I have played warcraft for about 5 years total but I cancelled my account today. I am simply devoted to bioware, don't feel right have another game on the side. Feel like I'm cheating.
Grass is greener here now so your stuck with me. I wont miss blizzard disgusting 1000 dungeons to get an item or 8 months for patch. I'm here
I did it

LOL. Same here. I haven't touched Warcraft since DA:O. Now I even started to replay Mass Effect in anticipation of ME2, rather than going back to WoW.

No way? I canceled my account also having been playing for a long time.. I had 7 level 80s.. o_O I didn`t cancel because of DA though it was just getting boring xD and the new x-pac didn`t seem that interesting to me =/
I think I might play Aion, but not sure... I`m kinda waiting for a free trial to come up to see what it`s like...
and I`m loving Dragon Age. I might get it on pc .. need to fix my computer first though it`s kinda full with crap.

Instead you get to wait 8 months for a short 1 hour DLC...Joshd21 wrote...

In all seriousness though, Blizzard games are superior when it comes to addictiveness and lasting power. However, BioWare is much better at producing a customizable storyline with great character development in their games. Whether or not they can provide a polished multiplayer experience with consistent updates remains to be seen with The Old Republic.

It has WOW game mechanics, with Guild Wars type graphics and story. In a nutshell.

Congratulations. Wow is a boring, tedious, grindfest that has too large of a nerd fanbase who still think they're funny when they say "LEEERROOOOYYYY JENNNKKIIINNSS!"

I never apperciated good graphics until I played Dragon age. I didn't even know the hype, I saw an add on gamestop about it. But far surpassed expections of this game and they treat fans like people and not numbers

@ EverlastingFantasy: don't attempt Aion... all more serious reviewers shot it down BEFORE it's release already...

I have to agree with Acael, tho I no longer play WoW, Blizzard are a superior company at game making than Bioware or pretty much any other PC game developer atm. There games have lasted through the test of time, and WoW even with a dated engine, is still strong.
Their customer support is also vastly superior to alot of game companies and their developers are alot more open and interactive with the community when it comes to discussing game mechanics. What other company has a whole convention and then does panels showing and explaining every process they go through making their games etc?
I know I will get alot of "OMG BLizzard R suZX" comments from the group of people who thinks its cool to hate on Blizzard after quitting WoW. Dont get me wrong - Bioware make great games but (@OP) saying you quit WoW cause are so "bad" and now support Bioware is rather a ludicrous statement. Why not give the credit where its due? To yourself for having the strength to quit - the hardest part now is to stay quit - I have been there, quitting games like WoW is not easy. (For me it was mainly cause of the people in my guild.)

I'll still be playing WoW till the old republic comes out, and hopefully that won't fail like the other MMO's.
I don't play WoW for the PVE, I just do arena.

I've been clean for 5 months now, and I owe a big part of that to Dragon Age. It really helps fight the urges to go back!

Alas ... I seem to be the opposite of many posting here.
I was (and still am) a diehard NWN fan that gave WOW a try ... that try lasted less than 2 months before I was back to NWN (not NWN2). WOW players seemed so focused on being retards with very little rping in comparision to many of the NWN PWs I had ventured forth on and I found myself needing to leave WOW. I did find WOW itself to be rather interesting game as are many other Bizzard products both old and new.
Honestly, however, I have been a Bioware supporter since Baldur's Gate and plan to continue being so.
