If I get the DLC, I'll probably just load up my only Mass Effect 3 Shepard, play it, and then pretend the game ends right there and stop playing.
I suspect that's what a lot of people are going to do, and I'm sure that EA's tracking will show that. When it comes time to lay down money for 4, they shouldn't be surprised if many players take a wait and see position. The next step will be trying to ban people from posting it on Youtube. Oh, and I can already smell microtransactions to furnish SimCitadel, just so it can be blown up.

Watch him get lift, barrier, and carnage, and end up being about as useful (mechanically speaking) in a party as Jacob. Or worse, get charge and act about as smart with it as Grunt in ME2, or your average MP novaguard.Uncle Jo wrote...

In particular hub worlds and talking to team members, that was among the best part of mass effect that was crippled in the 3rd game.

I disagree, ME3 had some of the best squad interaction in the trilogy. It far surpasses the walking textbooks of ME1.

Because I want to? I'm perfectly able to voice my distaste in a game trilogy I spent nearly 7 years loving only to get that rubbish that is ME3. So that isn't gonna work on me.

because thats the point of the argument, to talk to characters that you as the player know are going to die at a particular time (even shepard) does wreck it.
There is no mystery, I hang out with my friends because i know I am going to die but I don't know when!
When is the mystery, and makes life and even games worth living/playing.

You have to go back and forwards from Citadel in ME3. So hanging out there once in a while actually makes sense as does helping a few people along the way who are effected by the war. However hanging out at some other obscure hub world would make no sense at all. I like how Mass Effect 3 was done as there was no messing around. You had a war to fight and you went and fought it. You only went to the locations that mattered and you didn't stop to pick up ever little teddy bear a child dropped along the way.

arguing that the citadel was the only placed that mattered is pushing it, I am not sure we played the same game there was a lot of teddy bear picking (fetch quests) as I remember it.Nykara wrote...

they could have been creative, go to illium to get asari support, go to a palaven war-zone (as a hub) and get turian support as well as see the effect on war on the people.
missed opportunties, but rectified with 15 dollar dlc, its a dodgy business practice.

well this is philosphical, because we are speaking in terms of life. So I am going back to talk about the game.
Shepard as a character does not know hes going to die, but we as the player do. This is the disconnect.
theres a scene in leviathan where shepard says "the leviathans are vital for our war effort" we as the player know this is not the case, hence it reminds us the pointlessness of not only the mission but the cause.
P.S. Just had a thought, Live life to the fullest at the price of 15 DLC!!!!

eterna is right .. the squad interaction WAS better than in any other game before.
sadly, the script and everything from cronos onward is an insult (storytelling and gameplay wise).
