Om the R&r thing, I see no problem with that.

I think Shepard taking a "shore leave" during the war with the Reapers when he should be working constantly against them is ridiculous. I can't see Shepard doing it in good conscience. Especially the Shepard in ME3 who's depressed all the time thinking about Earth, the kid, Thessia, etc. And gambling and decorating his apartment? I have to think "seriously?" It's not much different from a vacation on a beach planet. Making this the final DLC just makes it even worse.CronoDragoon wrote...

I actually thought Arkham City was really bad with that, even considering it was a video game. That game just did not have a good flow with me. One of the reasons I prefer Arkham Asylum. Maybe being in the same place the entire time didn't help. Both Mass Effect 2 and 3 did much better with the flow of their stories.
Anyway though, I was talking more about just how ridiculous it seems then how well it flows, for the DLC.
What is ridiculous about R&R though?

There is a bar on the Normandy. Why can't this kind of thing happen there?
How significant this conspiracy will be to draw Shepard's attention away from the Reapers is yet to be seen, but I doubt it will be significant enough, unless if it has to do with IT.
Because unraveling this conspiracy plot will be so tiring and brutal as fighting a Reaper, that Shepard will need time off to gamble and drink? And get an apartment with decorations? What kind of soldier sets up a home and decorates it during a major war? Let alone one of the head figures in it?CronoDragoon wrote...

But the announcement says all the squadmate romance/casino stuff occurs after the Citadel conspiracy. He isn't really "taking a shore leave" so much as chilling for a day or two after he finishes his shooty business on the Citadel.

Chilling for a day or two is way too long.
Pretty simple fix. If going to a bar or casino doesn't fit your Shepard, don't play that part of the game...

I won't. I just think this is very underwhelming as final DLC.BeastSaver wrote...

You know that this "conspiracy plot" involves lots of combat, right?

The Citadel isn't a warzone. And I didn't say Shepard shouldn't have any R&R.CronoDragoon wrote...

Well, I suppose you could try going to a warzone and telling soldiers they don't deserve R&R because "they should be used to it."

There's no reason this "mission" will be any more strenuous on Shepard than usual. It will probably be less so.

So, what do you guys make of this conspiracy plot, and how it pertains to the Citadel?
I have my speculations, but, unfortunately, I've gotten to a point where my ideas are more "this'd be cool" situations than actual "could be" scenarios.

Again, gambling, decorating an apartment while Earth burns, etc.AlanC9 wrote...

If R&R is OK, what's the problem?

Can anyone explain this to me:
" Mass Effect 3: Citadel offers one final chance to see the characters you have known for years and rekindle romances."
If this happens before London and all, that ain't the final chance. Won't we like talk to these guys before we sprint to hug harbinger?
