And to that poster above that says the rules don't apply to rude customers... tell that to my boss please.  I'd love to be abloe to dismiss and say "you're wrong!" to my customers.

I'd be happy to tell him. My boss could tell him as well. I work at a video production company: if a customer comes in unhappy with the job and yells at me that our work sucks and most customers agree, and I tell her "well, actually most people seem pretty happy with our work," then that's out of line in your job? Sucks to in that job, I guess. Both Bank of America and Kohl's give their employees more discretion than that. (both previous jobs I've part-timed at)

nope .. my boss wants to earn money - and i want my payment.

rule 1: the customer is always right
rule 2: if he is not right - see rule 1

we dont send 95% quality, if we promise 98%.

Those rules don't apply to rude or disrespectful customers. Even credit card companies - arguably the most soulless of them all - give their customer support leave to hang up on abusive customers and document the event.

well ... clevernoob was neitherrude, nor disrespectful. eh only wrote, what he was thinking. he was direct - thats all.

merizans answer was snippy - not the best style for a pr-person.

about the quality of a product .. the next time you buy a german car and half of it is delivered broken, call me.

You get another quarter of it fixed for extra money, but it still doesn't run.  And, by the way, that's your fault for not liking it that way.

i bet people who brought a bmw od mercedes will not be friendly if they get a broken car. and even if the customer freaks out, the company-person will apologise in a friendly manner and try to resolve the problem.

What did he actually say, anyway? I don't have the patience to wade through much of his stuff, so can you point me to the particular bit?

True she has to try to be careful with the fans

Hmph. Perhaps, but some people are just looking for an excuse to get angry. You can be as careful as you want, someone will take offense. It's ridiculous.

Lets be honest, For the last dlc it's pretty underwhelming

Don't really know a lot about the content itself, do we? Outside of a conspiracy mission, hub expansion, relationship expansion, and 4GB of space. That doesn't sound too shabby at all for the price.

It sounds completely boring.

We don't really have much to go on.

Conspiracies that have no impact on the story unless IT-related, casino partying with squadmates...

There's no Reaper battles or anything important, it seems.

A conspiracy could impact the story, provided it's the right one. Maybe the Council did find the lost Prothean science team that prevented the Reapers from initiating the cycle? That would open a lot of intriguing possibilities.

If it doesn't change the endings or continue from them, it really doesn't feel like it matters to me. I just can't believe this is what they thought people wanted to see. Partying in the darkest part of the story?

"My favorite part of today's announcement: "Furnish Shepard’s own living quarters on the Citadel" HELLS TO THE YES! @masseffect #decorating"-Jessica Merizan
Do they seriously think that sounds interesting and worth $15?

The only thing that makes me hopeful is that this DLC is 4 GB, which means a slight possibility that the DLC will be about much more...

data...meta critic?

It's funny seeing negative user reviews published on the very DAY the game came out. LOL.

The next time you buy a game and half the disc is broken, you might actually have a relevant analogy.

why? .. i will go to the store and show the broken dics to the salesman - he will apologise and give me a new one.

(but that wont happen, because the salesman usually packt the disc in front of me)

I'm happy to be laughed out of the room, because I'll be going back to my company and you'll be at yours.

Edit: I've really contributed to derailing this thread, so I'll stop, sorry.

If she wants fans to leave Bioware just like many Diablo fans won't purchase from Blizzard ever again... it's a stupid business practice and she doens't provide any proof.

And if she did provide proof, would it help?

It would come off less petulant sure.

If you say so. When Gaider told the DA audience that nobody played dwarves and almost nobody played elves, I don't remember the DA fans calling him petulant. But maybe they did -- he does get called arrogant a lot., now that I think about it.

 Couple of things:

1. Making a romance/character DLC shows that Bioware focused on what people said they liked most about the game and put together an awesome experience with lots of dialog. I have to say...I really, really appreciate this focus and the listening. A lot. Great job.

2. The fact you didn't allow Xbox limitations to restrict you and created a 4 GB DLC instead of jamming the content into 2 GB is also something I appreciate. That's awesome.

3. I am super excited to get this romance/character DLC, but I would have been disappointed without a new quest to do. The cool conspiracy thing you attached, even if it's minor (I hope it's super soecial awesome), has made this DLC like...this is what I've always wanted Mass Effect DLCs to be.

People have always been quick to point our fault, but let me among the first to say: Thank. You. This is getting it right. Hardcore.

Perfect close out DLC for the trilogy. Thanks Bioware.

Hey, if the ending wasn'ts something I found to be a  completely repugnant end to the trilogy and have to install a mod to be able to complete the game, I'd be all over this dlc.

Here's the exchange (started by another user and he jumped in)

Random user:  I thought we were told Bioware were listening to fan feedback on this one?

JM:  We did, and the numbers did all the talking. You are not in the majority, despite what you may believe.

CN:  Numbers? Please. You put out ONE survey that didn't even reach the people who hate the ending.

JM:  like any company, our market research data is internal and confidential.

CN: And therefore inaccurate. Have fun sailing on a sinking ship. It's sad to see Bioware go, but you guys had your chance             JM: Cheers!

EDIT:  WHOA the formatting really messed up there sorry.

The fact that we get to spend time with the characters we've all come to love and really care about is good enough for me. Now, don't get me wrong. Just that isn't worth $15, but this dlc isn't just that is it? More gameplay that will include more than just your ME3 squad and whole lot more content that we know nothing about yet. I'm very glad I only have to wait 12 days for this.

What he was trying to say is that your analogy was flawed because receiving a car with half of its components missing would likely imply that it doesn't even function. The closest analogy you could probably come up with would be receiving a copy of Mass Effect 3 that has a large crack in it and, thus, renders it incapable of functioning. I honestly cannot even conceive of a closer situation using automobiles to what you were looking for.

I am in the point of view of she was in the wrong and could have reacted better but the way people are acting in this thread is stupid i mean people have been trolling her for about a year now she was bound to snap back at some point

That is obviously step one of the conversation, but in my conversation the person isn't really interested in the particulars of the job anymore.

cgi cutscenes take alot of that data, Furniture shopping, gambling on a casino, pew pew cerbys no doubt, enhanced pinnacle station with its apartment and battle arena and a conspiracy theory from nowhere. For the last dlc it seems standalone and wont change nothing as you'll still blow your apartment up when you choose your fave color. Pointless dlc but hey im a whiner when it comes to ME3.

Yep. As near as I can tell she's just telling it like it is.

There are really only two possibilities here. Either she's telling the truth about the numbers, or she isn't. If the numbers really are what she says they are, getting mad at her for telling us that is just silly. Are people accusing her of lying, or just being mean?

If she is lying, Bio's in the interesting position of sticking with an ending "we" don't like because they like it better. It'd be funny to see fan outrage about that, considering all the hate EA gets for "pandering."

Vega in formal attire in one of those pictures is intriguing since he's not seen in that uniform during any point in ME3. Meaning ... maybe this is something a little later down the road after "the adventure is over" .... like post-ending. Maybe he gets promoted.

no.

I think this is the important distinction.  It's been almost a year.  She's been putting up with this for a long time, from the same people over and over.

Ah, thanks. Yeah, going from "internal and confidential" to "lie" is pretty cheesy.

This "sinister conspiracy" sounds very interesting.

Does it?

I would have preferred co-op single player with no additional content . . . to this.
