Hi, i´ve wanted to play once again, only to notice that i have this DLC problem, which seems quite common (great if it is a game, which has so many DLCs).
Anyways, in the official topic i´m told to

"If your cd key is missing, it can be reinstalled by:

-  Navigate
to the data directory on your installation cd and run 'Dragon
Age_code.exe'.  A prompt will appearing allowing you to re-enter your
cd key
"
Soo.. since i´ve bought it on Steam i obvisiously have no CD, what to do now?

How did they stop working?

There is a really good FAQ for help with DLC issues.

A common problem is that the Dragon Age Origins Content Updater service isn't running. You can try manually starting it, before you start the game.
1.) Press the windows key + R (or click Start and then RUN) and type in services.msc and press ENTER
2.) Locate the Dragon Age: Origins - Content Update in the list of services.
3.) Right click it and select START

Hi, it seems to me that it´s this problem mentioned here (No CD Key in Registry)

http://social.biowar...58/index/294757

It shows my DLC/Collectors Edition as not registered, when i look it up in the program mentioned there is also only one registry number instead of three.

Problem is, that the solution for this, is not available for me, since i don´t have a cd but a steam installation.

You should have gotten a "CD" key with your steam installation, its the same code you used to register your game here.  Its not a number stamped on the CD, but instead the unique registration identifier for each copy of the game sold.

Yes, i have three (which i registered via the website) and they worked nicely. Now they don´t and i have no clue where i should re-register them, since i have no cd, which the official solution suggests.

Quite frankly, i need this DragonAge_code.exe for Steam Users.

These are the customer self help forums.

have you tried
saving and exiting the game then go to downloadable content and disable all your DLC content. Reload last game and choosing to force load the game whan it tells you that there is missing content. Then immediately save your game again and exit. Go back and re-enable all your DLC and re-load your game again.

This will re-introduce all of your content that you have access to.

If this does not work then you will have to edit you addins.xml file to stop the game from checking the servers for authorization but I'm not keen to discuss that yet.

Run the DAUServiceDiagnostic_beta.exe again. The Awakening installation (and Patch 1.03) included the same fixes as the beta, but it sometimes doesn't follow through with the installation properly. Running the beta app afterward fixes things up.

Hi Kepha and thx for your answer..

i already did that, sadly without result, it says all is ok, but doesnt work.

I now tried to start the content updater service, but it tells me its in the wrong directory (i changed my steam directory, and the service path is still linked to the oled dir...)

any idea what to do, except a new install?

Check Section 5 of the DLC In-Game Error FAQ for instructions on how to update your registry to point Windows to a new location for the service.
