While I know there are a number of tlk file editors out there, what I need is a tool that will search the standard nwn tlk file for a particular word and let me know if it exists and its number for use in things like baseitems.2da. Does such a tool exist? Any help appreciated.

Thanks for that. Seems like I had the tool for the job all along. Just needed to expand the killer tlk editor to full screen & then expand the child window same. Otherwise the information I wanted was hidden.
