Just heard it in this video but don't know if it's true or not.

Oh right, him. He has a funny name. Personally I wouldn't be too busted up about it. I definitely don't remember the music being bad but neither do I find myself humming it at random intervals. It fit and that's about the best I can say about it.

Well there's 20 minutes I won't get back. Just kidding.

I love Inon Zur. But I hope DA3 sounds great though.

How reliable is that source?

"Bigger composer" sounds like what they did with ME3. Get a bunch of composers together to create the entire score, then have 1 big name like Clint Mansell work on 1 or 2 songs and give him the top billing.

I'm ok with them getting another composer but Inon should at least do a few tracks!

Agree. I didn't think the DA soundtracks were bad either but I can hardly recall a single track.

I dont think a new composer for DA3 is as big of a deal as ME3 since ME had similar themes and music (like the galaxy map music being the same in all the games) so someone new coming in and changing things might be good for DA. Not that they couldn't keep similar themes for familiar people or places.

If it's true (I don't see much reason to suspect that person is lying, anyway), guess I should be happy since I've been chasing that car for a while now. But it really depends on who they replace him with and what the new direction is and what the end result of all of that is. Inon Zur wasn't bad.

It would be a shame if he doesn't return. I thought he did a fine job on both games.

DA:Origins music was fantastic.
DA2, not so much, but by Inon Zur's own admission, it was rushed and unfinished.

Yeah, I can't think of Dragon Age music without thinking of the score and themes from DAO. DA2 music doesn't really stick with me, but DAO's score was iconic and is very much embedded in my DAO memories.

I am going to agree to disagree here... I thought DA2 was much better then DA:O when it came to the music.

But anyway... I don't know how I feel about Inon Zur not coming back... assuming that girl is telling the truth.  I just want to know who the new composer will be.

they have to at least get Audrey Ashburne back.

honestly, I think her voice is what gave DA it's style, not Zur...

Idk.. DA2 had some good tracks IMO. Fenris' theme and the Hawke family theme are the standouts for me.

Get Jeremy Soule perhaps? Or how about Jack Wall?

Execpt for the DA:O main theme I thought the music in both game was pretty forgetable.

If they decide to bring in someone else it wont bother me.

Damn shame, he made some really good tracks. I still hum the Hanged Man theme along with the main theme of DA:O.

The Rise of the Qunari was the best music.

Both games had some gems, but as a whole the scores were pretty forgettable. Zur's work isn't bad, but it isn't terribly impressive either; it's just sort of there. So long as the replacement/supplementary composers can keep the feel of the series, I won't be too upset.

Aubrey Ashburn's stuff is amazing, however.

lol what an over reaction.

It reminds me of when Zack Snyder said he didn't want to use the John Williams Superman score.

Inon Zur is excellent, but DA2 wasn't his best work. Most of the tracks are fairly forgettable, save for essentially a couple (Such as the tavern music).

I'm okay with that.

Zur did an excellent work in IWD and other titles, but his soundtrack for the DA series is rather underwhelming.
