Yep. For the first time in a year, I'm smiling at an announcement of an ME3 DLC instead of staring at the screen with trepidation.SilentK wrote...
Woot! Just logged on and it sounds great =) very happy indeed.
....and if the Miranda content features those character traits whose absence I've always complained about, the trilogy will resume the place it had before ME3 came out in my personal hall of video game fame. EC fixed ending (well, for the most part), Leviathan fixed lack of foreshadowing of the Catalyst, Citadel hopefully mitigates flaws in character writing.![]()
agree that's really the only thing that me3 is lacking now

Judging by the probable size of DLC, the pricing of the DLC, and the amount of variability within the DLC, I suspect the following to be true:
1. Probably shorter than Shadow Broker. I'm thinking it'll be around the same amount of missions minus 1 or 2 legs.
2. Hub additions probably similar to Shadow Broker additions, in terms of size of content
3. Each squaddie probably has a scene w/ Shep similar to Liara's revisit the Normandy ala Shadow Broker. Maybe only your LI/ friend of your choice gets this scene per runthrough.
4. Probably 1 final scene including all squaddies to tie things up.
I trust the content within the DLC to be good. Hell, they're bringing back all the writers (AKA WEEKES!!!) for this Goliath. But whether or not it makes the game worth replaying will be what's really in question.

Going to be patient however, since when this bad boy comes out, it'll be the final piece of the entire jigsaw with regards to this trilogy. Gonna have to commit myself to a mega-ultra-super-flantabulous-hairy-shakespearian-special-minky-binky-bo-pinky-ma-ninky playthrough from cradle to grave (as it were)...
Once i've finished by playthrough of Dragon Age!
I cannot wait for this, gonna be an emotional playthrough this one, knowing that everything that there is of Mass Effect is all there already.

I think he meant Cerberus. Seems awkward otherwise.FOX216BC wrote...

Anyone recognize the symbol on the left dudes arm?
Could it be a simplified image of the Citadel Tower? I can't find a decent image of the building other than this one. So I'm wondering if these are some kind of Elite Citadel troops, the "Council Guard" or something like that. Speculationz...

With a lot of luck we may get one next week. Otherwise, March 4th.

Shocker people on BSN complaining about Mass Effect. All this complaining reminds me why I stopped coming here and I only decided to check it out again because I was excited about the DLC. I will never understand why people hate a game so much but yet hang out on the forum talking about it even though the game was released a year ago.
I for one am very much looking forward to this DLC.
You know, the usual answer: "we care about Shepard and the characters"
I can't wait for March 5th. Only one thing is in my mind: When is the best time to play the DLC? It's available after the Coup. But for instance my 2 Shepards are right before Cronos Station. Does that mean I'll miss out on certain characters?
Hmm, curious. Very curious indeed.

I love that second image of the gang chilling at the bar. Especially how James and Wrex (of all people) actually bothered to dress up while Shepard and Liara are in their work threads.
Liara's wearing a dress in that pic, if I'm not mistaken. Apparently, Shepard missed out on the new dress code.

Apologies if this has already been brought up. Someone raised it on another forum, and I was flabbergasted that this point hadn't occurred to me until he or she wrote it. Unless your Shepard is a raving renegade, shouldn't he or she have a twinge of conscience about this?

If you're happy about the dlc dont read the rest of this thread. It is a huge depressing soul siphon.
Agreed

Do people not think it slightly inconguous that Shepard seems to be getting a nice spacious apartment, while families of refugees are living in cargo containers in the Citadel docks? An apartment which he will barely use because he spends most of his time on the Normandy?

I can understand getting drunk and the party bit, perhaps the chilling out as R&R, but a personal living quarters? No, that doesn't work. Let's take an example from another BioWare game, Dragon Age: Origins. It's like the Warden suddenly says "you know what, I'm gonna buy a house. Archdemon, you say? Pfft, he'll wait. Say Morrigan, you think I look fat with these curtains?"
Come on. This kind of stuff works on Skyrim, but let's be honest, this ain't it. Skyrim is an open world game in which you can keep playing after finishing it.
Please, all you who are happy about this, help me understand that living quarters thing? It breaks the flow and the pace. Thematically it's very different from the fetch quests or other side things. It's a house. Your own flat. It's a place where you settle down. You don't settle down when there's a war going on. I don't remember my grandad decorating my house when he was fighting the Russians in Winter War...

Okay, I don't mean to spam this issue - because no one else seems to care apparently - but the logo on these soldiers is definitely related to the Citadel Tower building. Look at the similarity with this image of the Human Embassy logo (via HTL).

Also I wonder who could be after Shepard... perhaps some indoc'd Harbinger thralls, that would be a nice little way to include a "fight" with Harby.

It's an interesting possibility. I'm working another angle though.

The war is a lie! Just like Kasumi Romances! Shepard is living a life just like the Truman show! The DLC reveals all! That scene with them sitting? That's them in the break room of the set!
