I'm at a loss for words. Basically...it's almost kind of sounds like romance DLC, one of the few things that would make me play ME3 again.

Let it go out with a bang by creating a true expansion that takes place after ME3 ending! (Warcraft 3 is a good example).

Sweet! I can play slots and lounge around while the galaxy is at war. Sorry Anderson, I got a quarters to decorate! Can you hold tight just a little longer on earth while I relax and rekindle some old flames. A little casino action and then maybe I'll remember what Joker said about a "big ass Reaper invasion".

At least I can have some more closure to old friends before the ME3 universe becomes unrecognizable and completely foreign and forgotten.

Amazing how a single crap ending to such an amazing series can ruin an entire experience. If this new DLC fails to address the core issue that your ending is broken, which I don't see happening, I'm sorry to say faith in you and your future endeavors will never be restored by me. I have not purchased any of your ME3 DLC, (Omega was total crap by the way, watched it on youtube) nor have I even touched the game since the Extended Cut was released. You get none of my money. Can't imagine wasting my time playing through this series again when nothing I do has any impact on the outcome and leaves me completely unfulfilled in my efforts.

You're a moron.

Call me what you want, it's my opinion and yours doesn't matter to me!!

now the name calling is just uncalled for. mwags85 is entitled to have an opinion, so are you, so am i. There's no need to be all degrading just because you do not agree. I don't necessarily agree but I'm not going to call names. That's truly pointless. <_<

Can we see Morinth in this DLC?

Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaassssssssssssseeeeeeeeee????????

She's my favorite Mass Effect character and she really needs a decent appearance in ME3, please don't forget her! She was my SQUADMATE in ME2 and personally helped me take over the collector base in addition to numerous other important missions, is my favorite character, and get's such a sad appearance in ME3! Please include her with all of the other awesome characters in this DLC!!! PLEAAAASSSSE!!!!!!!?

I won't get the same closure as Jack, Wrex, Miranda, Samara, etc. fans if Morinth isn't in this DLC :(

Obviously you didn't read the pre-release statements. It specifically states previous choices affect how the game as a whole plays out. Not the ending. The ending you get is based on your EMS, which fluctuates based on choices. I'd say they lived up to that promise. Just, people were expecting their choices to manifest themselves in the final minutes and have a different ending for each individual choice. If anyone who paid attention during the game, previous choices affected the game as a whole.

Probably set your hopes too high.

I honestly don't get the whole "choices don't matter" argument. The ending may be similar, but the game as a whole can play out very differently, so it's not the same exact story.

The problem isn't that Shepard died, but the circumstances of her death; She was ordered to commit suicide by the commander of the very forces they were trying to destroy. Considering Bioware promised us an epic ending, I would like to know how I was setting my hopes too high.

Besides, this DLC just allows you to meet up with old squad members on the Citadel? Is it really worth $15?

He's a moron. Wow. Really? He gives us his opinion (one I agree 100% by the way) and all you can say is, "You're a moron"? Name calling only tells me that you have no legitimate argument to counter the fact the ME3's ending is the most bizarre, unethical, ameteur writing we've ever experienced in a big blockbuster game such as this one. My ME3 ending is still officailly unfinished. My Shepard is having a starring contest with the illogical A.I. brat. What is weird is that the Shepard I know should have had a "response" for this ill-conceived character but he doesn't... so I'm still on the Citadel waving my gun around. BioWare has lost it's way I think. They tried to be clever, screwed it up, and then refuse to apologize for all the broken promises they made months before. They slapped together the EC and pretended they were heros for it. Their DLC's only reflect that of a game company trying to capitalize on the Mass Effect name rather than have a dialogue with betrayed fans. that's their choice. So my choice is to complain and hold my wallet.

Now, rather than name calling, how about you share your point of view and try to defend it with some thought and intelligence.

The ending is still the same, so I have lost all interest in this DLC.

Good for you.

I for one will buy because Robin Sachs, the hard work BioWare put into this DLC, and because it's Mass Effect.

Seriously, some of you really can't learn to move on from an ending. Fairweather fans.

Fairweather implies that fans leave when things get sour. It's exactly the opposite. The people who are still "complaining" (read: have an opinion different than yours) are still here, and still all across the internet and are still dissatisfied because they aren't fairweather fans. They're the most dedicated, loyal fans you could've asked for - and Bioware betrayed them by providing an inferior product and then not even having the decency to admit they may have made a mistake.

Instead, we get treated like garbage - like ungrateful ****s and get to sit and watch the developer that we loved call us entitled for wanting something better than rainbow space magic and a glowing kid dictating the fate of the galaxy.

Being a fan doesn't mean you have to blindly accept everything a developer gives you.

I've been following Bioware since Baldur's Gate released in 1998.  I have bought every RP product they have developed since.  And I, personally, loved the Extended Cut ending of ME3.  So I am a decicated fan who liked the ending.  Does that make me an abomination?

No it doesn't make you an abomination, just to easily satisfied.  If you truely loved what Bioware provided than that's your opinion.  I guess my expectations were much higher for this amazing storyline I loved for so long.  Fairweather fan I am not.  I've played many Bioware games and each was great in their own way, until the ME3 ending. Even ME3 as a whole, had it's holes and things that didn't quite make sense but I just brused it off at first.  Looking back I started to see the whole game started to unravel to complete nonsense and in the end I felt (and still feel) betrayed by Bioware. I needed more than space magic and a glowing start brat that dictated the fate of the galaxy.  Yes copying the statement from above, but it's true.  I needed more and they failed to deliver.  I'm still here on this site stating my opinion however, because deep down I still care about this series even though I can't bring myself to put the disc back into the tray.  I no longer wish to invest the time for an outcome that leaves me feeling unfulfilled and unaccomplished, again my opinion.  I have standards and principles and when a company I trusted so heavily fails to deliver at a crucial moment that leaves me feeling dissatisfied its like a stab in the back and then when they treat us like garbage and say its our fault we don't like what they came out with I say it's time to part ways, no matter what other DLC they come out with.  It was hard at first but I've moved on, and thankful for it.  Maybe the crap ending was what I needed to dislodge myself from this trap fantasy world.  Those of you that will continue to throw your money at Bioware are sucked into something that has nothing to do with real life.  It's just a game yet you all continue to fantazie orgazmically about fictional character relationships (Liara T'Soni mostly).  Yes Bioware did an amazing job creating their characters and making it all work, but I recommend you all find your life again ouside this.

Thanks for the backup JamminJamin.  I'm here to state my opinions, this is a fan page for that after all right?  So I will state my opinion, good or bad.  If you don't like my opinions and simply call me a "moron" for it, that tells me quite a lot about your character quality.  Closed minded, opinionated, insulting, unintelligent, childish... I could go on.

Actually you're right it was uncalled for. I was just too lazy to try and argue my point of view, it was late, I was tired and the only thing I could come up with was a blanket remark.

The endings weren't bad, people just didn't get it. Quite frankily it seems to me like the developers were trying to be creative in an existential way which is completely unecessary in my opinion, less is more in all honesty, but in no way did the ending ruin the entire series as a whole and to argue that it did is ridiculous, hyperbolic and kind of moronic when you think about it. I guess thats why I called him a moron.

would a "suicide" type priority earth mission have sated you? but still with everything after the beam?

endings dont really bother me, its from the fleet jumping in to the beam that bothers me, for me thats the let down, but i still loved the series.

In all honesty i cannot see them doing what they have done with all the MP weekends to just throw this last DLC out an for it to at the very least not impact priority earth, i believe the culmination of the MP weekends points to it an the intergration of it to the SP campaign will be nicely done if that is what this dlc brings which i believe it will.

All it takes for them 3 endings to be better received is one huge epic priority earth, that for me is what lets me3 down not the endings but the fight before them.

if im wrong it wont be the first or last time, but i had a hell of a ride anyhow

Apology accepted, no worries.  And the fact that I can't bring myself to put the disk back in the tray and play it again pretty much sums it up for me that the passion is gone.  Sad really, I did enjoy it so much.  As for the endings, I think I understood them for the most part but it was all so sudden, very poorly laid out, and full of holes left for lots of speculation (Indocrination Theory for example).  When I come to an ending, I expect things to be wrapped up and have all quesitons answered, not be left confused with even more questions unanswered.  Bioware fixed some holes, but for me the ending itself remains broken and no DLC can ever make up for what Bioware pulled.

I think a "suicide" Priority Earth Mission would have been great.  After all, we're charging at the Reapers!!  What else could it be, it's all or nothing.  I'm still confused though, why Earth of all places?  The Reapers were everywhere in the Galaxy.  Hints of nonsense scenes and holes were all throughout Mass Effect 3 and it all just unraveled at the end.  There might have just been too much to pack in that a lot fell out and was missed or overlooked.  Deadline crunch, who knows?  It's an imcomplete, poorly executed, and unsatisfying conclusion (do I need to say "my opinion" again?).

no need to state your opinion again m8 i understand it tbh, lol it the first game ive played where i literally shouted "wtf" at the screen while scratching my head going "hell just happened" think that was on thessia, before that i done the wrong dialogue choices on rannock which made tali do a last of the mohicans of the cliff, think i broke the computer on that one an went to bed in a huff hahaha

I'm easy though tbh i can still play through games an enjoy them holes an all but i get yer disapointment an frustration.

Bioware made it clear that after the EC there will be no more work on the endings, that said you have to play the DLC before cronos station so the answer is no.

My device won't let me see the end of the long chain of comments you were in before, so I have to reply here. you said you haven't given any money to bioware since seeing the ending of ME3, I'm assuming that means you haven't gotten Leviathan, correct? That DLC does make the "star child" actually make sense, imo. I will be the first to say, Priority: Earth (the mission itself) should have been different and actually show all the races you got to join your cause, but the ending including where that "star child" came from actually makes sense if you get Leviathan.

as for this comment you made in particular: i'm assuming why it was Earth was because Earth was the homeworld for humanity, and obviously (thanks to humanity's pivotal role in Sovereign's demise) the reapers seemed to be particularly interested in humans (the reason they had the collectors target humans in ME2)

Yes, but after EC they do ''changed'' it a bit with Leviathan DLC...

But I know, there will be no more ending related stuff for ME3, besides MEHEM :P

Yeah I wouldn't call the four or five extra lines from the Leviathan DLC a "change" and those lines were already in the EC.
