In terms of the memorial, don't know what they could have done better tbh.  Can't wait for some Step-mommy Shepard/Kolyat stuff... maybe.

She's allowed to feel the way she wants to feel. If you don't like it then leave. No one is making you come to this thread.

broken immersion of my experience FROM THE ACTUAL ****ING GAME ruined any chances a funeral could possibly have had anyway 

i'm expected to pay $15 for bioware to "bother"?  yeah, okay.  i'm packin up.  my genuine interest in this fandom ran dry a long time ago.  it's clear bioware can't handle the complex endeavors they've been claiming for a year they've delivered upon, so i'm not gonna bother either

Oh, me neither. it also didn't help that it sounded like she was underwater. reminded me of this. I had one as a kid and when you held it underwater and made it sing, it sounded pretty similar to what was in that video

Watched the memorial scene from a Maleshep playthrough. I think they did a very good job on it. I don't plan on buying this DLC so my opinion is skewed, but from watching other videos and talking to Thane fans on tumblr it seems the only problem is that the memorial seems verging on disrespectful given how out of place it is. The rest of the DLC is very lighthearted, with a lot of cheesy banter between squadmates and stuff. Not really the appropriate mood for mourning.

I hate to say it, but it seems this REALLY should've been in the base game. I know everyone is going to feel that way about certain parts of the DLC, but it's a shame you have to pay $15 for recognition that a main character died.

I watched the youtube video that was posted with the maleShep playthrough and I have very mixed feelings about it. You're absolutely right that this content should have been in the base game. Thane's death was pretty much forced on us and they were sloppy about it and this is basically a fix. I doubt they ever would have bothered if so many fans hadn't campaigned so hard this past year. It's not what we wanted, but it's all we're going to get. I'm still sad that this is it and still angry, if I'm honest.

I want to see a romanced FemShep playthrough before I make my final decision regarding this DLC. I want to see if what is said, during the memorial/videos is substantially different with a romance active. I want to know if Shepard ever says (to anyone) that Thane was special to her and that she loved him because she damn well never got to tell him when he was alive. And yes, I'm still bitter over that.

Has ANYONE here seen the romance content, or at least talked to someone who has? Thane's personality was probably the biggest complaint from Thanemancers so I'm confident Bioware took that into account and wrote satisfying LI content for him.

They shouldn't be grateful because BW screwed it up from the beginning by having a new writer (who obviously knew nothing about him) write Thane in ME3

I think it was perfect. Editing Thane back in may have been a strech, but they did as well as they possibly could with what they had.

The Funeral made me sad and seeing Samara and Tali and Garrus talking about Thane was perfect. How many other characters have that content? We don't often have other character's opinions on eachother and we got some great story moments. I loved it.

The videos were touching and I believe they saved as much as they possibly could. They explained Thane's place at the hospital and even spesifically mention some of our complaints. Kolyat getting funding for a cure was also a great touch.

Its certainly not how it should have been in the first place, but I think they did more than we could have hoped for.

Yes, it should have been in the base game, but do we want them to make a DLC or not? I think what they did salvaged our drell and bandaged and kissed our wounds.

We have a sense of entitlement. Have you seen some of the other fanbases. Please.

No one said they hated the funeral. Some might, but not everyone.
You seem to have a problem because we don't all love it. We are entitled to our opinion.
I thought the funeral was ok. Not bad. It's just ok.
