 No problem! And I sure did; held the memorial, affirmed that Shepard still loved Thane, and watched the videos. Not quite sure why I got the scene and you didn't  We seem to have done the same things.

There is no drama in the afterlife. That's how I look at it so it doesn't really bother me.

Yes, my brother brought this up recently (dont question it, hes random like that) he said "If my partner ever died I dont think Id be able to love someone else... Just think about it, thats going to be -really- awkward in "heaven"..."
I thought about it and yes It bothers me too.

I have replayed the party again and didn't get the scene -- but I didn't meet Kolyat and didn't hold the memorial yet either. I wonder whether that was why I didn't get this dialogue... In any case, I do not think I like it.

I do not believe in afterlife, neither does my Shepard. So talking about meeting across the sea was and is just a beautiful metaphor.

It's ironic, however, how my Shepard who didn't believe in afterlife actually continued living after her death -- well, in a way, in a Reaper form, since she chose Control. Thane, on the other hand, did believe in afterlife, but he died once and for all.

It's not the whole "loving again" aspect that bothers me, just the afterlife specifically. Thane obviously believes strongly in its existence and he wants to meet Shepard there. But he obviously was in love with Irikah, too. I don't really know what to make of it.

But even as a metaphor, surely Thane understood the gravity of what he was saying.  Those ten years he was alone, reuniting with Irikah must have been at the forefront of his mind.

It shouldn't be awkward at all. No one will be jealous. It shouldn't matter.

There are a lot of people who's spouses die and they get remarried. They expect to see them both when they die. Those things that matter down here shouldn't matter in the afterlife.

Sounds like I'm still going to be youtubing this one. I'm glad that they at least made people remember Thane but meh. I'm tired. I'm tired of the disappointment and anger and trolling. Mass Effect is just done for me. No more.

Who are you trying to convince?  Everyone here knows the ME3 romance was complete ****, but this DLC had no chance of fixing that to begin with.  Take the DLC or don't; incessant whining does nothing.

Watched the romanced Thane memorial service. Though this should have been in the vanilla game, romanced or not.

I saw the memorial service for Thane (non-romance) and I thought it was nice. I think it should have been in the main game, but what can you do. What they did add was fitting, imo.

I haven't seen anything concerning Jacob if you romanced him. Does anyone know what goes down?
