Get ready Bioware. I'm coming for you and your EA overlords. You lied and said you'd listen to your fans, and we believed you.Now we have a steaming pile of crap for it. So be ready for the consequences.

Are you 12 years old?  You realize this game is rated mature.  You need parental guidance to purchase and play.

burn.
P.S. before you say anything, I'm sixteen. And I'm not this WHINEY b**th who you quoted

I honestly cant see the excitment , it still doesnt change how bad the story ends , dont get me wrong im happy for the ppl who want this but i havent bought a single ME 3 dlc and this wont change my mind.

I am curious...if you are done with the game and DLC, why do you post on the forums about it stating that you are done?  Not a snipe at all...just curious.  Seems like masochism.

I posted because i can, all those little squares below my avatar give me the right to, hell im even a swtor subscriver, thats masochism, not posting here, i had hopes for a decent closing DLC so i came here just checking for info, thats it.

Quick question. Sorry if it's already been answered. But does anyone know what size the Citadel dlc will be?

No official word on size. Only hint we got is that for the Xbox only the dlc will be a two part download, but that's it.

Almost 4GB to be more exact

Remember how big their "we fixed the ending" DLC was and there wasn't much in it at all because they FUBAR'd the format? This could be 3.9 gigs for furniture for Shep's apartment you have to get out of random boxes in the arena. OTOH it could be 4GB of total awesome. They've done some great things in the past and they may be able to bring the magic one last time.

"Doesn't change the ending" = doesn't let you kill harbinger (FOR ****S SAKE WHY!), logically can't include info about the BoL (as they should end up as a Catalyst dialogue option like Leviathan did) despite BoL being Bioware staff referenced in relation to the Catalyst. Doesn't replace that stupid ****ing Priority Earth mission.

Won't be buying it. Will just buy the soundtrack for Hulick-ey goodness.

It still feels hollow and pointless.

f you've already completed the game, you know no matter what you do, you're still going to reach a point which tells you everything you learned in the last 2.9 games was completely wrong and how you went about gathering forces to save the galaxy is inconsequential. Only the size of your war number matters and there's no point at which improving it will make any difference.

Hooray, I team up with Wrex. I learn about his contacts in C-Sec and how he operated as a bounty hunter from before we met. Members of C-Sec have been indoctinated and we have to stop them from an act of sabotage? Oh noes! Wait, in a few hours of gameplay later none of this will make any difference and maybe in Mass Effect 4 everything we learn will be contradicted, I guess we can make our number bigger though.

Even the most characterful and interesting conspiracy story with our favorite team members goes up against the unfortunate knowledge that everything you do in Mass Effect is now futile. The narrative dissonance also means anything you learn or try to extrapolate from what you experience in game is pointless, since we already know everything you learn can and will be retconned or forgotten to fit whatever hamfisted plot twist the writer requires.

Maybe they can fix this all when someone remakes the Mass Effect series 20 years from now.

So they kept adding new content into the game.. Yet it doesn't actually "add" anything to it. You'd like to think that with all these extra hands that the ending of the game would be altered - Or a new ending would be revealed. However nothing. Why the hell would you keep on adding things like that if it's not supposed to add anything to the equation?

As sad as this picture might be, it's the closest thing to the truth we'll ever see:

The thing is that they said after the EC was released that there will be no more ending content.

you argument dosen't make any sense, when as DLC ever changed the ending to any game out side of fall out.

Should i not buy and OF the assasins creed dlc cause desmond still die?

People Buy DLC addons To play more of the game, not to get things changed.

That DLC picture is assinine. It makes no sense.  DLC is simply a business model where you get additional content for a price. Why are you guys acting like it is the end of the world?

This

Most DLCs have nothing to do with the endings. Heck I only know of 2 Real Post Ending DLCs

It's gonna be sad to see such a wonderful story come to an end. But I do not doubt that you will creat another greatly loved and engaging chapter in the Mass Effect Universe in the years to come.

The new multi player DLC is wonderful and all the bug fixes are much appreciated. Thank you!

Exactly. It's not like your missing the main story of the game by not buying DLC, like some make it sound. None of the DLC is like a missing piece to a puzzle.  None of it is required to see the story play out. It's just additional content for people who want more.

Come on if Bioware did make a DLC changing the ending, and charge for it (because OMG....devs have to make money too) then they'd get ****ed out for charging for it. It's a no win.

If any of you guys never experienced a true expansion as it should be done, you're obviously from the generation that started playing around 2005. An expansion is an expansion of the actual story. What Bioware did to Mass Effect 3 did not expand the actual story. They put in a few extra numbers, made it look shiny and presented it as if it was spanking new.

We all knew Aria wanted to take back Omega. There were tons of threads on here that stated we'd be getting Omega DLC. Why? Because this content was supposed to be in the game at release. Not because it's an expansion of any sorts. The Extended Cut? Shoulda been in the actual game; besides didn't start production until AFTER complaints.

Leviathan I'll take with a grain of salt. The only thing it "added" to the game was a massive wtf, an ME2 skill that makes little sense and left more questions than it answered. Not to mention.. What the hell happened to those creatures? What did they do during the actual fight? Lame half arsed content with a few random numbers, something previously unseen and they slapped the DLC label on it.

And that Citadel thing? Let's be honest here. They added more companions in ME2. They allowed you to romance them and such. Turns out ME3 needed to get finished faster than expected, lower budget than imagined.. Let's cut out some of the actual content, ditch the actual story and release it later so we can get more money off it.

What Bioware is doing with this is filling up the gaps they refused to fill before, instead of expanding on their world.

Extended cut should have been in the game...well I can agree with that but you know...it was free. :?

I just don't get it. Don't buy it if you don't want it, it's totally NOT required for the story or anything. And yes, developers have many plans that wind up getting cut because of timelines, budget, etc. How is that their fault? So they make sure the game flows well without it, and then work on it to release as a DLC. I guess you'd rather they...take these things and throw them out? Or do you expect the team to come to work and fix it up for free release and not get paid? I get the feeling people see game companies as like some kind of non-profit org. for fans or something. They are a business and have to make money.

For the record, I've been gaming since about 1990....also there is a different between DLC and an expansion.

All I have to say is that Reckoning seemed like a step back from all the other MP DLCs that have been released. An Avenger that has non-thermal ammo? Recycling voices for the Cabal Vanguard? It feels more like a "throwaway" DLC than "going out with a bang".

What are you talking about?  The Mass Effect series never had an expansion.  The last Bioware game that did was DAO with Awakening.  DLC isn't even marketed as an expansion.  It has always been extra missions...usually not really related to the main plot.

Most expansions have been more than half the cost of the main games...I am talking Neverwinter Nights, etc.  All the Mass Effect DLC has been $10 (mostly), free or now $15 for a supposedly large one.  Why are we still beeotching about this stuff?  Gees....
