Won' t this new dlc just make the ending harder to swallow for a lot of people?

I mean there seems to be heavy emphasis on this DLC with hanging out with your squadmates, and even more romantic content. Which would be fantastic, if it weren't going to be overshadowed by the ending. How many people are gonna be having emotional moments with their bro/li in this DLC, and then thoughts of the ending pop in the back of your mind?

I know i would. To me, this is just gonna make things the ending even harder to deal with than it already is.

Yeah, or the whole "I get to furnish an apartment -- that's going to blow up" aspect as well.

esent.

Tell me, do you find hanging out with your friends pointless and sad because you are going to die someday?

That's also true.

If I knew *how* and *when* I was going to die, I might. I don't know.

So you want to have a happy ending. Otherwise nothing you did matters. Sorry to break it down to you but you and your loved ones will die some day too in real life. Get over it.

Maybe Shep's apartment will survive the destruction.
Only to be looted after said destruction. Probably.

Damn straight it does. Getting to hang out with Zaeed one last time may be goddamn worth it though.

Then again, playing the game again makes the ending harder to swallow. You figure almost a year has gone by, and I despise this game a lot. Fourth play through though (it's basically like watching the Canucks or the Walking Dead, you pray it gets better) and most of the lines just feel incredibly cheesy. ****in' Kasumi.

On another note, it's getting kind of fun reading all the people who like the game and the DLC's. They're pissed off at all the complaints that have been going on for nearly a year, and I don't blame them.
I really wish I could be them.

For a lot of people yes...which is just really kind of dumb when they play the "because we already know how it ends" card. Really? Because every game I've ever completed I've come to know how it ends too, that's the point of playing the game.

What's the point of enjoying anything in a game because you've beaten it? By that logic no game with a story has ever had any replayability and we've wasted our time replaying our favorite games because we know how it ends.

For me Shepard's journey is over. It's been over for nearly a year. This DLC isn't supposed to be about what happens after the game's canon events. We as the player have already completed the journey, for us it has ended. That's what this DLC is about, to give the player one last great memory of the trilogy. People can't see it and so they will moan.

Sheep, drone, fanboy, whatever you want to call people like me who will enjoy this DLC like they enjoyed Leviathan and Omega, it doesn't matter. The one who has the most fun is always the winner.

If I get the DLC, I'll probably just load up my only Mass Effect 3 Shepard, play it, and then pretend the game ends right there and stop playing.

I like this human. He understands.

Though it's Miranda for me. And my Shepard will come back from the dead one more time after the end. Why? Because it's my timeline and I control what will happen. After all, he did it once, why not again? I've written about it, it's as real to me as the epilogue.

I haven't bought any of the Story DLC for this reason. One does nothing except let you save Wrex if you sabotaged the Genophage and the other is a glorified side quest.

Hey well congrats on missing the point once again. Because Shepard dying is the single only reason the ending is so hated right? Oh but I don't know why i'm telling you that, i'm sure someone like you has been told 100 times already.

Thanks, thought so too :P.

I meant it seriously. The endings are what they are. I wholeheartedly hate them and I wish I could slowly strangle the starbrat while he's spitting his cr*p. Anyways, nothing is gonna change them.
I only hope that this last DLC somewhat justifies BW's advertisement so I can have fun one more time and make it my last mission. And Wreeeex!!!!!

The ending's been the way it's been for so long. If people haven't gotten over it by now then they never will.

For me, this DLC is welcome because it provides a lot of what's been missing in ME3. Namely, the some of the comraderie that was supposed to have been built up from ME2. BW made a lot of stupid narrative and plot choices in ME3 (eg: building up then basically discarding the ME2 squaddies), so this DLC will hopefully help make up for some of that.

The ending as we have it now does invalidate most everything we end up doing, but again, it's been this way for about a year now. Short of adding a new ending choice or otherwise completely overhauling the entire ending sequence, nothing will change that. For me, there's still the other 80-90% of the game that is worth squeezing the last bit of fun out of.

Yeah man, I just want to hang out with Zaeed, Grunt, Kasumi, and Miranda. May be the only DLC for ME3 that has true replayability to me (not sure how much EC and From Ashes count). Zaeed and I playing some scillian five poker and solving mysteries!

Hey, I'm not the one crying for almost an year about a video game. I'm just stating facts. Speaking of which, if the whiners could take the hint after EC (I.E: We will not release any more ending content) we would not be having this conversation right now. But oh, I don't know why i'm telling you that, i'm sure someone like you has been told 100 times already.

Not for me.

In EC Destroy things turn out well enough. Shepard kills the reapers and survives. It's just that the ending does the bare minimum in terms of providing closure.

I think the new DLC is going to be great and so, at worst, it'll make EC Destroy a bit more half-hearted than it already is.

But seeing the ME2 cast again makes up for that.

Pretty much how I feel about this.  I'm quite excited for this DLC and to spend more time with the characters.  Maybe if I'm lucky, I can work this after MEHEM after seeing what the content is for a future run.
