If this DLC is worth a damn to care about, I'll wait till someone mods it to make it the ending. That's assuming anyone cares enough which probably won't happen.

It sad enough that dont care about their game's story to fix the plotholes.

We actually began planning not long after ME3 shipped and did most of our writing in... late summer? It's been a long road. :)

Damn.

Wait so Bioware was going to make the changes based on the biggest side? The pro ending people already had they're ending. Shouldn't they of just added two new endings to the already available list of endings that way both sides would of been happy?

That would be too logical for them, besides that costs money better off making crappy DLCs for cheaper instead. People have been eating the spoon feed crap so far.

maybe, but the truth is that no matter how much we scream, Bioware knows how bad it would be hit, by either making a DLC that revamps the game (They would have to rewrite the game to remove mention of Starbrat/Catalyst) or making a new edition of the game just to remake the endings. Not going to happen, as I realized quickly after Extended Cut.

I've liked all the other DLC and I'm really looking forward to enjoying one last story with all my Shepard's although I'm sad that the Mass Effect trilogy will finally be at an end. I hope that Citadel gives Shep and all the characters I've grown to love so much a good send off.

Your optimism is contagious. I'm reasonably sure I'll like what the Citadel DLC will offer. If it just wasn't for the confusing info about ME2 team members and story content.

I really didn't like the endings. And, I am really excited about this DLC, which will be the first DLC I purchase for ME3. I understand that there will be a natural stop to the DLC where you can remain without going forward to the main game plot leading to the GlowChild. I don't have to go past Citadel to the horrible endings. Shepard gets his home with his friends and his LI. The rest of the plot I can do without anyway. Thanks for listening BioWare.

Really ? Final DLC and no fixed ending?

As a Bioware fan i am deeply hurt. I've got all other dlc's in hope that things will get better and now this ? I am going to repeat what has been already said tens of thousands of times. The game up to the beam is easily a 10 out of 10. And everything from that point is pure rubbish. Not mediocre not of lower quality, just plain lazy ass rubbish. Everyone pointed this out but no one cares. Here take this dlc, doesn't change anything just now you can party on the citadel during wartime, time in which people all over the galaxy get massacred. Doesn't it make sense ? No problem here are some war assets, which is nothing more than a number. You want to see your war assets in action in the final battle ? Well to bad all you get is the 1 second breathe clip, which has already been added in the game and was there since day one, and we will not ever change any of it due to "Artistic integrity". That will be 15$ bucks thank you.

It seems nowadays they only care about selling crap dlc and no longer care about their product or their fans. :( EA has taught them well.
This is very sad. In the history of gaming no other company has stirred so much passion for a franchise in it's fans. This has been proven by how vocal the entire community became regarding the endings.

Personally as of this dlc i will stop purchasing any Bioware product until i see a change, and i believe all their fans should do the same, if they can't hear or voices to notice us, maybe they will notice once the money stops coming in, realize there is actually a problem and go back to being the Bioware that we all love, and actually listen to their fans. And then we can all start buying their stuff once again.

If by crap DLC you mean a DLC that seems to have woven itself out of my fantasies then yes.

Look, seriously. Why were you expecting DLC that would alter the ending? I will believe the ending of ME3 was a BioWare brain fart until my dying day, but I was not, in any way, holding out for ending DLC. They have been painfully clear that it isn't happening. Believe me, I get that it's a kick in the gut to see the final nail put in the coffin at last, but we have been watching the hammer come down on that nail since post-EC.

This DLC is just about the best I could have realistically hoped for.

Apparently any DLC that doesn't change the ending is fail DLC, no matter how well written it could turn out to be, no matter how fun the gameplay section is, no matter how closely it aligns with all the other fan wishes besides post-ending DLC.

Could not have said it any better.

The trilogy ends ... poorly. But that's the story BW is sticking with for some ungodly reason.

But at this point i really only care about the characters. This DLC seems to be offering me one last hurrah with them and that's what really matters.

Totally Disagreed, This DLC is clearly a fan service .

People wanted play as Geth in MP

They added Geth

People wanted Collectors in MP

They added Collectors

People wanted play as Volus in MP

They added Volus

People wanted  Ending DLC

They released Extended Cut

People wanted Omega DLC

They released Omega DLC

People wanted play as Female Turian in MP

They added Female Turian

People wanted Romance Content (Its pretty late but at least they listened)

Now this .

Maybe endings are poor but you cant say bioware doesnt care about their fans .

I don't really play MP that much and am mostly focused on the SP story. As such, I'll concede that the EC is a pretty huge piece of evidence that Bioware is listening in *some* way. Omega DLC is something that a subset of fans were requesting, so I"ll give them Omega too (though I personally don't care for it). As for romance content...I also think this will end up being pretty cool, but a more closed fate for Shepard (and/or a possible complete redo or fix of the ending) would have been MUCH higher on my priority list.

Ultimately, as a lot of people have pointed out, so many different fans are saying they want so many different things...this can only lead to one thing, which is BW picking a subset of requests (if they want to, of course BW doesn't *have* to do anything that fans request). Though we can't be sure, I'd venture to say that this subset is going to be driven by cost, effort (easy enough to add a Blasto poster to Shepard's cabin), and avoidance of dealing with the ending, which is what fuels my disappointment the most.

For some, apparently. For me, the new DLC comes at the right time, just as I'm making my peace with the flaws in the story. All except one, that is, and that one's not ending-related.

I play ME3 to have a good story, one I can have a hand in writing. I won't let it be ruined by bad writing, nor by others' malice here on the forum. I got an outcome I like, and if it doesn't exactly come about in a way I like, that matters less than the outcome itself. This DLC will add to my story, and it features at least one thing I never expected to see. For that, Bioware will get my money and the ME3 team - if the content is good - my appreciation.
