etc etc. Best I can do off the top of my head lol

To be honest, it would be nice if Shepard held the contact with Kolyat alive.

I wouldn't want to romance him myself, it would be a bit... uh, too awkward. But keep an eye on him, indeed. I think Thane would have appreciated that.

I'd modify the re-join you part to account for Thane's statement earlier in the game that he felt his part was done and he was at peace with his life (in response to Shepard asking him to rejoin the Normandy). Have him acknowledge that he said this, BUT now he thinks *etc etc you know Thane more than me*.

So you would say CF has hemoglobin creation complications....Right?

Of course it does...

I disagree - low levels of iron = low levels of haemoglobin, but the haemoglobin that are there are functional. CF does not lead to problems with creation of haemoglobin.

This is not technically on topic so I'm going to leave it there and we can just agree to disagree.

Yes, please stop Beanie. My brain can't handle much more of the misspellings, horrible grammar and the haphazard use of punctuation by the other party.

Pretty much why we Thanemancers are uset because it's probably all we're getting while everyone else gets long romance scenes. *sigh*

Sorry to break it to you, but it's difficult to romance dead people. Trust me, I've tried. You get creepy looks, people complain, and before you know it there's a whole lot of fuss occurring.

Thane was terminally ill. Pretty much his entire character was based around his illness and the fact that he was dying. You choose to romance the guy who is dying, fine - good for you.  The fact that you know the relationship is doomed to end with Thane dying in the very near future is what makes it so unique. It's an interesting story. One of my Shepard's has done so.

But then he died. It was to be expected. I think he may have mentioned the fact that he was dying at some point. Maybe once or twice he brought it up?

It's ironic that while Thane was reluctant to get involved romantically because of his illness, you took the time to convince him it was more important to make the most of the time he had left.... and then when it's over people can't accept it and demand more time. You don't get it, because that's what happened - he died. Such is the tragedy of  relationship with somebody with a terminal illness. Practice what you preached throughout ME2, and make the most of the time you had with Thane, rather than stamping your feet about wanting more time with him and bringing him back from the dead.

The lack of a special mention afterwards is disappointing - Shepard could have had a photo in her cabin or something, you'd think - but that looks like it's being rectified here. Thane died, but that doesn't mean the romance story is over - Shepard can take the time out to look back and appreciate the time they did get to spend together. That's the best you could logically expect from a Thane romance, right from the start, and it looks like that's what you will be getting as of tomorrow. Thane/Shep is a tragic love story, and always has been. If you can't handle that, you shouldn't have picked it to begin with.

lol, be glad I didn't do it in Jack-voice or something.  Which would have suited my mood today much better (because work is sucking still.  Love doing 3x the work everyone else does)

I've heard in this thread that one of the Shadow Broker files reveals he could have had a lung transplant but refused, presumably because he wanted to die. If due to the romance he no longer wants to die, then wouldn't a logical conclusion be that in ME3 he can live?

I wholeheartedly agree with you provided the romance was always tragic. But if that's really what they SB file said, then they led Thane romancers on with hope that they ultimately chose to ignore.

Understandable. Still, the way I see it, a letter that can account for established content while re-implementing Thane's character development is always better than just choosing to ignore what he says in ME3.

Maybe he just said that because he knew that his sickness would be a distraction or burden on Shepard? There's lots of ways to spin it. ;)

They made no promises.. Add, a surgury is risky. People with critical lung issues have a very low servival rate.

It's a story. He only would have died from surgery if the writers wanted him to. Moreover, that's not why he refused the lung transplant so it's irrelevant.

So Thanemancers are forced to fix the blatantly obvious mistakes in his character through headcanon?  If we go the headcanon route, why is this DLC being made at all?  Lord knows it wouldn't be hard making up some generic Liara or Garrus romance scenes in your head.

I tried keeping it on topic but hardly anyone seemed interested in that idea.  For the record I'm still interested in discussing those questions a page or two back.

But he never requested for a lung transplant after the romance, so that's also irrelivent.

He also said he was at peace with dieing when he said he wasn't in ME2.

The writers just forgot things. They said as much and it showed.

Okay, but let's look at this situation. Someone is dying but has an operation available to save them. They don't want the operation because they want to die. Suddenly, they fall in love with someone and no longer want to die. It's reasonable and logical to expect them to agree to the operation.

My post wasn't really concerned with any of that. I was just making a suggestion that would I think make a Thane letter more powerful. Fan fiction is always better when characters act in-character. It would be more in character for Thane to acknowledge what he said and explain why he said it, even if it's to fix a mistake by the writers where he acts *out* of character.

@Starscream720: So wh you're saying is I made the wrong decision in romancing him and try to act like a complete a** because I voiced my opinion? Interesting. It's idiotic people like you who have nothing else better to do than to crap on other people's hopea to make yourself feel better. Yes they could've killed Thane but at least make it optional. But my point was the way that he was treated in ME3 was unacceptable.

And he can't develop that peace again? Remeber, before he said he was at peace he was about to let himself be killed off.
Ifa person learns they have a terminal illness and the sudden on purpose trying to walk into traffic to try and get crused by a car.
Would that not be called a suicide attempt?

Alright, I misunderstood.  The optimal solution (not that it would ever happen) would be for Bioware to go back and fix their charcaterization mistakes, but I see where you're coming from.
