I'm thrilled about this new dlc. I only hope it lives up to the caliber of Omega.
What I'm not looking forward to is the reaction of the BSN who has to whine about everything. Bioware does nothing, but produce quality products and it's high time they start getting appreciated.

do I have to report you again?

For what? Praising Bioware products on a Bioware fansite? What a crime.

for flame baiting. You know VERY well Omega was lackluster by Bioware's standards both technically and under a storytelling point of view, it received lackluster reviews as well. You have a history of doing that and that is why your last thread was closed down as well as others of course

Cut the crap, it gets REALLY old REALLY fast

Omega had me on the edge of my seat throughout the entire dlc. It was the largest one and arguably the best of the trilogy. There was exhilerating combat down every corridor and everywhere you turned there was a gut wrenching decision that could drastically alter the balance of Omega and even the game. Do I try to save the civilians at the potential cost of Aria and Nyreen? Do I save Petrovsky to get valuable intel on the Illusive Man, or serve renegade justice at the risk of not being able to stop Cerberus, because the Alliance was under prepared. A minor bug here and there is expected in a game and you're just nitpicking. Omega was more than enough quality to be labeled as a great dlc. You create Omega and tell me you would charge less than 15 dolalrs for it. I can't even buy a nice dinner for 15 dollars. If anything, they should have charged more.

I fail to see how anything in Omega could surprise you, given that it's mid-game content that won't affect the ending in any way, shape or form. It's not like "Oh, you saved Petrovsky? You get the "win the game" option now to tell Star-Jar to **** off and defeat the reapers with stern glances."

Obviously I am looking forward to it, wouldn't be checking out the forums on a daily basis otherwise. I really hope they get it right this time, since Leviathan was actually pretty good. (It did manage to glue me to my seat and beat it in one sitting and I did relate to my Shepard during the story. It was also nice that it added a tiny bit of dialogue to the end with the Catalyst.)
On the other hand I was utterly dissapointed at Omega. It felt like a bad anime filler episode and it's portrayal of good and evil was way too black and white to be taken seriously. I mean come on, if I remember correctly, we were promised some sort of a tough choice and there really wasn't any. (I was hoping that Shepard would have to choose from betraying/backstabbing Aria "for the greater good" or remain loyal to a friend but at a cost. Perhaps even go all Virmire and force the player to choose whether Aria or Nyreen lives. I guess to sum it up, I would have hoped that the whole "does the end justify the means" -theme would have been handled better.) Also it should have been tied to the main story at least somehow. (And the price...)
The biggest obstacle to overcome with sp-dlc is that if completing a mission doesn't change anything (a setting -> conflict -> somehow changed setting) it naturally feels insiqnificant and just poorly written filler. I don't expect them to expand all the scenes post-dlc, but if you kick Cerberus out of a planet and kill/capture a general, one would assume that they'd notice it and maybe even comment on it somehow.
I'd really want to enjoy the new dlc so let's hope Bioware nails it this time. :)

Im not. ANd im even surprised by that. I thought i would be more ancious about a DLC like that. But im just like "meh this".

Still, gathering the VA's must have been a hard job. So we have to give them at least some credit. Sad that i cant like the ME franchise like i did pre- ME3.

I'm interested. I might still have my grievances with the ending, but to quote Jacob of all people: "It's an old, well healed wound." I'm well and truly over it. Bring on the DLC.

Yawn, Is it as well done as Omega then I can't imagine that the DLC is good. So I expect nothing.
Paying for it will see what everyone else says first.

Not really, no.

I still can't bring myself to play ME1 (my favourite of the trilogy). A DLC for ME3 (my leat favourite by far) seems rather pointless with the way the ending felt to me.

Sounds like this DLC might possibly be longer than Crysis 3.

Am I "looking forward" to it now, after the announcement? Meh.

Nostalgia will nudge me towards a purchase, and I'll base my overall impression on the send-off that BioWare has created, but ... not exactly. I'm not in this experience for the romance, so the simpler character interaction / cameos and Citadel exploration will be the determining factors.

It's not staying on coarse with the plot of the game. It's over charged. And it sounds like gimmicks. Not excited.

Unless I've finally gone insane, I think that's Kaidan dead centre.

Looking forward to it since it gives me more time with the characters in the series.

At the same time I am sorta dreading it, because I know that after this, I will finally have to say goodbye to them :'(

I really am not excited for it. I would love to be surprised but between the fact that it won't change the ending, the lackluster nature of the last two dlcs and the fact that it really doesn't seem to fit the plot (playing at a casino in the middle of an invasion, really?) I really do not believe it'll be any good.

The multiplayer dlc sounds fun though.

That would have been a surprise, yeah. But it's an odd criterion to use. WK and RtO didn't change the DA:O ending, no ME2 DLC except Arrival changed the ending of ME2; why would Omega change the ME3 ending?

I didn't get Omega and I don't think I ever will, but I am a bit excited for this one.

I just want to see my bf's Thane and Kaidan once more :P

But... I'm more excited for the MP DLC
