You know what else is silly? Family Guy. Oooh, oooh! The Simpsons, too.

Also, I just had wAAAaaaAAAaaaAAAaaay too much ice-cream. I'm crazy, crazy as a cOcOnUt!

Also, this is an internet forum. Silliness is to be expected.

Someone needs to read the FAQ

When should I hit the "report inappropriate content" button?

In general, reporting content to EA (which is what that button does) should be a last resort - for most things, it is generally a better first step to let one of the BioWare employees or community moderators know about it first. EA will potentially bring in lawyers or local police, at which point you may regret the escalation.

The following are always valid reasons for official customer service investigation:

  • child solicitation
  • terrorist threats
  • game client hacks (someone using a hacked version of a game to upload inappropriate content)
  • extreme harassment (i.e. "needs a restraining order")
  • hate speech (racism, death threats against a group, etc)

The following are sometimes valid reasons to report content to EA, depending on severity/circumstances:

  • violent/vulgar content or language
  • plagiarism
  • spamming via email or PM
  • offensive display names

Why are we bringing this up?  Since you're so keen on reading the thread, maybe you should have gone on to the next page.  I thought she'd called me an idiot.  It was a misunderstanding, and taken care of.  I apologized, and I'm not of the opinion that there were any hard feelings.

Neither I nor anyone else would have to put up with that were it the case.  It wasn't, so there's no big deal.  And no reason for you to be rude.

Another fangirl here, I'm afraid. A bit embarrassing-- I mean, he's just a videogame character, but I found myself biting my lip and doing the whole "does he REALLY like me?" thing. And the rose bit was just an "awwwww..." moment. Just testimony to the immersion level of DA.

I don't think he's that wimpy-- he charges into combat with Darkspawn, after all. But for all his jocularity, he can show a bit of iron from time to time. He's just one of those fellows who doesn't have to tell you every five minutes how brave and tough he is. Works for me.

Alistair, the guy with a short lifespan who gonna have a zombie like face in few years because of the taint.
Alistair can't cook, but as a Grey Warden, he eats a lot.... That means you gonna be his cooking slave too Image IPB

I think Teagan might be a better choice.

Yeah, he admits he can't cook early on (when Morrigan joins). Maybe we'll just order takeout.

But you have a point, Teagan does have a certain elegant je ne sais quoi to him. And money. He just seems a little boring, is all.

And I'm sorry Zev, but no. Just no.

I brought it up because you obviously don't know what the 'report a post' button is for or how to report behaviour you dislike. There's a list of activities you can report that way, and they're not 'this person said something mean to me.'

If you have a problem with another poster or you need immedate action on a thread, you should contact a moderator. They're all very nice and friendly folks.

Since you're so keen on reading the thread, maybe you should have gone on to the next page.  I thought she'd called me an idiot.  It was a misunderstanding, and taken care of.  I apologized, and I'm not of the opinion that there were any hard feelings.

Hard feelings don't matter. When you hit the red button, your message goes to someone in EA customer service. The fact that you made up on the next page is meaningless to them as they only get the post you report.

And no reason for you to be rude.

I'm not being rude. I assume you want a BioWare rep to step in and deal with trolling/flaming; EACS will just dump your reported post in the trash.

I think the point here is that I didn't send it. And since apparently you were trying to be helpful, wouldn't a private message filling me in on the do's and don'ts be better than posting everything in the middle of a public forum?

Don't be patronizing. Some people are smart enough to see through it. I realized that I shouldn't be trigger happy and was glad of the fact. Can we be done now? People would like to fangirl.

PS: You posted a spoiler in the "No Spoilers" section of the board, earlier. Maybe you need to read the FAQ.

When I saw the link on my BSN home page, it read, "Is it just me, or is Alistair...", and for some reason, the next thing that popped up in my mind was "gay".

That said, I liked his character. My first character was a chick and I ended up having her go for Alistair rather than Leliana. It just seemed a better fit. She was a bit of a goody good, so Zevran was never allowed in the party.

Alistair is a fun character. He seems like the sort of person who would be fun to have around if only for the humorous banter. I enjoyed having him in the party with Morrigan. At first, I kind of thought they might be an item.

Ha ha, he may not be 'perfect', but I think he's absolutely adorable. He's so sweet and awkward, it's charming :) He was kind of sappy at times though, not a huge fan of that. (That's sounds like a contradiction to my first statement, sorry.)

Alistair's not an idiot but he is a bit immature. His personality doesn't suit his age (mid 20s?) or appearance. IRL we'd probably be bff. Seems like the type of guy who, after seeing you talk to a girl(heh preferably Morrigan), won't come up to you and say "hey when you gonna tap that?"

I'm a guy and I absolutely loved Alistair (not that way). He reminded me much of myself as I have quite the sense of humor (although maybe too much at times). Probably why I felt so much compassion for him after the whole Duncan thing. I want him to be real mostly because I feel like he's the friend I've always wanted. Kinda sounds stupid but oh well.

Because that's how every guy should be, am I right?

<3 Alistair. Goofy guys are just awesome.

My boyfriend is currently playing through the game as a female with intent to woo Alistair to see what my problem is. I consider it training. Muah ha ha.

Alistair was raised up to be a gentleman (says so himself).

I'm sure some women are swoon by him, while others say "Thanks, but I'll pass".

I'm a guy so I don't look at him the way women do. But in real life, I'm sure Alistair would be a great catch for some of the ladies. It really all depends on what the women are going for.

He's not the agressive type (I have yet to see him hardened, even though I tried).

Maybe my opinion of him will change once i see him "mature".
