Welcome to my reality. There's nothing like being trolled by bioware themselves (doesn't apply to Dusty) and a large majority of BSN/the world.

If I didn't find some redemption in Steve, I would have burned the disk and sent the ashes to bioware.

The hell are you talking about? Thane was absolutely not forgotten in ME3.

I never said it was acceptable. Don't put words in my mouth. I said she wasn't serious, and I have read things that are much much worse on this very forum.

So... I don't know if anyone has confirmed it already but it is indeed a memorial service and while I will not delve into details due to spoilers, I found it quite appropriate. Cant say if its different for a romanced Thane however.

Sofar as i have seen on Ytube (and now on the livestream playing in the combat Arena you can pick all characters (also from Me1 and 2) exept Thane, Mordin and Legion.

so it seems everyone can have their LI as squadmate to fight with exept you Thane ppl.

Ah dont know, since I had no other saves imported I just quickly jumped on my Garrusmancer that at the end. Also Garrus... Does not dissapoint. Cant wait to see the other romance scenes it even looks like James is a possible Li, cant confirm but it sure implys it.

Wow, that's worse than no Thane at all.  You can friggin pick Kasumi/Zaeed???  Thane is the ONLY LI that you can't pick?  Ugh.

Watched the memorial scene from a Maleshep playthrough. I think they did a very good job on it. I don't plan on buying this DLC so my opinion is skewed, but from watching other videos and talking to Thane fans on tumblr it seems the only problem is that the memorial seems verging on disrespectful given how out of place it is. The rest of the DLC is very lighthearted, with a lot of cheesy banter between squadmates and stuff. Not really the appropriate mood for mourning.

I hate to say it, but it seems this REALLY should've been in the base game. I know everyone is going to feel that way about certain parts of the DLC, but it's a shame you have to pay $15 for recognition that a main character died.

I only watched it in isolation so I can imagine it could be quite jarring if the context of the whole DLC if shep spends the rest of the time laughing and joking.  This was why they should never have made Thane's death forced because they were never going to be able to pull off Shepard mourning a LI in an effective way, it was always going to be confined to a specific scene and totally overlooked in others where recognition of her loss would have been appropriate.

At this point, Thane's death is a non-issue.  I have yet to see any Thane content from a romanced playthrough, so as far as I'm concerned everything is still up in the air.

Based on the video Sparky just posted, Thane actually has a very fair amount of content in the DLC.  Even the videos (which I am sure will be different for a romanced playthrough) are three minutes long, right around the length of the other romance scenes.  Looks like they made a very thoughtful effort to please Thane fans despite the less than ideal circumstances.
