Generally people aren't as invested as they were in ME3. I use the past tense because most find it kind of pathetic. Granted, on here you will find the people who liked it, but just as many here did not. I for one did not because they couldn't be consistant from one sentence to the next.Ghostknob wrote...
Oh but it is totally common for a company to shelve revenue generating dlc to free up time and asserts to produce something in an attempt to please their fans and not charge a dime for it? I mean that **** happens everyday. All the time. Oh wait no it doesn't. Even if they didn't succeed they tried. You think Pitchford and his kind and 90% of the others our there would have done anything remotely similar to what bware did? Not a chance. Gaming is becoming as corrupt as any other business. At least bware spent the time and energy to TRY to give us a fix.

Just saw the trailer and...yes, I'm buying my copy.
The bad news...is that the release date translates to tomorrow morning for all those who live at timezones east of London! Damn! And I just happened to have a day off today!

Now then, Generally DLCs are set after the game, capcom usually prduces endgame dlc, sometimes as actual endings, which is bollocks.
Bethesda did fix the fallout 3 ending cause it didn't make much sense. It did cost money, but at the same time it did more than simply fix the ending, it added a bunch of stuff to make it more like a dlc on its own which happened to address the problems with the ending.
Bioware's hand was forced in this case. When theres freaking news articles about how terrible the ending of a video game is and the protest that followed, you have two options, cut your losses and ignore the problem, potentially destroying your fanbase and earning basically nothing from any future dlc for the game and possible future titles(something EA would never allow). OR, do something about it, even to just be seen as trying to solve the problem rather than actually solving it, potentially salvaging at least some of your upset fans.
Now yes they tried, problem being they didn't try hard enough; with the original game or EC. But things like possibly the worst PR guy ever, doing things like banning people who say how bad things are and generally acting like some sort of dictatorship did not help.
They should have taken the time to produce a better ending(which is what i assumed the original delay was for) or work more on the EC. It did have the potential to be good, but in the end it causes more problems than it fixes. I'm not going to praise someone for kind of trying to fix a mistake they made, nor will i reward simple responsibility.
Thats stupid.
