This is a Harbinger appreciation thread since I likely wont ever see this character again.

Massive respect goes out to the Reaper that:

1.  Killed Shepard.  He was the ONLY character in the Mass Effect Universe that actually accomplished this.  You would say it is the Collectors that did it and you'd be right, but he controlled the Collectors.

2.  People talked trash about him in ME2 but then Bioware showed you how bad ass he was when he decimated hammer force and nearly killed Shepard AGAIN without saying a single word.  And if that wasn't enough, he stared at the Normandy as he plotted something in that crazy billions of minds of his.

3.  Awesome and Creepy voice and he made for a fun villain.  His lines in ME2 were fun and interesting (the ones on the genetic capabilities of the species).

4.   He was the only character to incapacitate Shepard (see the Arrival DLC) in combat.

Harbinger, you deserve better than having some less important villain replace you in the Citadel DLC.  This is assuming Harbinger is not in it.  Harbinger, you will be missed and God willing you will make an appearance in a future game or miraculously in this DLC.

Harbinger deserved more screen time in the campaign.

You need to branch out and find new villains in other games to like, Liggy.

Wallace Breen, perhaps?

You should have waited the DLC's release to make this thread.
But hey, that's another Harbinger thread created by liggy.

GLaDOS would be my suggestion.

Great villains are few and far between... they are difficult to find.  I was a big fan of Sephiroth in FF7.  More recently, Ocelot Revolver was a great bad guy as well.  Other than that, I can't really think of any.  I'd have to think more on it and play more games.

I have a strong feeling that this DLC will not have Harbinger in it.

You may well be right, but (not to raise any baseless hope) there's still that conspiracy to kill Shepard, that no one knows about.

I wonder why even bother to give negative criticism to DLC not yet released. It is like traduce something on purpose. Just wait and see.. It is my recommendation

Agreed.  Though I carry that sentiment to those saying "looks at what the citadel dlc has! they listened!" even though they havent seen if they really have or not.

This is more of a "just in case" thread.  I'll change the name to Harbinger's resurrection if he some how pops up.  I just don't think it's likely based on that fact that "someone" is behind the conspiracy.  It could be an indoctrinated someone but I don't get that feeling.

And, if I'm right, no need to make this thread later.  If I'm wrong, it will be fun to change the title and content.

We never got to pay back the favor personally. =/ Who knows... I always thought he had a small army of collectors still residing in him.... and there where ever the most important compartment of the Reapers lies a very powerful super Collector that acts as Harbinger Avatar much like Saren was to Sovereign... waiting to be fought. I always wonder what would a Reaper sounded like inside of one.

Gonna wait till the DLC. Then I'll pay my respects, if necessary.

Never liked him and i was glad that he wasnt there to **** like he did in ME2.

Problem here is that instead off making him shut up they cut him out completely even though he was the leader of the enemy.

At the end when they go like "harbinger has been spotted" am i like how the **** do you know him? How would the target audience (newcomers) get who he was?

There should have been at least one encounter with him somewhere in the middle of the story.

Who knows? Maybe we'll see Harby at the end and have at least a little conversation with him? We're talking about a "conspiracy" after all.. There is a lot of fan service in the DLC, but it certainly has something to do with the story, unlike Omega.

They're not forced to announce everything that will be in the DLC. What about a little surprise?

On the other hand if you were really expecting a boss fight, well...

I've said it before, and I'll say it again:

Harbinger is the villain that Mass Effect 3 deserves, AND the one it desperately needs right now.

One last time, from the top...

.............ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL.

*tearful salute*

Goodbye Harbinger
Though I never knew you at all
You had the grace to hold yourself
While those around you crawled
They crawled out of the woodwork
And they whispered into your brain
They set you on the treadmill
And they made you change your name

And it seems to me you lived your life
Like a candle in the wind
Never knowing who to cling to
When the rain set in
And I would have liked to have known you
But I was just a kid
Your candle burned out long before
Your legend ever did
Loneliness was tough
The toughest role you ever played
Hollywood created a superstar
And pain was the price you paid
Even when you died
Oh the press still hounded you
All the papers had to say
Was that Marilyn was found in the nude

Goodbye Harbinger
Though I never knew you at all
You had the grace to hold yourself
While those around you crawled

Goodbye Harbinger
From the young man in the 22nd row
Who sees you as something more than sexual
More than just our Marilyn Monroe

I always thought there would be a mission inside Harbinger, much like the Derelict Reaper in ME2. Oh well.

I avoided all of this by not becoming attached to plot elements that even a blind man could see would've been something to follow up on. I'm totally ok with some jerk Kai Leng taking over the reigns of "ultimate bad guy" from the giant evil space squid that melts people down because I also didn't care about anything that happened in ME2. [/sarcasm]
