seriously, Bioware, i cant wrap my head around these strange ideas for this DLC. the only thing that is for certain is that many of the ideas, even if they are optional, would just be better if left out. old squadmates is the ONLY thing that makes sense. and to me not worth $15, especially knowing there will be no essential changes to the ending(s). to each his own and all that, but i predict this dlc will be the worst selling of all ME dlc's.
this^ if its not the IT or something else ending related I think that there will be people that will have Deja vu of Omega/Levi crap all over again and will wonder why they got that one as well.

I guess no one was a true fan of Middle Earth before 2007 then, because Children of Hurin was only published in 2007.Archonsg wrote...
I think he meant the plebeian masses, who have never read the books, not just The Hobbit and three Lord of the Rings books but Simarilion and Children of Hurin. You can't call yourself a "fan" of Middle Earth otherwise.

Well I'm slightly underwhelmed at the prospect of this DLC, I realize it was a fools hope to hold out for "something" to fix the series for me, but there we have it. At least they seem to be listening to some people as to what should be in the game, so they're not totally deaf to the fans yet, if slightly selective in their hearing.
I do find it a bit silly given the sombre note of the game forced on the player, and the constant "Everyone's dying" "War is hell!" messages flung about, that we would take time to play Quasar, do a few rounds of Arena battles, and do some interior decorating. I mean if it's after the coup than Mordin and Thane have just died, perfect time to pick out drapes.
Also I'm not sure if this has been mentioned already (I haven't read all 40 pages), but from the description of the plot I wonder if it's the cut Cerberus missions on the Citadel that were in the leaked script, if so it's another case of cut content being re-purposed for later sale.
As for the cut Cerberus missions - do you have a link for concise info on those? I have the script but it's a bit unwieldy

For example, we like more LI time, definitely, but overriding that a Re-union with said LI anda better Epilogue involving Shepard and LI's future.
Instead they just focused on "LI time" and ignored the rest.
Now, how many here had the same premise and concept of what they wanted for their Shepard and LI? How many of you did not want the re-union and just wanted more LI time?
As for those of us now making fun of this DLC, speaking for myself, note that I haven't said anything about if it'll change the ending or about the Conspiracy. Why? No real info. Yet.
For all I know we'll get a surprise and they will expand the already present easter egg in high emd destroy and add in a "final word" epilogue, giving closure to Shepard, our LI, and the Normandy crew, (Think of Baldur's Gate 2 ToB epilogue and closure) you know, the characters we care about in the game.
But of course this scenario is all but non-existent, still as some have mentioned, till it is out and played / youtubed, what is said of the DLC, might not necessarily be what is *in* the DLC.
For the moment though, I poke fun of what we *do* know. Till proven wrong by gameplay.

It bewilders me from a business perspective that BioWare doesn't have ending-related DLC content. I could see them making at least 5x more sales extending the ending than with this.

Wow, there's a whole lot of rage about a DLC that no one has played. Get a grip people. Stop raging about crap that's in only in your imagination. I mean, at least wait until the DLC is out before you judge.
Even then, it's still a game. It's not real life. If only people could get this indignant or involved about the troubles going on in the real world.
Don't judge a book by it's cover in other words.
I would agree that people need to accept this is just a game, because if they get this upset over a game, I'd like to see how they handle the real world. Time for a reality check, I'd say. Tough luck kiddies, real life is harder than trying to play a video game. Now there's a dose of reality for them.

Right you are!
And Prior to 2007, not read The Silmarillion.
Honourary "True fan" title are to be given to those who have left for the Blessed Isles prior to 2007, and 1977 repectively.
No excuse otherwise.

Well I found this one: pastebin.com/ferTx1qx
It is a bit ungainly but if you do a search fo the word assassin it finds the section, also searching for Cerberus finds some other stuff too. Interestingly there is interspersed among the script references to other missions involving former squadmates as well. Some were fleshed out or altered and ended up in the game proper but it will be interesting to see if anything from there pops up in the DLC.

Well that's disappointing, the last DLC is going to be a romance content DLC? No big fights? No boss battle? No moments of clarity?
If you read the DLC's full description, the main part of it involves a conspiracy against Shepard, and you'll fight your way through parts of the Citadel, as well as other locations. The other portion, rekindling romances and such, take place after the mission.
Quote:
When a sinister conspiracy targets Commander Shepard, you and your team must uncover the truth, through battles and intrigue that range from the glamour of the Citadel’s Wards to the top-secret Council Archives. Uncover the truth and fight alongside your squad – as well as the cast from the original Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2.

The announcement says there will be a story and mission(s) about a conspiracy against Shepard, and an opportunity to meet old friends again and rekindling romances - who you can also fight alongside.
How the hell can anyone read this as "this is a DLC only about romance and hanging out with old friends".
I think it's the perfect mix. A story and missions (if it's anything like the previous story DLC, three or four) AND meeting some of my ME2 team again. In the past, I said two things could get me excited: More Miranda and a changed Synthesis ending with Shepard as its avatar. I didn't think I'd get either, so to get one of those two things is like an unexpected gift.

So let me get this straight...you pay $15 for this dlc so you could basically ”hang out” with your ME1 and ME2 squad mates one more time? I love mass effect but this dlc is not worth it. A dlc focusing on the stargazer cutscene would of been interesting seeing the galaxy after the war. Maybe I'm wrong and this dlc will be totally awesome but to make this as the last ME3 SP dlc seriously? ”what should this last dlc be about? oh just make Shepard go talk to wrex” lol
Read the description. This is NOT what the DLC will focus on. There is an actual mission: "When a sinister conspiracy targets Commander Shepard, you and your team must uncover the truth, through battles and intrigue that range from the glamour of the Citadel’s Wards to the top-secret Council Archives. Uncover the truth and fight alongside your squad as well as the cast from the original Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2."
Everything else is just a bonus, after the mission.

Actually, if this DLC was post Ending it would have been a $40.00 DLC for me.
A post ending DLC would have convinced me to purchase it, Omega and Leviathan.

They need to work on their marketting skills then. From the sound of it, this'll be something more similar to Kasumi's loyalty mission, which I'll happily do again.

Also, so not fair, Leviathan was actually a very decent DLC and very much worth the 800 points.

And for which, all of it has zero impact on how it all ends.
You are still just a corpse about to be, alone, bleeding out on a patch of rubble
Of course there's always MEHEM.
Actually, to be fair, I'll wait to see what exactly I'll be getting before deciding on *if* I want to buy tbis.

I had to double-take at the second paragraph, it's constructed so poorly.
