Wait, Shep gets an apartment? Ok.....
Mimi games and the chance to have Jack even as a temp sound good to me. Also more LI content, yay! So far I am pretty happy with this.
I hope all those "do you listen to feedback?" people are somewhat pleased.

What are they possibly doing that could "silence the critics"?
They haven't responded to any of the critical, glaring issues with their game. They're throwing irrelevant "content" at you hoping that it blinds you to the fact that the ending - the game - is still broken and will never be fixed.
If you pay them, you're betraying yourself and any hope for a quality product from Bioware in the future.

The ending is still broken, so people are still complaining.

It's been one hell of a ride. Fox News, ending controversies, great moments, mistakes along the road, explosions, storytelling at its finest, but also some weird things here and there...
Thanks for the trilogy BioWare! Looking forward to this final DLC.
If Mass Effect 3 is storytelling at its finest, I'd hate to imagine some of the poorer stories you've encountered.

Obviously you didn't read the pre-release statements. It specifically states previous choices affect how the game as a whole plays out. Not the ending. The ending you get is based on your EMS, which fluctuates based on choices. I'd say they lived up to that promise. Just, people were expecting their choices to manifest themselves in the final minutes and have a different ending for each individual choice. If anyone who paid attention during the game, previous choices affected the game as a whole.
Probably set your hopes too high.
I honestly don't get the whole "choices don't matter" argument. The ending may be similar, but the game as a whole can play out very differently, so it's not the same exact story.
Despite what the EA advertisements tried to tell you, it's not the journey that matters. Not entirely. Saying the ending doesn't matter is no different than discounting the entire journey it took to get there.
It's really fantastic that you had fun getting here, but others expected a degree of professionalism and sensibility when the end of the road came 'round. They got no such thing.

The ending is still the same, so I have lost all interest in this DLC.
I for one will buy because Robin Sachs, the hard work BioWare put into this DLC, and because it's Mass Effect.
Seriously, some of you really can't learn to move on from an ending. Fairweather fans.
Fairweather implies that fans leave when things get sour. It's exactly the opposite. The people who are still "complaining" (read: have an opinion different than yours) are still here, and still all across the internet and are still dissatisfied because they aren't fairweather fans. They're the most dedicated, loyal fans you could've asked for - and Bioware betrayed them by providing an inferior product and then not even having the decency to admit they may have made a mistake.
Instead, we get treated like garbage - like ungrateful ****s and get to sit and watch the developer that we loved call us entitled for wanting something better than rainbow space magic and a glowing kid dictating the fate of the galaxy.
Being a fan doesn't mean you have to blindly accept everything a developer gives you.

It has nothing to do with EA ads, at least not for me. I'm not saying the ending doesn't matter, of course it does. But not enough to ruin the rest of awesome trilogy. Plus, I kinda grew to like the endings after EC (and Leviathan).0 1 wrote...

I'm glad for you, then. Disappointed, since that's exactly what Bioware wanted, was to distract people from the irreparable faults in the ending plot, but glad that you're able to find some comfort in it all the same.

That's a nice birthday present. But the "3 days before my birthday" is also one of the last things a kobold would say in Sacred 2 as you killed it. LOL

At this point there is nothing that can be done with the endings.
11 month after release and I still haven't seen/read any alternative version of the ending which will take into account plot until Priority: Earth and "I want my choices to matter".
IT is good only as a plot point, no the ending. "Shepard is alive" is an upgrade to the existing ending.
For the final DLC ME team took one of the most cherished aspects of the game and expended on it - character interaction. I'm not sure to what extent it will be good but still I'm looking forward to it.

I can't believe people actually still like and play this game. It has so many glaring faults, not to mention enough sexism to make me vomit. And I won't even touch the ending; it's so obviously slapped together half-assed, even with the EC. I haven't given BioWare any of my hard-earned cash in a year now, and I won't be starting again now. To all those that actually still enjoy this game, I suppose ignorance really is bliss.
f**k you, you Goddamn ingrate. Bioware put time and effort into this game and all people like you do is spit in Bioware's face and say "gimme more" so they do, but when they do, you say "this sucks, do it again".
"Oh, boo hoo, the ending's not exactly the way i want it, im just gonna go and cry about it on BSN instead of do something actually productive with my life." they're not gonna "fix" something that isn't even broken.
I'm not saying they're perfect; hell, at one time, I was like one of you: a whiny, b****-a** punk who kept whining about the damn ending. But one of my best friends made me see the light, and showed me that it's the journey that matters not the destination. So quit you're b**thing, because many of us are f**king tired of hearing it.
And if you don't life the game, then why are you complaining about it on the blog for it?

I also want to note that you say you have not/will not start giving Bioware your hard-earned money. Ok, I can respect that. But, why a year later, do you continue to grace their social network with your presence?
