Why are Wrex, Liara, and Vega dressed up formally in the new pic but Shep isn't?

Look at this pic... It's been posted every where

Image IPB

Everyone in this shot is dressed in formal wear like they are going to a big party or ceremony of some kind. You can' make out Liara's outfit, but her gloves from the normal game are missing.

WHY WOULD WREX EVER GET DRESSED UP? I mean....it's Wrex, he's kinda gruff and wouldn't do that for jsut any reason.

But the biggest question is why would Shep not be dressed like the rest of them?

Conjecture...speculations....continue.

Because they're his slaves while Shep is the boss and could walk there in nothing but pants. Ha!

Seriously though, just put your Shep in one of the suits, admiral uniforms or leather jacket. Shep already has tons of formal stuff to pick from for cutscenes, no need for more IMO. We need more armors

And Wrex definitely looks like he's doing the talking. It reminds me of Kasumi's DLC with the dinner party/James Bond vibe.

I hope Wrex makes a comment about his clothes.

"I hate parties. And I miss my armor. And my guns."
"Wrex..."
"Shepard."
"Wrex."

Because Shepard only dresses up if a hot Japanese girl tells him to. Other than that, he can't be bothered.

Because it's up to the player what Shepard wears, although it is strange that there isn't new formal attire for Shepard, it seems. Oh well, Dress Blues it is.

Holy ****! I just realized that James is wearing a shirt with sleeves that cover his forearms. What does this mean?

Hey, if you are boss / business owner / badass Spectre that always gets the job done, you can show up for work with wearing just T-Shirt and shorts while your underlings are still obliged to wear decent attire =p

... Or that's just mainly their default pic showing default Shep wearing his default casual wear. Players can probably switch the outfit to Formal Alliance Suit if they want to

Because someone forgot to say to Shepard there was a FORMAL party thrown on his name.

He probably didn't bought it though, since Wrex is in it.

It means that "Big and Tall" stores still exist several centuries into the future.

Well, I believe Shepard's birthday is in March? To lazy to look it up, but it might say in the codex.
Anyway, could be a surprise party, for Shep, by her friends. In which case they dressed up for Shep.

All we have is 'head-canon' but we will know for sure in 4 days!

That's not a bad guess actually.

The person who played through this didn't set their casual outfit. Personally I would use the N7 Jacket in a case like this.

Because... that's the casual clothes the one who took the screenshot put on Shep?

Pfft. That's just crazy. Must be ending related.

Kasumi's suit was a reskin (it was one of the uniforms or something).

I can't tell for sure, but Vega's looks like a custom body. It seems far too bulky to be the standard male model (though perhaps it's just clever texture work).

So... That's what a Krogan "Armani" suit looks like?

Kind of makes me think of an Asari politician visiting their Human counter part, spots a hand painted painting of the politician.. Then she's told it was painted by a tallented artist.
The Asari tries to comission the artist but it get's lost in the overflowing mailboxes or spamfilters... Then 30+ yers later an Asari assistant asks when they can get an appointment, they are still waiting for a reply!
Human painter: Oh... In 2 weeks?
Asari assistant: Good we should be able to fit that into the presidents callendar! 32 years 4 months and 2 weeks sounds reasonable, we had this asari scuptor who couldn't book an appoint ment for the next 83 years! But when you want the best it takes a little time.
Human painter: ummm yeah, I guess so... Anyway it will be an honor, did we discuss the pay btw?
Asari assistant: I can't see any notes on a stated agreement but Master Artists doing personal works for head of states range from between 8-10 million Credits.
Human painter: 8 mil... I mean, that should do it, if you can arrange for it.
Asari assistant: Done! So, Tuesday in two weeks? How much time do you think you will need?
Human painter: Art can't be rushed, it will be finished when it's finished.
Asari assistant: Ofcourse, it will be a pleasure having you here, I'll arrange for suitable living quarters for your stay with us. If you need anything else let us know.
Human painter: I'll bring my own materials and equipment, don't worry.
Asari assistant: Of course, we're looking forward to have you visiting us.

The call ends, and the humble painter starts jumping with joy! Someone is actualy prepared to pay him good money for his art while he's still alive! "Now I'll finaly be able to pay of all those debts and loans!.... But what was all that talk about years?... "

Cultural differences FTW!
