You know, fanservice is fine.....for a mid-release DLC.

And a little fanservice added in during any DLC, is a good thing.

But a final DLC that seems to be largely Fanservice? eeeeeh.

Due to the *seeming* fanservice heavy bent of this DLC (and based on all the drooling *Gimme sexytime! Fanbois on here) I'm going to say that I'm betting if Thane doesn't die in ME3, you find a cure for him in this DLC.

So, now I just assume Shepard and his/her crew quit and spend their finals days together on the Citadel. Otherwise... Shepard having a party on the Citadel while Earth, Palaven, Thessia.... are being destroyed is just... weird.

And after Ashley/Kaidan died on Virmire, you went to dance on the Citadel or pick up minerals from some rock in ME1. It's a game people...

Yes, but the tone of ME3 is :
BE DEPRESSED AND CONCERNED ABOUT EVERYTHING ALL THE TIME.

Thane is already dead when this DLC is first available, which is after the Citadel Coup.

I'm sorry. I admit it. I'm having trouble not laughing at the stupidity of the 'play house' aspect of this DLC.

This might have made sense in ME2, where we were purely reactive until actually jumping through the Omega 4 relay. We potentially had a lot of downtime while waiting to be told what to do, where to go, or who to recruit.

In ME3, we are, by contrast, almost purely pro-active. We're not waiting to be told where to go next, we're spending every waking moment trying to convince the other races of the galaxy that Earth is more important than whatever second rate planet they happen to have evolved on.

Combined with the whole immutable "and then the Reapers steal the Citadel and it gets blown up" aspect, it becomes even more laughable that BioWare actually thought this was content we were looking for.

Frankly, I won't be at all surprised if the 'plot' of this DLC is just another failed attempt to implement foreshadowing about the starbrat in the vain hopes that people will accept that it's a genius addition to the story instead of the panicked last minute a**pull we all know it to be.

BILLIONS of lives are at stake and we're worried about "rekindling" our relationships,  chuming up with friends at the casion,  and how our pad on the citadel looks.   All I have to say is "all hands are on deck".

I really hope this DLC features the collectors and new enemy types. Not hopin to fight more reapers and cerberus again :L
(Now i'm bummed that the cerberus dragoon and geth bomber werent in omega, feels like a missed opportunity)

Collectors? Es Están muertos.

Fixed :P

You guys would pay $15 for what sounds like you're speculating is going to be partially a dating sim?

Egads.

I'd rather have storyline progression and closure.

Here's to hoping that a portion of the DLC takes place after the Starchild fiasco.

That's what actually concerns me the most. If there're enough people willing to pay for that kind of DLC then EAware will start making more and more DLC's like this one. I'm OK with DLC's as long as they are not cut content (which sadly is NOT the case, we're talking about EA after all) but this... this is not just fan service but a huge middle finger to all people who still hoped Bioware could basically get their **** together. There was lack of ME2 squad members and it got worse for LI's like Miranda or Jack, yes, and it certainly needed to be fixed somehow; however, this cannot be the last DLC of the whole trilogy and certainly not at this price. A science fiction shooter trilogy cannot end with a DLC where you can basically roll dices and get laid in your brand new apartment while people is getting killed out there. It's hilarious!

Editing my original post.....to reflect that Thane doesn't have to die in ME3.

Unless having this installed changes that.

Is DLC even allowed to do that? Forget what the rules Microsoft and Sony have against DLC changing stuff.

Something tells me this will be one intriguing DLC. A conspiracy in the Citadel? I wish I had a time machine so I can fast forward to March 5th.

Don't forget going shooting with Garrus, meeting up with Jack at the bar, dinner dates on the Citadel, Vega playing poker with the refugees. I don't know what line this DLC's supposed to be crossing that ME3 wan't already over.

Bioware just set themselves up for more shame on the inter webs. Will this be the straw that broke the camels back to the general gamer when this news spreads far and wide? I'll be curious to see just how bad of a reaction this turns into once the game releases. I'm not wishing for it - but I wont be surprised if it turns out how the conversation here currently reads.

After fans kept talking about wanting more hubs and more ME2 squadmate interaction? I'll take that bet.

Isn't the end of the world the perfect time to reconnect with our friends and lovers?

Shepard can't be fighting the Reapers every second of his life for several months. He would snap from the stress and pressure. This is just a game; enjoy the content without worrying about breaking 'narrative flow' or whatever. If that was such a big deal, you'd end up skipping a ton of great missions in this game.

I tend to assume Shepard does the less mission critical things in spare time while the Normandy is getting resupplied.

So you rather pay $15,00 for an ending dlc and start a trend where EA and others will begin to exploit and release future games with bad/unfinished endings so people would buy the ending dlc later?

Yep, sounds smart to me!

Episodic titles also follow a scheme not that dissimilar to that...and in the case of TWD, I daresay paying 25€ for the 5-episode bundle was well worth investing and has me hooked for the next season.

You were sold cut content already, if you purchased the first DLC.

The practice is already blooming, you're being exploited all the time. The only thing that varies is how overtly they do it.

It's implicit. Wasn't it obvious enough? Would you pay as well? Is that what you're saying? Please. Enlighten me! I beg you!
