I was a skeptic of ME Multiplayer from Day one, actually way before, but thanks for putting in the hard work. I'm still playing it every night.

Have a nice retirement. Thanks for all you did.

Thanks for a great MP experience. You should be proud.

(Also wondering how hilarious/unexpected would it be if Ninja Stan or someone locked this thread because it's spam/not MP related. Like anyone else's farewell)

Seriously though, best of luck DH. Happy gaming!

Good night, good night. Parting is such sweet sorrow. We have heard the chimes at midnight, Master Hollan.

(Yeah, I used two lines from two different plays, big whoop, wanna fight about it?)

Thanks for all the work Derek!

You and everyone attached to the ME3 multiplayer deserve some kind of a medal. I was skeptical of its inclusion, being one of those keeps SP games SP purists, but it won me over. And here I am, still playing it and having fun a year after release - which is unheard of even for the multiplayer centric games that I do enjoy.

It's simply a very outstanding product, and way way too much fun.

Thanks again. :-)

Derek, thank you for your hard work. I would have never imagined to play the multiplayer of Mass Effect for this long. I got really hooked to it. :wizard:

Anyway, have fun going through your backlog, and I wish you all the best :)

Thank you for handling this multi-player portion of the game as well as you did, for as long as you did. I really couldn't imagine anybody else doing it better, not even Mordin.

Sad to see you go, as those are some big shoes to fill for the ME reboot[which I was hoping to work with you on specifically, if I do end up getting accepted], but enjoy your semi-retirement nonetheless. You deserve it.

With the announcement of our final DLC installments, I figured now is as good a time as any to post this.
The past two years have been incredible for me as a fan of BioWare and as a contracted employee of the company. My final day here is the 28th of February, 2013. Alas, all good things…

My feelings are as expected. We have rolled out an incredibly fun multi-player and associated DLC over the past year. It is something I will carry with me with pride. I have had the honour and privilege to work with one of the most talented teams in the industry and have made a lot of friends here. This is a team that is very passionate about what they do and it shows.

Blood has been shed, sweat has beaded, and tears have filled the buckets. Someone has to clean that up. Coordinating the multi-player room here in Edmonton during development was a bit intimidating at first. We wanted it to be successful. No pressure. Then there was the Live Team to help coordinate weekend operations and assist with balance pushes. It has been a journey. A hard fought one.

I will be heading back into semi-retirement to catch up on the list of games I have been meaning to get to and re-connect with my family in proper fashion. I can’t say for certain what the future holds for me, but I will keep my eyes and ears open for opportunities to get back into the saddle, as it were.

Thanks to you, the fans, for making this a great experience. I wish you great gaming for years to come.

I should go.

Cheers
