I love how many don't realize that the thread title is a reference to the song "Tribute" by Tenacious D (aka Jack Black's band).

That said, in this little flame war occurring here, reputation is just as good as proof in situations like these. It's basically saying you wouldn't believe a guy giving out the correct numbers for the lottery week, simply because you don't know how he's getting his information. Nevermind that every week said numbers are right on the money.

Really though, I don't think that's the main reason people are so mad. In pretty much every topic I see you in, you're being needlessly argumentative, to the point where people can't help but call you out on it. Hell, the fact that you got BroJo to outright tell you to just quit playing the game should have informed you of that if you really don't understand why your very presence seems to incite flame wars.

FFS man, I gave you a goddamned roadmap to get out of this, and you're missing the point entirely.  For someone who's taken the intellectual high-horse position so much in the past, it really shouldn't be that hard to see the way out. 

Be flippant all you want, but this is going to go one of three ways:

1) You conduct yourself in a way that makes it no longer fun for these people to heckle you (i.e. either swallow your pride and say something moderately conciliatory, or just stop responding);

2) Do your best to get a bunch of people banned and succeed, in which case you'll never be taken seriously at all.  Being shunned on teh internets is not the worst fate in life, but the fact that you post with such frequency indicates you value your contributions to the community; or

3) Do your best to get a bunch of people banned and fail due to the mods' opinion that this doesn't rise to the threshold of harassment, in which case every thread you make from here on will turn out the same.  


P.S. For what it's worth, I liked the reference in the title.

I didn't start the derailment and I never meant to talk ****. But when OTS had some information and gave it to us at a time when this board was getting extremely negative in regards to new content, it is completely uncalled for for some one to tell him he's full of ****. And I also did point out the fact that OTS holds nothing against the walrus. Maturity is being responsible and honing up to your mistakes, and the crude insult was a mistake. I don't agree with all the apology beggars, but it should be pointed out that some of them are known for their trolling in good humor, and I wouldn't be surprised if Annomander is drunk as hell right now.

if you want true derailment, we could bring statistics into this.
