Without an Ending fix, i fear many will leave this series with a bad taste and very few will come back. (including poll; should bioware have done something about it?)

thats assuming 'citadel" does nothing to adress the ending, honestly i apprieciate the new content and it does look well crafted and considered, however with the ending as it is and the fanbase deeply divided the series is going to suffer, no way around that.

the simplest way for bioware to allieviate a huge portion of the Anti-enders grievences with the ending would be to add victory through refuse (followed by some scenes of your war assets and a epilogue showing shepard and Co's fate) far from a perfect solution but such a small change would pay dividends for bioware and its fanbase.

sorry to be a downer but thats where i stand.

thanks bioware for an amazing series, its a shame if it ends like this, if you want to leave it as it is i'm fine with that, but i doubt i could return and i believe the same would go for many of your long term fans.

sincerely Arbiter156 a concerned fan.

Poll: (do you think bioware should have done something?) here

It won't

They will never touch the endings.

We are forced to swallow this piece of **** that Mac/Casey call a resolution to the Mass Effect trilogy.

We'll see how many fans they lose when ME4 comes out. I doubt it will be as many as some predict.

It's been a year. Most have already moved on, whether they liked the ending or not.

I won't be buying the next game, whatever it is.

The endings aren't going to change. I think it's time we all accept that.

I hate them, but, fortunately, I don't have to ever play them again. I'm fine with stopping before Star Brat and making up my own.

As far as ME4 (or "Next" or whatever)... I'll decide whether to buy based on what I hear about the game, how they handle the endings, and so forth.

In the meantime, maybe it's for the best that I move on to something else. Mass Effect is a tough franchise to let go of, but maybe it's time for a little more space.

This new DLC is everything I want, but it would be so much more fitting if it was after the end and the dialogue followed suit.

The only future Bioware game i intend to buy is the new IP since i can go into that with no expectation since i know nothing about it and ME and DA can just go on my list of game franchises to completely ignore.

I won't be leaving because I'm getting what I wanted. More ME2 character content. It was the end of Shepard's story, he dies. What more do people want, a reunion? Well that's basically what this DLC is about, more time with the characters. A conventional victory isn't going to happen, as said many times within the game. It's the end of Shepard's story, he's dead, THE END.

I think there are some pretty interesting games in the pipeline. Wasteland 2 and the Cyberpunk game from CDProjekt.

Sadly, no RPGs in a "space sci-fi" type setting, though. Not much out there that fits those categories except Mass Effect.

Good. I want them to leave. I'm sick of all the crying and whining. Their the toxic people that are making Bioware employees dread coming to the forums and talking.

The sad thing is people say one thing and do another. I see this all the time with other games. "I won't ever play again!" Yet so many of them do. It will be the same with the next game.

are you talking about the ending itself? as in the ambiguity surrounding Shepard's status or the entire Earth mission as it is? the ambuguity doesn't bother me too much, but I'd have loved to see real action with my war assets. you know, to make me like I was actually accomplishing something when I ran around the galaxy collecting them.

well let's see how well dragon age 3 sells to confirm whether all these series boycott threats by bioware people have any foundation.

I could bet money if I could on me4 being a commerical success, people still want more of the ME universe

The ending is done and dusted, you cannot change an ending once its been released.

Im hoping this DLC will also have harbringer, maybe harbringer is involved in this assasination attempt!!

The thing is there's really no way to affect whether he lives or dies and it isn't even clear anyway.

People will come back, just like Star Wars. There is plenty of market left to keep the series going.

Every day someone says something like this and every day they are reminded that the line has been drawn on the endings. It was drawn about 8 months ago with the Extended Cut. Like it or not, that was the olive branch thrown out free of charge with all the cast and crew members brought back to try and put an end to the controversy. If you weren't satisfied with that, then you have to move on because the developers have made it abundantly clear that they are. Good on them for doing so as well.

Unless the endings get fixed, I won't buy the next Mass Effect game for sure. If they mess-up Dragon Age 3, then I am done with BioWare.

But does it matter if it's the end of his story? There will be no more Shepard.

I'm not big on the whole sci-fi thing anyway since the only reason i got into ME was because it was a Bioware game and i loved KOTOR.

Maybe this DLC will be that story the stargazer mentioned. Anything can happen in speculative fiction.

Moses, high ems destroy (my personal choice) lives. That dead horse has been beaten quite a few times.
