Just pointing out, for all those griping a few days ago about why we had no info on the final DLC, this is why.

People already being negative, before the DLC has even been played by anyone. Criticizing the silliest things. How about wait and see how the IU plays in-game? You may like it and have fun!

Or, if no likey, then don't use. But show a little gratitude and appreciation for the devs who are trying to provide a fun experience, nearly a year after the game dropped, and long after most game companies would have ceased support and have moved on.

Fun! We are going to have fun!

Your arguements on them being better looking than the Rampart mechs are subjective.

Your arguement on their combat abilities are also subjective.

Are you seriously attempting to argue that if you put the EDI bot up against a rampart  one-on-one the rampart would win?

Yes because this is a fallacious course of arguing. the Cerberus infiltration unit is being controlled by an evolved, Reaper coded, AI. Obviously EDI would win.

My only complaint is that they gave her the ugly alt. appearance outfit. Wanted to rock the usb slot...sorry, cameltoe in MP.

Someone's sensitive..

Someone thinks that mass-producing a sexbot for combat is a ridiculous logic and is nothing but brainless fanservice.

Someone is too simple-minded to realize that, just because one unit has a certain look in the multiplayer, all units of the same kind don't NECESSARILY look exactly the same in the very same hypothetical construct that allegedly renders the addition of this infiltration unit "ridiculous."

Do all Krogan in the ME universe look like either the KroSent or the Kroguard? Do al Asari look like either the AA or the AJ? Do all Vorcha look the same? Do all Batarians look the same? Do all Salarians look the same and sound exactly alike? Answer each and every one of those questions for me, please.

And if the answer to any of them is in the negative, then answer the following question: why do you suppose all Infiltration units look the same, i.e., like the one in the multiplayer?

Why can't it be that the Alliance is deploying several Infiltration units, all with different looks, but the one that they gave us one standardized look in the multiplayer, the same way they gave us one standardized look for every other kit, without making the implication that all units ought to look the same?

Having established that the Alliance isn't "mass-producing sex robots" and that every one of these Alliance robots may very well have unique, distinct looks* and they won't necessarily be all sexy, your sole complaint would stem from the fact that it's a useless, ridiculous strategy to have spies infiltrate your enemy. Ha, tell that to every relevant nation on Earth during the Cold War.

What a failure of a pedant you are. I don't even think I care to come back to this thread and check if you've replied to this comment. I know your kind. I know that you'll endlessly make up excuses and continue b*tching and belittling anyone and everyone who doesn't agree with you.

*Precedent from the game tells us that these Infiltration units are produced for very specific purposes, for very specific tasks, so I assume that they would all, in fact, look VERY different from each other. Not that I care that much or that I don't realize this is all meaningless speculation on our part.

I wasn't aware looking like a female human = tactical cloak. Perhaps you should look up the various definitions of infiltration?

Dr. EVA Core was designed to infiltrate a civilian compund. Thus it was designed to blend in.

What is the name of of the character again? Alliance, Infiltration, Unit, or something like that?

And you're implying that the alliance can't reconfigure a model that has already proven to be superior (first with eva, then with edi), much superior than a rampart mech, considering eva killed one of shepard's crew all by herself.

Also, EVA bot is much better than rampart mech in almost every category, looks, defenses, offensive capabilties, etc. etc.

Dr. EVA Core is a proper infiltration unit... until it's flesh gets burned off. Now it's just a robot being controlled by an AI. That infiltration ability is not effective as it CLEARLY looks like a robot.

These Alliance Infiltration units look EXACTLY like a robot, completely and utterly destroying the whole purpose of infiltration.

Your arguements on them being better looking than the Rampart mechs are subjective.

so your saying that even in SP people are being stupid if they take her on missions?

in this fantasy universe there exist such a thing as tactical cloak.

btw by your same argument of looking like a robot, then the GI or enemy geth hunter should not exist.

so ya... seems like you are just trying to stir a pot.

Well if you want to put story behind the infiltration unit, Lets just assume EDI used information gained from the EVA Core unit and sent it to Alliance. It was originally cerberus and likely labeled and infiltration unit. The Alliance figured out how to reproduce it large numbers, but they're sending it to fight reapers soooooo there's no need for it to have fake skin. Maybe I'm thinking too hard though.

Also there's canon evidence of GETH-EFFECT that shows people, including security checkpoints, willfully ignore obvious AI units because they don't believe an actual AI unit would be walking around. Bring Legion around in ME2 and the only people that **** are the Quarians, IIRC. EDI can just walk around the Citadel and nobody says anything because she's a gimp's robo-assistant.

No, I'm not saying that at all. EDI is a special case

The matter I'm addressing is the Alliance creating a series of Infiltration units that do not look like humans... which is counter-inuitive to their function as infiltration unit. Which is what Dr. EVA is: an infiltration unit whose purpose is to blend in with organics.

that makes sense, but maybe in a total assuming way that they could have realized her combat strength's on the battlefield.

could say that she has been repurposed, since reapers wouldnt care what she looks like and reapers and such are out to exterminate the race's.

just throwing that out there, in a super assumptiuos not too serious way :innocent:

add:
also if she is being repurposed in the above theorizing, then it would be cost effective to not add the skin on top if she is being turned into a combat infiltration unit.

btw doesnt matter to me personally either way, i will still play the character if its fun, but just speculating and stuff can be fun too.
i am in no way a lore expert or anything like that either.

No, it's a copy/paste of EDI. They didn't even change the visor.

Poor form, BioWare.
Especially given that it appears you're going back to the "staggered" releases of Retaliation and any of the characters listed under "and more" are going to be put out piecemeal, so anything not actually announced from the get-go is going to take forever to be available.

All character models are rehashes of old one, or identical to old ones. The Armiger Turians use a modified version of Garrus's Archangel Armour, the Vanguard and Soldier Vanilla Humans use the Death Mask, the Fury is a redesign of Kasumi's armour, Justicar is a overhaul of Samara (for obvious reasons). Geth, Vorcha and Volus are forced to be identical to one another due to their species design, the old Krogans were based on Grunt and the new Krogans are based on the Krogan Berserkers from ME2. It's time and money efficient to base models off of, or even copy-pate models from pre-existing coding. How else would they be able to offer them for free? They certainly wouldn't be making enough revenue off of microtransaction to support unique design.
