genre I am not the big on but the premise seems good and the gameplay looks like it has potential. Hope it turns out to be a great game.

I suppose if I had to pick, I'd choose Destiny, but in all honesty most look pretty unexciting. Generally, the first year in the life of a console is pretty boring with a few rare exceptions. I usually enjoy a console's later days when the devs really know the system well than I do it's awkward learning to walk stage.
Seeing as both new consoles are nothing but PCs in custom cases, most devs should be able to hit the ground running with the new development tools, so the awkward learning to walk stage should be pretty much nonexistant.

I really liked the social features they promised us: sharing, remote play, playing someone else's savegame, those things.

as for the games... Deep Down promising to be something interesting. But all we see today is graphic... looking forward for more gameplay, character customization etc.
Watch Dogs looks interesting, if this game will be more focusing on hacking gameplay and less on shooting ill buy it. And its looks to much easy for now, you just focus camera on object and "press the buttom"
other games... i dont like\\ interested in shooters
suppor of indie project is amazing. Gaikai + PS1+ PS2+ PS3= epic win.
If all BioWare games will suppor PS4, nothing сan stop me to purchase PS4

As far as being immersed in a world, I really liked the Killzone presentation. It didn't seem gamey at all until the shooting started, and even when that happened, the minimal UI helped to keep up the immersion.
For games that I might actually play if I had a PS4, I would go with Watch Dogs and The Witness.
The premise behind Watch Dogs was different, and as introduced by the creator, seemed in line with where our society is headed. I couldn't really tell if you get mission assignments, or you just wander around, vigilante like, until something peaks your interest.
The Witness intrigued me for its open world nature. Roaming where you will, solving puzzles along the way. It seems less structured than the Portal games, which is why I liked it. In addition, I thought the animation was gorgeous.
I have to say the highlight of the evening was the surprise (at least for me) of seeing Chris Metzen from Blizzard. Being a long-time WoW fan/player, and a fan of him personally (he was essentially Warcraft's David Gaider as far as lore goes, but is now higher up in the development chain), I was blown away when he stepped out, completely unexpected. I had heard some stirrings about "Blizzard on console" but didn't pay any attention to it because, not being a console player, it had nothing to do with me. D3 is the natural choice for a console port of a Blizzard game, and I predict that it will do well.

Infamous didn’t grab me, but I never got into the first few because the IP because it isn't really to my personal gaming tastes. Lots of positive reactions to their reveal though!
I tried the first inFamous on a friend's PS3. Between the gameplay, which I found unpolished, the protagonist's lame Wolverine voice, the beyond irritating fat scrappy side-kick character and the frankly bad dialogue ("They were nothing but a bunch of junkies, doing drugs!"; as opposed to junkies doing macrame?), I'm surprised this series is as popular as it is. I think inFamous deserves to get a cinematic adaptation directed by Uwe Boll. Then I might actually derive some entertainment from that IP...
My friend wasn't a fan either. That game got traded in, never finished.

Part of their presentation was that they hope to eventually have the entire library of PS games, going all the way back to PS1, available digitally for the PS4. Sure, it may be a pipe dream, or an empty promise, but they did mention it.Fiery Phoenix wrote...

Wasn't mentionend here often, but I'm really in Drive Club because the handling of the cars should be somewhere near it was in Project Gotham Racing and boy, PGR 2 is my favourite racing game of all times. Endless hours of fun in 4 player splitscreen on the "Grüne Hölle".

Doesn't Sony own like 20+ studios, some of them have been M.I.A for a while, im guessing some more games are getting announced at E3 or other conventions/events. Im so happy they didn't screw up the controller, they actually made it better imho.
-ME3 mp challenges almost done
-Sony sends me $10 to my PSN, for being a loyal customer(its going toward ME3 dlc
- PS4 announcement, with games i want
- P.W tweet, hints at LI/romance content in next ME3 dlc
- other miscellaneous things IRL.
all need now is DA I info, and Black Widow 6 for ME3 mp and my month will be complete.
