I liked some of his work in Origins and DA2, but I found most of it forgettable.
Inon Zur may not return to compose DA3

This right here. Dragon age music is hit n miss if you ask me and I think it could be a good thing to get a new composer in.

Yeah not gonna miss him at all really, no offense to those who liked him but I always felt the DA music as kinda forgettable. I mean, in some cases it's better to have a more subtle OST but the DA music lacked any real sort of character beyond the wailing vocals.
This is all supposing that this is all factual and etc.

I would actually be okay with it if the ME3 composers worked on DA3 music. I mean ME1,2 had great music but ME3 required something which had shades of bleak, optimism etc etc and the team delivered it in spades.
Say what you will about the final game but no one can deny that ME3 had some of the best tracks in recent gaming history.
Btw, from DA:O my favorite track was camp music and from DA2 it was Hawke Family Theme and Rogue Heart.

The only thing I remember from the ME3 soundtrack is that repetitive piano they kept playing over and over again.
Other than that, forgettable.

Really? I don't remember a repetitive piano piece and Leaving Earth was barely used a few times:D
For me it was the most memorable ones were Main Menu, Character Creation, The Credits and An End Once and for All.

I you found ME3's soundtrack forgettable you have a poor, poor taste in music.
There is no repetitive piano piece. If you are talking about leaving earth and an end once and for all they only play at the start and the end...
They never play over and over again.
