I'm confused. Is there actually a problem with complaining about complainers if it's a valid complaint?

If someone's whining in your ear for a year are you out of line to ask them to stop?

Does that mean that it's ok to complain about complaining about complainers as long as it's a valid complaint?

Also, I wasn't ware anyone was being forced to come on the forums, read the responses, and reply to them, so the 'whining in your ear' part of the analogy isn't exactly accurate.

I don't think anyone needs to wish  anything. Bioware already made their bed, and EA's chopping block as been a bit dry for too long.

One bad game?

Dragon Age 2, and SWTOR would like to have a word with you.

Merely a petty opinion..

Hehe Bioware going out of business. They'll release ME4 and people who are here complaining and insisting that they won't buy it, will end up buying it. Then they won't like one certain aspect of the game and continue to cry about a game or franchise they don't care about until the follow up in the series follows.

Edit: SWTOR had its bright spots, end game was just complete garbage though.

Origins is worth it. ME1&2 would be if not for the endings (still are if you liked/tolerated them). Jade Empire and Kotor too.

As much as I would like the money to stop rolling, it is inevitable that there will still be fans who like the whole aspect of a virtual romance who will continue to throw money at Bioware. Same goes for the MP aspect.

I'm not saying it's gonna be as succesful as ME2 or ME3 sales but it still will be profitable. For the rest of us who liked the whole ME universe and the story...sucks for us.

Oh, get over yourselves, every day you go on with this stuff you look more pathetic and ridiculous. I swear to god, I know accomplished academics who don't show half the entitlement you have over a videogame you played.
And if you guys think this geek community is somehow a big chunck of the market you're seriously in need of a reality check and stepping out of the bubble you live in.

All this reminds of the elections here in Italy. There's this relatively new protest party, "Movimento Cinque Stelle" (Five-Star Movement), it's getting really big really fast, will probably get around 15-18% this weekend in the national elections, maybe as far as 20, and so will have some decent rapresentation. But if you talk to them, a lot, maybe even most of them are positively sure, with no possible rational reason to be, that they will win the elections. Why? Because they are constantly just talking to each other and that's their whole world as far as politics is concerned, and they can't even imagine how someone could ever vote something else without some obscure motive or just being stupid. A lot of them are also conspiracy bait so they will probably say there's been voter fraud, even though every single poll ever says clearly the centre-left coalition will definitely win (well, we'll have some difficulty in the senate but basically, nationally we will win in the numbers).
And it's the same with this thing. I guess last year for a few days (not a year!) I may have thought like that, too. You have this big feeling (and BTW, for me it was a BIG feeling, even if negative, and that in itself is a huge accomplishment for a videogame), find this community where most people feel like you, and so you convince yourself that either you guys are the majority or the everyone who doesn't feel like you must be some superficial player, not a true fan like you!

There are some returning names that pop frequently here on BSN. Those people seems to be compelled to go in to threads they do not like and engage in discussions they do not care about just to get a chance to complain about complainers Image IPB Maybe the voices in their heads force them to go in to the threads and read through all those pages filled with text that upsets them? Maybe the whining in their ears is just the voice in their head?

And seriously people. Its been a year and you're still butthurt over the fact that some people didn't like the ending. Get over it! It's time to move on Image IPB

I would, but I literally just remembered how confused the ending made me. Not angry or sad, just confused. I don't usually see the bad in games unless their too obvious since I want to enjoy them. Then again, on my second playthrough I realized just how repetitive this was going to be compared to its predecessors.

I can go back and play possibly my favorite games of all time, like Ocarina of Time, Smash Bros. Melee, Saboteur, etc, and still enjoy them. Mass Effect 1 is included along with 2, but the finale?

**** man, it just hurts.

People need to stop posting about the ending, it's over. Bioware gave us a FREE EC. Sure the ending was garbage before the EC. All these polls about it are pointless. Now you probably thinking, "Oh, this idiot isn't a true fan, he hasn't played all the mass effects or he hasn't played them long enough." I have in fact I preorderd every single one and have the trilogy. The fact that everyone hates the ending because Shepard dies is ridiculous, I know there is other reasons why people hate it, but, this seems to be the main reason(in my observations). I understand it is not *complete* either. Some people hate it because they didnt get what they wanted. It's biowares game and they can do whatever they want with it. I hate the ending, but I also enjoy it and like it as well but I've found closure with it and I'm definitely getting the next mass effect.

I've forgiven the ending. I just won't forget it.

It's a part of BW history and exist's in the mind's of BW fan's. And to talk about releasing all parties from their commitment to remembering what occured is irresponsible. Forget what happened and somewhere down the line it'll be repeated.

I still think the original ending, that went on to inform the ECDLC that had to operate according to the original ending, came about from too few human resource's given too little time to develop the ending into something coherent. That is principally what I'm against. Thinking that an aspect of an AAA game can be thrown together rather than crafted. ME3 was a AAA game. And it was good, it also lacked features inherent to ME that fortunately were patched.... but that just reinforces the point that ME3 was released before it was completely ready.

Aa very good point. Would you want to be remembered for trashing a cultural icon with substandard work based off of greed more than a desire to improve the quality of society through quality workmanship?

I wouldn't.  Apparently enough folks at BW don't have a fall back job so they can take a moral stand...

Yup, the difference would be that BioWare had a chance to fix it. George Lucas didn't.

I just cant help but laugh at those who thought it was a great ending.  Complete lack in any critical reflective reasoning.  Come on here to defend Mac N' Chaseey's shot call and defend it as the gospel.  They were wrong,  Bioware knew it was wrong and it got a spanking publicly because of it.   So they did the right thing,  tried to patch it up a bit.  I commend Bioware for at least TRYING.  But the problem is they missed the mark.   They didnt go as far as they should have.

If you will "never be able to let it go," you have a problem that stretches far beyond a video game ending.

Considering your avatar name perhaps you should admit you have a problem too.

I applaud the ending and enjoy it because of how memorable it is. It is very anti-cliche. What I mean by this is that going into this game the majority of players (me included) probably were expecting the Best ending to be Shepard lives, goes on with his life and LI and happily ever after, and the worst being total destruction of all the main species and Galaxy. Nobody and I mean nobody could have conjured up the ending situation we ended up getting. And that is why I like this ending because here we are, almost a year later STILL talking and debating this very issue. When has there ever been a game with an ending as controversial, as well known and a subject of heated discussion as big as ME3?
