I will watch it on you tube, not bothered playing ME anymore

Then why even watch on youtube? Seems like a waste of time.

So's complaining about things that will never change :P

@TsaiMeLemoni : Because I have false hope that they will get their act together and I can skip through the boring parts, Mass Effect 1 was a very good game, yes it wasn't as polished as ME3, but it had this gritty mysterious feel to it instead of the emo crap they gave us with ME3 ( not even talking about the space magic ending), because of ME1 I still have an attachment to the series/universe and because of that I am willing to invest some 10 minutes to watch it on youtube.

@nrobbiec: LOL

Yeah they've been out for a day or two now....just about all of them have been torn apart but not much was figured out. At 4GB it's quite large and seems to have a lot of content from a story to romances, an apartment to decorate and the simulator thing(although they should have stayed fifty trillion miles away from reminding people of Pinnacle Station). On top of that it appears that it will bring new weapons and weapon mods as well. We'll see just how well it all turns out but in theory it should be really good....apart from the fact it does nothing to address or help solve the real problem.

We don't know yet, but I wouldn't get my hopes up. It'll likely be just the ME3 squad plus Wrex.

Well that sucks Krogan balls. I was sure Miranda would make it since she was in the announcment poster for the DLC. Guess me2 squadmembers got half-arssed again.

I chose Mordin over Wrex, I'd love it if Mordin gets to be as prominent as Wrex seems to be. I really don't want Wreav to replace Wrex as a potential squadmate.

So a couple things come to mind. I'd read the 70 pages to see if it has been posed but, you know:

What if Wrex is dead?

...What if Mordin is alive?

This interests me.

I don't think Mordin would be included, didn't he fake his own death? He probably won't want to show his face as Shepard's squad mates would think he was dead as well as the Mass Effect 2 ones in reports, I think Grunt would be at least a bit annoyed.

Also I doubt he likes Shepard all that much now, his tone on his Earth goodbye sounds pretty cold compared to how he normally is to Shepard and he didn't want to sabotage the genophage. Also the Extended Cut slide shows him going against what Shepard wants and trying to find another way.

Edit: If Wrex is dead I bet that you will just have to choose from your Mass Effect 3 squad mates or the other ME2 squad mates if you can use them at all in this DLC. I don't think Wreav will be included and if all of the Mass Effect squad mates are mostly dead, you will just have to choose out of Liara/James/EDI and Javik if you have the DLC, like normally if Tali and Garrus and the Virmire survivor are dead.

I just hope the Love Interest has a scene at the apartment, hopefully about maybe arguing over decorations or something.

:D

Does anyone have the ME art book? There's a picture in there; an assassin breaking through Shepard's roof/window on the Normandy. There's a quote in there about how they had wished they could've gotten it into the game.

If I recall correctly, that was a concept of a 'renegade' Shepard by Matt Rhodes. Before any details about ME3 were known, he mocked up some ideas for a Shepard tied neither to the Alliance nor Cerberus. The picture is actually Shepard stealing the Normandy back.

Neat idea though!

Correctomundo! Here's the post from Matt Rhodes own blog: Mass Effect 3 concept art:

This was part of a series of images I painted showing Sheppard taking back the Normandy from Cerberus. He has blown open the window on his old captain's quarters.

that's odd. The art book literally says it's an assassin.

Maybe Shepard steals it back when the Council drydocks it. That would involve a conspiracy.

This DLC will add new squadmates after completing the DLC? Wrex for example.

Unfortunately not. Due to the way the squad interactions and such are coded, BioWare don't have the ability to add any more squadmates outside of DLC adventures, apparently.

It appears at least Wrex will get a role like that of Aria or Nyreen in the Omega DLC. We're not sure about other past squadmates...yet.

Of course they can. But it takes hard work and can not be sent in a DLC.
Must be submitted in the update and the Expansion Packs (to big for DLC could be wrong)
But they can do it if they want.

ME2 did that all right. Serious code degradation here.

Yeah, I'm not saying I 100% understand the reasoning, but that's the official line. It's why Javik's flags already had to be in the game before shipping, apparently.

I don't know how more in-depth some of the interactions are in-game. I guess there are more instances of squadmates responding to other squadmates? So, for every new addition they'd need to record and program new lines for all the other squadmates for nearly every mission. Whereas in ME2, there were those standalone prompts where different squadmates had their own line.

Shame, either way, really.

Zaeed and Kasumi were planned to be integrated into ME2 before it shipped. "Artifacts" of Kasumi's existence could be found in ME2's original data files, long before Stolen Memory was released.
