Hey, if the ending wasn'ts something I found to be a  completely repugnant end to the trilogy and have to install a mod to be able to complete the game, I'd be all over this dlc.

Yeah, same here. It sounds like they really went deep into fanservice territory with this, because "more ME2 squadmate content" was one of the biggest demands, and many people craved for more romance content. That's totally cool!

Those who were and are disappointed with the endings just might find it sad that Shepard gets to spend more time with his friends and even gets a home when they know he will never return to either of them in the end. But well, there's MEHEM...!

straight to the point...........thank you bioware for all your hard work and for listening to fan feed back

If they listened to fan feedback they'd fix the bloody ending not do some pointless and frankly rediculous "party in the middle of the apocalypse" DLC.

My only concern with this DLC is that I'm going to love the character-focus, get even more attached to my friends, have insight into a part of Shepard's life that seems really cool (e.g., apartment, lounging with friends, etc.)...and then the ending is just *that* much more depressing because there's no Shep-crew reunion.

What is better, living an experience and risk it or living with the regret of not choosing to risk?

"We're also extremely privileged to have worked with the late Robin Sachs on the Citadel DLC. #ZaeedForever"

God damnit BW, you're certainly testing my principles here.
...
But no, still not buying it.

You guys would pay $15 for what sounds like you're speculating is going to be partially a dating sim?

Egads.

I'd rather have storyline progression and closure.

Here's to hoping that a portion of the DLC takes place after the Starchild fiasco.

Im guessing Jacob dumped your femshep

I'll reserve judgement until I learn all about this new DLC. But if it doesn't contain a better ending, particularly one where Shepard can live without sacrificing anyone, no promises.

You guessed wrong.

Jacob was never on the menu.

This is the most boring DLC I could think of them making and I'm not a hater. Loved Leviathan. I was specifically hoping the Citadel DLC wasn't true.

Will not buy.

Alan, it is a flawed premise given that it is a game "urgency" issue. Bioware could have placed a timer, a countdown clock to force the player to "move along" but then, that would restrict exploration now wouldn't it?

Are you willing to stand by this for any game (most games) that feature content besides the main plot?

Also: I apparently am the only person who knows that R&R is, like, an actual thing that, like, real militaries use.

The premise of being out there searching for Saren still holds true In ME1. That "race" still entails your search and thus the exploration of unchartered worlds in hope of locating or failing that finding clues to aid your search for Saren.

Searching random worlds over the entire galaxy in the hope that Saren might have landed on one of them?

Not sure if serious....

(I'd put the pic in but I've already seen it three times today)

Alan, it is a flawed premise given that it is a game "urgency" issue. Bioware could have placed a timer, a countdown clock to force the player to "move along" but then, that would restrict exploration now wouldn't it?

However for gameplay sake, the suspension of urgency here was excercised.

Right. ME1's exploration feature was always incoherent. But I've been putting up with that sort of thing in CRPGs for almost thirty years now. It's silly to say this is a problem with this DLC in particular when the lack of consequences for delay is something they've done in earlier games, did in the main game, and will certainly do again in future games

I am just saying that shopping to pad an apartment is so out of Character for Shepard in the face of a Reaper invasion. Do you disagree?

The ME3 campaign is known to take six months or so; the Crucible can't be built in a week, after all. How many days out of those months are spent fighting Reapers? One per non-fedex mission, say? That leaves us at least a hundred days spent doing other stuff. If Shepard wants to fit ten days of shore leave or so in there, it's not a problem

So if I understood this correctly it's just a The Sims DLC with a stand alone story (not the kind of DLC a trilogy should finish) and a casino. God... really, Bioware? A casino and an apartment just before the whole Citadel is going to be a bloodbath? Before loosing everything? Ok, at least there is more content for those who romanced non-crew characters like Jack or Miranda. However, no offense, really, but this is hilarious. I'm speechless...

Could it be this is the direction the EA overlords are taking Bioware? Not ME4: Call of Effect, but Sims5: ME!

Did anyone else watch The Pacific? They had a whole episode set in Australia in the middle of the war.

When a sinister conspiracy targets Commander Shepard, you and your team must uncover the truth, through battles and intrigue that range from the glamour of the Citadel’s Wards to the top-secret Council Archives.  Uncover the truth and fight alongside your squad – as well as the cast from the original Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2.

Question - If any of the original squad members have died, will the stand ins then be accescible instead?

For instance - if I had Wrex shot, will I then be able to select Wreav instead?

I would like to know this as well.

Yeah If I end up getting this, it'll probably be after V0.3 of MEHEM, at least.

Then I can at least pretend my concerns mattered to Bioware.

I'm sorry. I admit it. I'm having trouble not laughing at the stupidity of the 'play house' aspect of this DLC.

This might have made sense in ME2, where we were purely reactive until actually jumping through the Omega 4 relay. We potentially had a lot of downtime while waiting to be told what to do, where to go, or who to recruit.

In ME3, we are, by contrast, almost purely pro-active. We're not waiting to be told where to go next, we're spending every waking moment trying to convince the other races of the galaxy that Earth is more important than whatever second rate planet they happen to have evolved on.

Combined with the whole immutable "and then the Reapers steal the Citadel and it gets blown up" aspect, it becomes even more laughable that BioWare actually thought this was content we were looking for.

Frankly, I won't be at all surprised if the 'plot' of this DLC is just another failed attempt to implement foreshadowing about the starbrat in the vain hopes that people will accept that it's a genius addition to the story instead of the panicked last minute a**pull we all know it to be.

So if you play this after Thessia, does Shep not look so haggard for the rest of the game ?

Sorry, sticking to my principles here, if it affects the ending I'm in if not - well there's always that XCOM DLC to get.

So, now I just assume Shepard and his/her crew quit and spend their final days together on the Citadel. Otherwise... Shepard having a party on the Citadel while Earth, Palaven, Thessia.... are being destroyed is just... weird.

So. Going from the description and imagery, it's almost going to have a James Bond feel to it - lavish, luxurious backdrops combined with intrigue and that sort of thing. Noticed the added ME1/2 characters, an apt choice - it's no secret that most aren't fond of the ME3 exclusive squadmates. I'd expect this to go over significantly better than Omega's DLC.

Try your luck at the Citadel’s Silver Coast Casino, blow off steam in the Armax Combat Arena, or explore and furnish Shepard’s own living quarters on the Citadel.

Hopefully the casino offers something a tad more exciting than Quasar. :P

Of course it's only natural because we know so little about it, but people need to remember the whole uncover-the-conspiracy gameplay that's going to be in this DLC. The squadmate stuff is only one part of what this is giving us.

And after Ashley/Kaidan died on Virmire, you went to dance on the Citadel or pick up minerals from some rock in ME1. It's a game people...
