urgh, why does the ending actually need any more forum posts? the game is great, the story-arc is epic, the endings fit (for me anyway) and if they don't fit for you (not necessarily OP but "you" plural) then tough sheet.
There's an old saying that fits for the endings that i'm sure you've all already heard or know of:
“You can please some of the people all of the time, you can please all of the people some of the time, but you can’t please all of the people all of the time”.
IOW - get over it everybody.
I'm somewhat curious, now. Are all issues that people have with the game too much? I mean, the people with those complaints can't be pleased. So should everyone just give up complaining? Praise is even less constructive than complaints. Should we give that up too? What would be left of the forum?

Why it bothers people that much confounds me.

After this the game will be complete. After this there will be no more falling back on 'maybe they'll fix it in DLC' whatever problems people have with the ending will either be sorted or not.
I predict a resurgence of hate after the DLC hits. I mat join in I may not. Depends on what this conspiracy is.

Complaints and praise are 2 sides of the same coin, its just on this forum there is an especially quiet praise section and an especially noisy complaint section. Both have their place for sure, but it's been almost a year since the game came out, the last DLC has been announced, now is time for closure, acceptance (whether you like it or not) and moving on.
In any case, complaining is just whining because you didn't get what you want - a lot of it is just that, a lot of it is just a big load of old pony that at first i must admit i was fully a part of! however with the introduction of EC, Leviathan and even Omega ME3 went from being an amazing game with it's flaws (no game is without flaws) and a pretty sh!t ending, to an amazing game with it's flaws, a really well done ending - not perfect by any means, however it was a nigh on impossible task to make the endings feel perfect for everyone - they are however as near as dammit for me.
Isn't anybody else now bored and sick to the back teeth of coming on here and seeing "moan moan moan endings." "waa waa waa red/blue/green waa waa"? If i am on my own in this i'd be incredibly surprised!

I predict that if your prediction is right, all the reasonable adults in the room will leave.
No DLC will ever be prefect. And neither would any ending.
I have no interest in people that can't be adults about it and accept that sometimes their expectations will not be met perfectly. And just because those expectations are not met does not automatically entitle you to anything.
Choose to be happy when you get things you want. Put the locus of control on yourself and don't blame others. Be a freaking adult.
Edit: Not you personally, Jenonax. People who would start this hate storm you are talking about.

Oh I have a sneaking suspicion that after the DLC hits it's going to get a whole lot worse.

You see i think (hope) the opposite will happen. Once this DLC hits, that'll be it. Book closed essentially. People will moan still yeah, but i think it will taper off with the knowledge that nothing else will happen whatsoever with regards to ME3 or the trilogy as a whole.
Look at it this way (weird comparison, but only thing i can think of right now so stick with me a minute):
Your cat goes missing. (Or dog, or kid, or goldfish - whatever).
You don't know if it got hit by a car, is stuck up a tree or has found another place to call home or whatever. It could have been eaten by a bear for all you know.
You petition for it's safe return home, you put up signs, you ask neighbours and you worry.
You then find out that it was up a tree, and you get your cat back who lavishes you with love and cuddles. And you can then move on with your life - book closed.
If you can't make the mental jump from my little tale to the tale of ME3 i'll explain:
Your cat goes missing - ME3 endings furore (even post EC)
You peitition for it's return - You petition for the endings change
Your cat comes home, you no longer need to petition for it's return - ME3 DLC ends, there's no more point in petitioning for ending chagnes.
It's loose but meh there you go!

Dismissing all complaints as 'just whining' is naive. Most complaints are made to improve, either the product in question or its subsequent ones. If something is not to a person's liking, they are entitled to speak about it. When two people with different or similar ideas meet, they discuss it. These discussions ideally lead to understanding. Dismissing complaints is refusing understanding. And if you do not seek to understand or to provide understanding, involving yourself in the discussion is not constructive.

Those that are still upset about the endings, keep it on topic and leave people out of your criticisms.
OP, silencing dissent never lead to anything good... just let it play out.

Honestly, complaining about complainers will get you absolutely nowhere. and dismissing all complaints as "whining" just makes you look like a complete prat.

Fight through Resistance 2. Your reward is a shot to the head. Ever play Kane and Lynch: Dog Days? You get on the plane. The end. How about something older. Finish Robotech: Battlecry to find out your character is left out in space to die. Something newer. After playing through Aliens: Colonial Marines Bishop says "We got everything." and the game ends. I'm still trying to figure out what I got and why it's everything. There are plenty of video game endings worse than Mass Effect 3's.
A good chunk of those games are objectively terrible. I've found my dog eating it's own crap just to get the taste of Kane and Lynch 2 out of her mouth.

Ranting about flaws in product someone bought vs ranting about rantings of other people. What is more immature i wonder?Haargel wrote...
Leave it, recently i started a thread If we could stop ranting about everything. The mayority of these boards, who are mostly 6 year old kids I'm guessing by now hijacked the thread and it was shut down.

Maybe ranting about people ranitng about people... Wait, i just did that. SO BE IT!
Proud 4 year-old me.
p.s
Ending was awful pre-ec and meh post-EC. It is not wine (worth a whine though). Time will not change it.
