BLOW UP THE PIC!

Is that a SCAR on Sheps jawline?!

Image IPB

It's a Renegade scar, from his implants.

Missing the other scars though.  The spiderweb pattern.  Plus, the eyes are not red.

Second pic is from a fully Renegade Shepard, BioWare promo pic is not. The scars increase and get worse over time as you play, if you're a Renegade. They don't all just appear at once.

If there's going to be new squad content, there's a chance I may actually get this.

I'll probably see what everyone else thinks of it first, though.$15 is pretty steep, even if it is too big to fit in one download.

Hmm...Bioware knows how to compress their DLCs. Omega decompressed was more than 4gb if i am not wrong.
So this new DLC is either going to be very long or will have lots of variation.
Particularly i bet in the second option since they talked about old squadmates in this DLC.

2. The only ending Shepard potentially survives is high EMS destroy. the whole "hanging out on the citadel" thing sounds pretty out of place in the middle of the reaper war..... "well guys that was fun, now let's go hit chronos station!".... yeah i'm not buying that.

Why not? It's already established that ME3 takes place over several months. Plenty of time there for a little shore leave.

My Shepard didn't even want to sleep after Tuchanka.

But hey, hitting the Casino sounds like fun.

God, I actually feel sick to my stomach, like I did when I first found out about the endings.

I had high hopes for the DLC. Maybe I'll get it, but it'll be after I see a playthrough on youtube, first, that's for damn sure.

This "sinister conspiracy" sounds very interesting.

So here is my question on this DLC, when is this supposed to happen, technically? If this is supposed to be done before Cerberus mission, then it makes no sense. Then it brings up the question on why Shepard would be going to a casino and other things while a war is going on. It would seem a bit out of place. it would also take away from the urgency of the game. If it's after the events of Priority: Earth, then I guess it would be okay. But then there is the fact of what the devs have said about the endings, that they aren't going to change it. SO it goes back to my original question of when this DLC is supposed to be happening.

I admit, I groaned at another $15 price tag.  But if it really is a 4 gig download, that's creeping up on expansion-size, so maybe that's not so bad.

I'd actually be pretty excited abut this DLC is I didn't know it will all end in tears regardless, so I'll probably just youtube it for now.

[R&R / pointless sidequests / leveling obscure minor skills] while the [kingdom/planet/galaxy] burns is just an aspect of RPGs in general. It's always a little strange but it's better than a totally linear storyline with no room for exploration. ME1 and ME2 had it too, far more so than ME3.

My Shep has the same scar in my playthrough, nothing new under the sun there.

Wait wait wait.
ME1/2 cast back, character driven story, no reapers or cerberus, visitable areas after the dlc is over.
I am excited.

If there's one thing I found relatively annoying about ME3 is that the absence of exploration and hubs was justified with 'there's no time for such things since it's galactic war. In this regard, this DLC sure looks promising. Cautiously interested.

in this regard, this dlc looks stupid .. thats all.

is the war on hold?

all wars have downtime.  And did Saren just sit around while we rode around looking for minerals and matriarch scribbles?

could just be me being too optomistic, but this would just seems really out of place at just about any point in the game.

wrex: hey shepard thanks for curing the genophage. sorry i can't come with you on your mission; i need to lead the clans and fight the reapers........   but if you wanna take a break and throw a party on the citadel hit me up......

Hmm not bad.

If all the squadmembers of ME1/2 and 3 play a part in this the production values alone would justify the DLC's pricetag. Ofcourse it remains too be seen how big a part each character will play.

Story seems interesting aswell if it's more aimed at Shepard personally. Albeit this entire DLC looks too make very little sense in the grand scope of ME3's story. But then again so did Omega.

Curious too see when a trailer will hit.

This. I'm surprised so many people here could be unaware that the scars increase over time, they don't just appear all in one shot as soon as you choose a Renegade option.

Because not sleeping would make the Crucible get finished faster?

You can probably just do the mission content (a conspiracy against Shepard sounds important enough to look into even mid-war) and skip the R&R if you feel like it's something your Shepard wouldn't do.

No, but finding more war assets might. Point being, it's hard to think of Shepard taking time to furnish a ****ing apartment when the galaxy goes up in smoke.

It's just really jarring to go from:

"I'll sleep when I'm dead"

to

"Hey, Wrex, do these curtains go with this couch?"
