All I have to say is that Reckoning seemed like a step back from all the other MP DLCs that have been released. An Avenger that has non-thermal ammo? Recycling voices for the Cabal Vanguard? It feels more like a "throwaway" DLC than "going out with a bang".

All the Mass Effect DLC has been $10 (mostly), free or now $15 for a supposedly large one.

Omega was $15.

And many people on here have said that it wasn't worth the price tag it was given.

Well, Omega does have a low replay value, at least for me. BUT, I paid 15 dollars for approx. 3-4 hours of entertainment. The levels, powers and combat were fun, story was a bit lacking but overall, worth it imo. Definately not my favorite DLC, but still. I've paid 15 or more for new release movies for 2ish hours of entertainment, and they sit on my shelf for months afterward. So even if I only play Omega with 2 of my Shepards, I still got more use out of it than those movies.

And it's not like they didn't outright say it was a standalone story, and was more combat based. So basically it comes back to if you don't want it, don't buy it, it is not required. So yeah, still don't understand complaining about it.

I bought it and enjoyed it.  Although, like any piece of entertainment, it is all subjective.  I sat through a ton of crap movies for that price (more when adding the Mrs.) where I wish I had the 80 minutes back.

more Zaeed please RIP Mr Sachs

In a dev twitter post, they did say Robin Sachs recorded new lines for Citadel before his untimely passing. I'm excited just for that. I was praying for Zaeed to show up in the Omega DLC and was disappointed he wasn't in it. But this makes up for it!

If any of you guys never experienced a true expansion as it should be done, you're obviously from the generation that started playing around 2005. An expansion is an expansion of the actual story. What Bioware did to Mass Effect 3 did not expand the actual story. They put in a few extra numbers, made it look shiny and presented it as if it was spanking new.

We all knew Aria wanted to take back Omega. There were tons of threads on here that stated we'd be getting Omega DLC. Why? Because this content was supposed to be in the game at release. Not because it's an expansion of any sorts. The Extended Cut? Shoulda been in the actual game; besides didn't start production until AFTER complaints.

Leviathan I'll take with a grain of salt. The only thing it "added" to the game was a massive wtf, an ME2 skill that makes little sense and left more questions than it answered. Not to mention.. What the hell happened to those creatures? What did they do during the actual fight? Lame half arsed content with a few random numbers, something previously unseen and they slapped the DLC label on it.

And that Citadel thing? Let's be honest here. They added more companions in ME2. They allowed you to romance them and such. Turns out ME3 needed to get finished faster than expected, lower budget than imagined.. Let's cut out some of the actual content, ditch the actual story and release it later so we can get more money off it.

What Bioware is doing with this is filling up the gaps they refused to fill before, instead of expanding on their world.

What are you talking about?  The Mass Effect series never had an expansion.  The last Bioware game that did was DAO with Awakening.  DLC isn't even marketed as an expansion.

Exactly what I think!

I find it amusing how some people seem to think that game developers have unlimited time and resources, can use them to make perfect games, and are there to cater to every fan's desires. And if they can't do that then they aren't worth your time or money.

THIS. Why are people like you so rare around here?

Exactly. It's not like your missing the main story of the game by not buying DLC, like some make it sound. None of the DLC is like a missing piece to a puzzle.  None of it is required to see the story play out. It's just additional content for people who want more.
Come on if Bioware did make a DLC changing the ending, and charge for it (because OMG....devs have to make money too) then they'd get ****ed out for charging for it. It's a no win.

Hmm, I am quite sure that the citadel DLC will introduce the MP weapons to SP (the ones that are not there already), I am speaking of:

-) Lancer
-) Suppressor
and (hopefully)
-) The Collector weapons (Collector assault rifle, smg and sniper rifle)
and maybe, with a good buff, the Geth Spitfire

New weapon mods...
-)Sniper rifle high velocity barrel (I am pretty sure about that one)
I am REALLY HOPING FOR
-) Pistol and SMG power amplifier;)

About the DLC itself...
Shepard's private room will be in one of the apartment rooms on "Citadel commons" and I like the idea of it being possible of adding your own touch to it ;)

Then, an actual casino...
Looks like we will get a new source of infinite credits (well, the gamble in the pit fight in ME2 was also an infinite source of credits, but good luck waiting)
And a shooting simulation like back then at pinnacle station in ME1 yay
The shooting range we already have is kind of lame after all

All in all... The citadel DLC is WORTH THE MONEY

The Omega DLC wasn't bad at all, it was well made and epic, but wtf are the parts where the music is simply missing? Yes, at some parts you really EXPECT there to be dramatic, victorius, tragic... music, but all you get is the lame background sound and zero music :(
That made Nyreen's death kind of disappointing, just look at the scene where Grunt dies/barely survives when fighting some Rachni while Shepard runs for it- that scene had a great soundtrack

Yes, if BW asked us to pay for a DLC that COMPLETES the ending, then they are doing it wrong since that would be nothing short of fraud.

The story DLCs don't improve the ending, they simply add a lot of background information (and I am sure so will the Citadel DLC).
The "From the Ashes" DLC gives you a pretty short mission what is disappointing at first, but your new sqadmate is a very valuable comrade, has good sense of humor (king of trolling) and provides LOTS of infos about how the protheans actually were.

The "Leviathan" DLC is supposed to shed more light on the origin of the Reapers.

The "Omega DLC" adds the long- awaited battle for Omega and provides a LITTLE background information on Aria T'loak (though BW still keeps most about her being a mystery and it should stay like that)

The Alternate apperance pack1: Pretty much indicates that there will be another one for the rest of your teammates
Weapon packs: They add some new weapons and some weapons that used to be exclusive to MP

New weapon  mods are added with story DLCs...

Plus there is the stuff from the limited edition like the N7 weaponry and the defender armor...

My word on the N7 stuff:
Defender Armor: badass, wonderful choice for soldiers and weapon- centered Sentinels
N7 Valiant: badass sniper rifle
Crusader: holy s***
Eagle: nice one for caster classes
Hurricane: spray'n pray
Valkyre- NO:(
Many good SP weapons are almost useless in MP (just look at the ADAS), the Valkyre is pretty much useless on higher difficulties in SP, so that's the other way around^^

Totally agree. We got some new items and 6 characters but no new maps or even hazard versions of maps that still don’t have one. For a final multiplayer download instead of going out with a bang its more of a “meh”.

Kind of makes me wonder how the Citadel one will turn out. Will the main portion of the content be the apartment, casino and seeing your former squad mates or will it be the so called conspiracy storyline? Even still at $15 is not likely that I will buy it just based on the reviews of Omega I’ve read on these forums.

Free doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be a so-so undertaking, just bare bones content and with the seemingly common bugs BioWare seems to like to leave in their content.

Frankly I’m sick of the “Its Free” comments used as an excuse for when people bring up issues about these free downloads.

Don’t get me wrong, I like the new overpowered characters but without any new maps to use them on it just kind of feels a bit rushed, unfulfilling or something I just cant put my finger on.

Omega and Leviathian DLCs came out I purchased them but never played them. And didnt even bother replaying ME3.

I watched the youtube vids of the two expansions and wasnt impressed.

But due to the email i recieved about the coming LAST DLC for MassEffect3, last Monday and over the weekend I launched the game and began a new game (for miranda btw).

Ive read on the forum and around the net that some folks did not like Omega DLC. And I must say that the YouTube vids of Omega dlc play thrus and reviews absolutely SUCK the hannars nipples!

I enjoyed the Omega DLC and noticed many many small graphic changes in the game. All good btw. The game overall/appearance in textures looked amazing. ME3 looked good before on my xbox360 but this play thru the game just looked more refined. I donno if they changed anything I did however have to DL a new patch before launching the game.

I havent played thru Leviathan yet and am looking forward to it. Saving it for after I rescue Miranda and before the Chronos station.

I will purchase the the Citadel DLC. Im not expecting anything great but I am hoping that the screen time and dialog between Ashley, Tali, Miranda will be good stuff. I am also hoping that there is at least hopefully dialog with Thanes son and ..... most of all Gianna Parasini (sp?)

kinda also hoping for at least one more conversation with the Consort from ME1. But I donno I doubt Bioware would add her back even if it were just 3mins of text about the journey that she spoke about to my Shepard.

One thing I have to say ~ and I hope that somewhere one of the devs happens to read this. Multiplayer the new maps? and the weather effects in the maps? Whoa! DAM Awesome!!!!

I had Absolutely NO intention of going back into multiplayer but what made me do it was for the galaxy map stuff so that I can go into the Citadel DLC with a good score on the map.

The only multiplayer DLC i downloaded was the newest one the oh gosh I forget the name now LOL. but its the one with the new Collectors/Enemies. Well awesome Job with multiplayer.

I honestly had ZERO intention of going back to multiplayer but now am glad that I did. I dont understand all of the new graphic stuff in the lobby where it rotates your N7 level and the award symbol stuff also how do people get those wall papers behind their names? Anyway good job on multiplayer ~ I only wish that ALL of that stuff you added was at the begining of launch or at least 3months after release. Btw I spent some game points and purchased one of the packs and recieved 1 destroyer (the granade char) & 1 Adept VOLUS (biotic god LOL) that for me was an awesome roll.

Sad that its just now coming to an end. Looking forward to purchase the Citadel DLC ~ even tho from what ive been reading around the internet that it does not change the r/b/g spacemagic ending.

besides that ending..... Mass Effect is the absolute best single player rpg story driven game. Definately still the best one out there. The only other gaming company out there that can match you folks at Bioware is Bethesda. No one else out there has the same high level of creativity and awesomness like you guys do.

You guys realize you have the option to NOT download DLC, right?

I am, quite frankly, getting tired of BSN complainers. When people start moaning about free MP DLC, I just shake my head. The vanilla MP component was fun as is! Adding maps, weapons, enemies, etc. for free is great fan service. No sense bashing it.

Is the chakram launcher available in the MP?
