It's going to be a while for this one. I've got to wait for the MEHEM compatibility update.

Same.

Besides, that tweet really put me off buying anything from Bioware.  It's like she's trying to drive away customers or something.

Well they do need to make room for their COD crowd right? So we dont bother them.

Maybe BioWare could sell their setting and universe to people who would actually know what to do with it. I'm not really expecting that to happen, but hey, one can always irrationally hope!

well seival stated not so long ago, that this community needs change. in other words: "people who dont buy everything without asking, shoud gtfo"

i guess bioware adapted this as their new policy .. but who knows .. maybe they can affort it. the cod-crowd pays real money for mp-packs.

A tweet already confirmed Thane is in  the DLC. As well as ALL the other romance stories and such. Chillax.

It's been confirmed this DLC can only be played after the coup attempt by Udina....which is when Thane dies. At best you get an extended deathbed speech though the most like scenario is a tumbstone saying "Happy? Now get lost."

I doubt they're selling romance / nostalgia / closure DLC---which appears to have taken plenty of non-ending fan feedback to heart---to a "COD crowd".

Really love to see those numbers too... but we never will because I don't think they actually exist.  I've seen nowhere where the ending is supported by a majority.  Nowhere...

Shepard at the center of a conspiracy.

You won't kill it will you BioWare.

It just won't die.

Why?

I can't wait for this DLC. Top secret alliance stuff. Like N7 stuff. Or maybe Shepards past. The real past, not the stuff that's given to you at the begining of ME1. Or maybe more details on project lazarus?

Bioware is very good with the hype train. All aboard.

I'm in. Why not?

Because the hype train does no one any good.
Here's a few things to note.
Thanemancers are out of luck. Since this takes place after the coup, hevs still dead because Shepard stupidly didn't shoot when he had the chance and a clear point blank shot.

Chris Priestly said "Pre-London" which means pre-chronos. So whatever happens in this DLC, could have no meaning whatsoever in the larger scale of things. As someone else has pointed out, it all gets blown up.

That and the jarring fact that your Shepard would dick around while every single hour that he is doing so, playing interior designer, people on earth are being harvested.

Appreciate the fan service in regards to your LI and having ME2 Squad mates around for this DLC, but it will only be for this DLC. Not clear if you can bring Miranda or Grunt for Chronos / Earth.

Not clear if Tali still have to suffer a rip off the net photoshopped face.

And of course as many have pointed out, they (Bioware) is avoiding any mention of the ending. So it is very likely nothing is added onto it.
So every thing you do here becomes a blank slate as far as Epilogues / ending goes. Nothing of consequence happened to warrant mention.

I'll wait for someone to play and post a complete walk through on YouTube to see what we are getting *exactly* before buying this. To see if it is worth buying.

Go to the Twitter thread. There's a tweet from Jessica Merizan stating she can't discuss Thane because it's 'complicated and spoilery'.  So, you know, maybe there is something for you after all? Hope it makes you feel a bit better ...

My money's on an extended death and/or memorial scene.

Anyone who's really bothered by this sort of thing wouldn't have gotten through ME1. Remember the "Race Against Time?"

It does indeed and bungie wont mess that up, Also we have Cyberpunk 2077 for our space opera fix, New consoles, New Ip, im putting Bioware in the square-enix category, Thanks fo the memories but your games are mediocre now and not targetted towards me.

Not all customers. Just the ones who feel like you.

And really,  shouldn't she be?

Edit: what I mean is that pretending they still want your business doesn't do either them or you any good anymore. Time for you to break up.

You just don't say stuff like that to the public.  Ever.  You don't even say that where the public can hear.  Even when you can't deliver what the customer wants, you make them feel valued.  You never say "we ran the numbers, and you don't matter" no matter how nicely you couch the words.

Because now, even though that tweet wasn't directed at me,  I don't feel like I matter.

Mine too. Or a pat on the shoulder and 'sorry about Thane' from Liara or something. Never romanced him, personally.

On another note, between a new pad on the Citadel and the old place near Pinnacle Station, Shep's getting quite the property portfolio. Shame it all gets blown up, I s'pose. Still, a nice little rebuilt lovenest can be one more thing to add to my post-destroy headcanon and all that :wizard: Wonder if Garrus will get his own, er, nest .. rook ... perch?

You mean that it is asinine having to work in customer service with customers who know they can walk all over you, but then get upset when they push you too far?  Sometimes it seems as if the people targeting the devs have never worked in customer service themselves.

Talk about fan service.... albeit the wrong kind the game really needed. Oh yay, more time with my fake virtual romance character complete with awkward poorly animated clothed sexual encounter. You do realize how pathetic this sounds, right?

More immersion breaking content! Earth getting annihilated by the reapers, may as well go spend some time with the gang. No rush.

It's funny, but I couldn't expect anything else from good ol' BioWare!

You'd prefer less honesty from them? I'm kind of surprised myself, but I think it's nice to see this sort of thing.

BioWare tends to put an emphasis on character development and interaction in their games. I'd argue its even a bigger part of their games than the story. If you aren't into that sort of thing, you might be playing the wrong games.

You mean like Mass Effect 1 and 2?  And Dragon Age 1 & 2?  And almost every RPG I can think of?

Seriously, this is nothing new.

No, that's not true. There comes a point when you're dealing with people who think they own the world because they're a customer, and you have to inform them otherwise. This is one of those times.

Have you read anything about the DLC at all? The romance thing comes second! The gameplay is about some sinister conspiracy targeting Shepard on the Citadel .

If she wants fans to leave Bioware just like many Diablo fans won't purchase from Blizzard ever again... it's a stupid business practice and she doens't provide any proof.  Just casually claims "you're wrong!" and thumbs her noses at the fans.  Maybe it's just the ME team because the DA team didn't respond like this despite the backlash against DA2. Hell, they are still very much involved with the forums it seems in comparison to the ME team abandoning ship to go hide somewhere.

Everything about this debacle has been on Bioware's shoulders... they are handling it poorly and they are only pushing more and more people away.
