Closure isn't coming.

"Sorry, no DLC beyond what you saw there. It was intentional so that Shep could either live or die so no one is invalidated." - Jessica Merizan

If that is the point of that scene then Bioware just needs to come and say they screwed up.  You do not end a trilogy with almost no closure to any characters.  That is just utterly pathetic and inept on their part.  How could you sit there and play that after years of being with these characters and think the fans would accept that as good closure?  Seriously... get new QA or crowd test or something.

Yeah, it's like ending Star Wars VI without knowing what happens to Luke, Vader, or the Emperor.

Than wait till you look it up on youtube before you proclaim it as the worst piece of dlc ever.

Who's calling it the worst piece of DLC ever? Many of us are still saying that if there's no closure, and all we have to look forward to is that breath scene, what's the point? Why build a condo when it's going to burn? How replayable is this going to be for $15  exactly?  If the answer is not very, then there are a lot of better ways to spend the money. I like many won't give them a penny until the player reviews are in and the Youtubes are up, and I still won't waste my money on Leviathan or Omega. They're too expensive for what you get.

What closure is there in THE MATRIX trilogy?  People said there was too much closure in LORD OF THE RINGS.   The bastards had the gall to destroy the DeLorean in BACK TO THE FUTURE PART III, can you believe it?  I watched 110 episodes of ANGEL and didn't get a lick of closure.  Who cares if the ending was thematically relevant?

Fans are idiots, as is any creative person who listens to his or her 'fanbase.'

No one liked the ending of The Matrix and people thought LOTR ending went on too long.

I'd have to disagree with you. I'd say that any creative person who doesn't listen to their fans is an idiot. As much as the story and universe a creative individual makes is theirs, they should leave room to include things that the fans want, because it will make it a better experience for those who read/watch/play it.

In defense of LOTR, it was chasing the story whose ending was much longer, and quite frankly, probably needed to be longer. Nevertheless, it was working off a book. Not a new work made for film.

Yeah, I didn't have a problem with it myself at all.

What? I remember being absolutely livid back in 2003 that they had cut the devastation of the Shire.

Same here, I think it was people who hadn't read the books who thought it went on too long.

Worst thing of the day yet:

"The Commander Shepard trilogy ends with Citadel DLC, so there really isn't a future for Shepard's story. - Chris Priestly

They really are buzzkillers. Hype down to 0%.

Armax Combat Arena? Sounds like it could be interesting, maybe we can play the MP
maps with our AI squadmates then? Probably not, but it would be awesome.

Still not sure why all the hate for the Omega DLC. I actually got a cool power from the DLC, which I LOVED to use against the Brutes.

The ME3 campaign is known to take six months or so; the Crucible can't be built in a week, after all. How many days out of those months are spent fighting Reapers? One per non-fedex mission, say? That leaves us at least a hundred days spent doing other stuff. If Shepard wants to fit ten days of shore leave or so in there, it's not a problem

So what you're saying is.....Shepard is haunted throughout the entire game by some dumb kid who Shepard spoke 2 words to before he died, but millions of others matter so little to him that he would just chill at the citadel for two weeks?

The idea of the Citadel dlc taking place during the ending is too absurd for words.

Omega DLC was fine if you're really into the ME gameplay and enjoy the action as much as anything else, but a lot of people are into ME for story and character content, which Omega was void of compared to what we expect from anything in the ME universe. If Omega was cheaper I would have been okay with it honestly.

Wow, sad that this thread has become so negative.

Look, I did not like the endings either. And admit to being disappointed a while back when we were told that this final dlc would not change/effect them. But this DLC is promising, and I am very excited for it. I really don't understand how people are tearing at something they haven't even seen yet. I'm not surprised about it, been on BSN far too long for that, but I still don't understand.

If you hated the ending so much that it soured your love of the franchise, I guess this is the time to find another, or play something else. Or get MEHEM on PC...or just headcanon it. But running around calling those of us that are excited "fanboys/girls" and spewing venom in the forum is not going to change anything.

As much love as MEHEM gets, one fact remains: it's fake.
It's like piecing together audio and photoshopped images into Star Wars V & VI to make it look like Obi-wan was alive instead of a ghost. It never happened, and if you accept it you're as blind as the rEApers who made the ME3 ending in the first place.

This topic is the perfect example of BSN, and possibly the core Mass Effect fanbase. The topic starts out with people praising it and being excited for about 15 pages of it, and then it slowly creeps down into negativity, and now we're all back to hating the game.

What is very irritating is that BSN has been filled with topics and posts about people wanting a romance DLC and closure with their favorite characters. Bioware delivers EXACTLY what those topics were asking for, and now people have the gall to turn their heads and say "I didn't want that, why did you do that, you don't listen!!!" Sounds like my sister during her senior high days. I also have a niece that likes to do that and she's only 3 >___>

This only proves the point that people just don't know what they want and they can't be happy. It's fine if you don't like this DLC. I personally didn't want just a romance DLC. I wanted a DLC related to the Keepers actually, but to say Bioware never listened is stupidity at its worst.

What makes people so self-centered and entitled that they should have their own specific ideas listened to? Do people expect a company to sit through every single person's wish list and complaint list? I've read dozens of comments saying "Bioware said they were listening, but they obviously didn't put what I specifically wanted in". Sure, let's just ignore the thousands of topics asking for ME2 squad mates and closure for romances. I bet I could find 10 of those topics on the first 5 pages of BSN.

As for a Shepard Pimp Pad...what's so bad about that? You aren't forced to do it. It sacrifices the emergency of war, the reality of being at war so you can't enjoy R&R.....what? Are we really worried about that? Jee, and here I thought I was playing a game and was supposed to have fun or something. It'd be like complaining in Persona 4 that I wanted to hang out with my friend and solve his emotional struggles because someone is stuck in the TV world that needs rescuing.
