When you give the info for the Citadel DLC to the Origin dudes could you also PLEASE give them the missing date info for the Alternate Appearance Pack 1 because it's driving me crazy?

Who saw the trailer? I think I might download the Citadel dlc because it actually has that ME2 feel to it. And there is alot of content for it so it'll have to be worthwhile. They brought the whole team to work on this but I still feel as though this can't be the final dlc, I mean we didn't even get an epic boss fight with Harbinger. He just looked on, letting us send our teammates fly off in the SR2 lol.

Just saw the trailer and...yes, I'm buying my copy.

The bad news...is that the release date translates to tomorrow morning for all those who live at timezones east of London! Damn! And I just happened to have a day off today!

Oh but it is totally common for a company to shelve revenue generating dlc to free up time and asserts to produce something in an attempt to please their fans and not charge a dime for it? I mean that **** happens everyday. All the time. Oh wait no it doesn't. Even if they didn't succeed they tried. You think Pitchford and his kind and 90% of the others our there would have done anything remotely similar to what bware did? Not a chance. Gaming is becoming as corrupt as any other business. At least bware spent the time and energy to TRY to give us a fix.

Generally people aren't as invested as they were in ME3. I use the past tense because most find it kind of pathetic. Granted, on here you will find the people who liked it, but just as many here did not. I for one did not because they couldn't be consistant from one sentence to the next.
Now then, Generally DLCs are set after the game, capcom usually prduces endgame dlc, sometimes as actual endings, which is bollocks.
Bethesda did fix the fallout 3 ending cause it didn't make much sense. It did cost money, but at the same time it did more than simply fix the ending, it added a bunch of stuff to make it more like a dlc on its own which happened to address the problems with the ending.

Bioware's hand was forced in this case. When theres freaking news articles about how terrible the ending of a video game is and the protest that followed, you have two options, cut your losses and ignore the problem, potentially destroying your fanbase and earning basically nothing from any future dlc for the game and possible future titles(something EA would never allow). OR, do something about it, even to just be seen as trying to solve the problem rather than actually solving it, potentially salvaging at least some of your upset fans.

Now yes they tried, problem being they didn't try hard enough; with the original game or EC. But things like possibly the worst PR guy ever, doing things like banning people who say how bad things are and generally acting like some sort of dictatorship did not help.
They should have taken the time to produce a better ending(which is what i assumed the original delay was for) or work more on the EC. It did have the potential to be good, but in the end it causes more problems than it fixes. I'm not going to praise someone for kind of trying to fix a mistake they made, nor will i reward simple responsibility.
Thats stupid.

Playing on a PS3? Because I'm in Germany, playing on a Xbox 360, and it should be out pretty soon.

I can agree with some points you make like the pr guy. People are entitled to their own opinions. However most people who dislike things like the EC or certain things in the game fail to understand the most important reasons why bioware didn't give the ending that those players wanted.
Don't get me wrong, like most everyone else I would love for them to release a dlc even if I have to pay for it where its possible for Shepard to survive along with a bit more closure to some of the things they didn't touch on in the EC or in the game. This does not mean I did not fully enjoy playing the game to completion.

I look at it this away though. Bioware designed the game the way they thought it should be because it is Their game not ours. We pay money to play it yes but in a sense its just the same as if it were a book that you bought in the store. The author of the book writes it based on how he or she wants it to be. Its up to the reader to choose whether he/she likes the book, but it will not change the author's view if the people reading the book decide they don't like how it ends or what happens during the different chapters, the story is told through the talents and imagination of the writer not the reader. Asking bioware to change the ending would be like reading a book then going to the authors house and asking him to re-write his book with a happier ending because you didn't like it. If the reader wants something different then they should write their own book the way they want. Bioware releases great games and though I may not always agree with how one of them should end or some of the content that is in the game it does not change the experience that I get when I play one of them. Every mass effect game is full of great storytelling and gets you completely involved with the characters. The experience as a whole is what matters to me and If one person on this forum that has something to complain about can honestly say to themselves that this game completely sucks or what not, then they should probably not be playing it in the first place because they do not appreciate the time and effort that the authors spent to bring us this masterpiece of storytelling. And obviously they did not enjoy anything about the game at all otherwise the Ending wouldn't kill the whole game for them.
