I always liked Thane. Probably my favourite squadmate behind Garrus and Miranda.
I was a little disappointed to hear he'd "re-resigned" himself to death even in the romance arc. Though, I must say I never had an issue with the inevitability of his death. It might have been nicer to hear that he'd been undergoing new treatment and the results were positive. Only to have his death during the coup be that much more tragic.
Though, I know some would have hated this.
Oh my god I would have loved this. Especially if he had got date content before that so health AND social life was looking up until everything comes crashing down. But then, I love tragedy.

Yeah, it would have been cool to have at least one more conversation with him at some point on the Citadel.
The conversation in the hospital really hammered in the fact that his death was inevitable.
I think that might have taken away from the moment a little. Whenever people talk about Thane on here, a lot say he was going to die anyway so taking on Kai Leng was a good way to go out. This is why I don't think his death had the same impact as Mordins.
If there had been some prospect of survival, I think it would have been a far more powerful and emotive moment.

That would've been absolutely fantastic! =) Almost reminds me of a... somewhat disturbing scene from Fate/Zero.Quote the Raven wrote...

Does not excuse giving him a crappy death. More so when Kirrahe if laive is a bodyguard for Velarn, yet he's taking a nap when Thane is alive? Wut?thearbiter1337 wrote...

And thus the fan torment begins. I hope there are some BioWare folks munching popcorn and chuckling evilly to themselves over this.LanceSolous13 wrote...
Menzen tweeted that Thane is 'complicated and spoilery'.
Could we still have hope?
Thane was my favorite LI as well. Even though I'm planning to play the Citadel DLC regardless of content, it'll be rather painful to hang out and play casino games with Jack or something while Thane is pushing up daisies.

If there is another hospital visit, I hope they literally get a room this time.MinttyMint wrote...
Well I'm hoping since its after the Cerberus coup and Thane doesn't die until after, that we'll get to visit him in hospital before he dies kinda like the multiple visits to the VS...
Shepard is rather efficient, and I guess making out with Thane right there in the lobby in front of a giant window was a time-saver but... um... yeah.
I hope the Jacob fans get some love as well. Or if not love, give Shepard a hate option to punch that guy out. After all, he's already in the hospital ready to receive immediate care for the concussion.

No surprise. BioWare believes most people play FemShep are males and are) n it for the girl-on-girl action. It's obviously not the same BioWare we all knew and loved.

FemShep has two viable heterosexual options and four viable lesbian options in ME3. If Kaidan died or you didn't romance Garrus in ME2, you only have lesbians (minus Kelly, who has to be romanced in ME2). So. Yes. Their statement seemed pretty spot-the-fcuk-on.

Do you honestly believe BioWare makes female protagonists in their games for the lesbian action? If you do then just...wow.

While I don't want a cure included, some sort of closure--anything-- is better than what they got: no acknowledgment of romance or death.
I'd like to see more content added in pre-coup for romance and friendship path (though I seriously doubt that will happen as the dlc is supposed to take place after it). After all, there is only basically one interactive conversation you have with him whether he's romanced or not. I would like femShep to have someone to talk to about it or a chance to talk and spend some time with Kolyat.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you guys.

@Ghost1017@: Sure seems that way. ManShep had more heterosexual options than FemShep time and seeing how suddenly they start hitting on my Shep AFTER her LI died, was just disgusting. But, hey! Go ahead and defend Buttware's decisions to shaft FemShep

things got out of hand in the romance threads.. something along the lines of naming a vibrator Garrus Vakarian..? idk i just heard about it._Heather_Shepard_ wrote...
I just hate it how they ignore the fact that FemShep was shafted in this game. I mean, ME 1 & 2 had more equality between the two genders than this. And guess what? They close the romance threads.

Your post stated that BioWare makes female protagonists in their games for the "girl on girl action" which is completely laughable. Judging by your use of diction, you seem to be very immature and not really worth the effort of replying ._Heather_Shepard_ wrote...

i cant believe they insist on killing off a terminally ill guy
You were told he was was dying that doesn't mean "jumps on sword after 1 conversation" and that didn't mean definitely dead during ME3. If Chris l’etoile said he didn't know how Thane's arc would continue after ME2 that means nothing was set in stone for him until the new writer took over and didn't bother to do his homework.
Then you learn he had a terminal sickness.(Look up what that means.)
The you learn their is no cure.
So, not one time did bioware say thane could be saved. Theys aid he was dieing and they fallowed thought

Thane: In love with femshep (recall the love letter from LoTSB) and he gets ignored again.
What is LoTSB? and when did you get this letter??? I romanced him in one of my two play throughs, I was there with his son as he died, I don't ever remember getting a letter :-( made me nearly cry reading it.
