It depends on person.
Some people would just like to have Thane alive for longer time, even if he still would have to die.

Some would like the possibility of his survival and nothing other than that would satisfy them (count me here).

When I want sexy times, I go visit my boyfriend. I don't need a romance scene in the game to think it is good. What I want from game is at least a small glimpse of hope. I find it difficult to believe in afterlife, so for me, Shep and Thane most likely never meet again. And I can't stand that. I wanted it to be left open to interpretation, something similar to breath scene. So that one day, when relays are fixed, Thane and Shep could wander around  the galaxy and shoot bad people.

Now, I have to come up with a headcanon for the whole ME3 game. It's starts like that: when Shepard takes breath, she regains consciousness and starts to realise, her surrounding change. Another moment and she's suddenly able to see what's there for real. She's on the Normandy, rescued from the failed 'Arrival' mission. ME3 was only a nightmare, inflicted on Shepard while Reapers tried to indoctrinate her. Now, the true story begins.  Did they succed? Will she be able to command the Normandy after the trauma the fake memories caused in her? And a lot more.

Yeah, Thane's death is not acceptable in my story and as far as I'm concerned, Shepard and Thane are still there:

Did you guy miss the fact that the dlc is post coup? That is what I am refurring to. That can add anything pre coup. The best they can do is a funeral.

Garrus is my "canon" female Shepard LI and the whole thing still ticks me off. I'll have to force my adept through to see the "LI only" content. Does that mean my male Shepard doesn't get anything as a friend?

So freaking frustrating.

I'm a Thanemancer, and I was excited for the news of more Thane content. I am irritated over the amount of complaining coming from many.

Because we shouldn't have to pay extra for something that should have been in the game.

You are basing all of this off of a trailer out of which maybe less than three seconds give any insight on what could possibly by relating to Kolyat.  Can't we just wait and see before making conclusions like this?

Yes, but they could have made it pre-coup. The only reason I can think of as to why they didnt is the Citadel is left in quite the state, so getting an apartment before such a circumstance would make little sense. People here have a right to be upset, telling them to "deal/live with it" is not adding anything to the discussion and comes off as rude, so please stop with that phrase.

Then I would recommend you stop trying to control others and deal with your frustration. People are going to complain. You don't have to take part in it. It's not your job to stop it. Yes, but they could have made it pre-coup. The only reason I can think of as to why they didnt is the Citadel is left in quite the state, so getting an apartment before such a circumstance would make little sense. People here have a right to be upset, telling them to "deal/live with it" is not adding anything to the discussion and comes off as rude, so please stop with that phrase.

It's clear that based on the story of the dlc thatit could not be pre coup. Being that the trailer states it's a mission that happen when Shepard is no shore leave, it's clear they can't doit at the start of the war.

Sorry but you have to face fact that the best they can do is a better goodbye for Thane with family and friends.

You will pay for a whole, new downloadable content for an awesome game, with 4 gb of new content, including Thane's funeral. The DLC cost 1200 Bioware points, with or without the funeral.

So I'm assuming all of you have played the dlc and seen the thane related content in the dlc, in context and fully, to claim that this dlc didn't offer you anything right?

Or are you people using space magic to justify seeing what all other people have not, and played this dlc a day before it was released.

I disagree, especially if the Kolyat dialogue is designed with Shepard LI in mind. It's most definitely Thane content, just not the kind you wanted.
