I wasn't planning on buying this DLC in the first place anyway, tbh. Such a shame, as well, because I've been waiting so long for a DLC, just the wait was too long, and I lost interest. :/

I do actually regret putting up this post because other than a handful of replies (including yours) I have seen nothing but people who are willing to buy this dlc just in spite towards me. It really is sad when others are willing to see you fail than to succeed together.

Let's take this apart:

1) This is a spat over a video game, not a human rights violation.

2) Fans already took collective action on the ending a year ago and got as many concessions as reasonably possible. It was made very clear at the time that the EC was all we were going to get.

3) Not everyone agrees with you. In fact, it looks like you're in the minority here.

So stop pretending that you're Emma Goldman rallying the workers or some crap like that. You're complaining that other people aren't sacrificing something they want in support of a hopeless and rather petty cause that they're really bored of hearing about, assuming they support it at all.

No one is buying anything to spite you. The fact that you'll feel spited (is that a word?) is just a bonus.

Probably. Though the irationality is hard to ignore most times when it's shoved in your face visiting the forums every time.

What are you talking about? You choose to visit the BSN, you choose to read the titles of forum posts and most importantly, you choose to open up said threads and reply to the OP.

No one is forcing any of this on you and after almost a year, you should *expect* some ending related butthurt threads every time you log in to the BSN.

Just ignore it. It's not that hard and it's most certainly not "shoved in your face".

But it happens in every thread. It's not like I can just close my eyes and use the forces to find threads that don't have anything to do with the ending.

And even when I find one, someone has to start some **** and start proclaiming how much bioware sucks and how the ending needs dlc.

You know how annoying that is? My options to stick around and discuss mass effect have been widdled down to either having to shift through hundreds of post proclaiming how something I like is **** and I should feel bad for liking it. Or try to talk about mass effect in the off-topic thread, which doesn't work since most people don't want to talk about ME3 in that thread because they're sick and tired of the BSN bull**** as well. And the MP thread is for MP talk only and single player discussions get locked, same with the general thread.

I actually want to talk about mass effect and not just use it as a soap box to proclaim how sad and angry I am and how bad my life is now. And yet it seems I'm the one who needs to leave the thread that is designed to talk about mass effect.

And the irationality I was refering to was the fact that the BSN was told, multiple times, that there would not be a new ending, and still act like there was going to be a new ending and that this dlc is or was going to have it and that bioware somehow betrayed their word on changing the ending.

That's not true, when i was discussing about who the new enemy could be in that thread I mentioned nothing about the ending and neither did anybody else on there. I speculated and debated for sure. If you want to talk about a certain aspect of the ME universe then start a post and focus only on that.

And i'm sorry if people cannot move on from the ending, but it will linger for years and that truly is Bioware's fault. I have already acknowledged that there will be no more ending dlc, i hoped that there would be, but once they decided this is final i stopped and i never felt betrayed, just dissapointed.

I am just thinking long term, video games will be ruined by companies like EA and Activision. I guess i will just have to grow up and forget video game altogether. Too bad i love them.

@ SyK18 If this DLC doesn't change the ending in anyway, i will join you in not buying this slap to the face from Bioware.

This logic is not logic at all. You knew months ahead of time that this dlc would not address the ending. It has been told to you numerous times. A child would have comprehended that we will not be getting ending dlc by this point. And yet you still claim that somehow this dlc will be ending related, and will be angry at bioware if it does not change the ending, despite being told flat out that it won't.

This isn't a slap to the face, this is you calling someone giving you a gift you don't like a slap in the face. In other words, a parallel to the infamous sweet 16 show where a spoiled brat claimed her party was ruined becasue her parents gave her a fully functioning blue luxury car instead of a red one.

You go out and BUY your own gifts?

This is no gift!!

It's a plain-simple "jimmy-jingling" kick to the crotch!!

It's rather cheap to blame Bioware for the failings of the community.

Wait,  it was the COMMUNITY'S failure concerning ME3s ending?   You've GOT to be joking.  *sigh*  you're probably not.

Thing is I actually really enjoyed Leviathan, I thought the EC significantly improved the ending, and I'm excited about the Citadel DLC.  To refuse to buy it is just depriving myself of fun content for a cause  that is A) futile and B) was already reasonably addressed by Bioware in the form of the EC.  I can take or leave Omega, but I wouldn't call it so bad it deserved boycotting.  Pinaccle Station sure.  Omega, not so much.

I got over the ending. It still hurts, but I can play the story again. I'll buy the DLC, but I can see why others wouldn't.

Does that really make much of a difference in the end?  If I wait three days to buy it?  Plus as I'm up to my ears in schoolwork, it's just as likely I have an assignment or something that day and won't be able to get to it anyway.

How is it that? Did they say they're changing the ending with the citadel dlc and than whip the rug out from under you? Did they promise you that it would affect the ending before the announcement at any point? Did they ever, at any point, say this would have anything to do with the ending?

They've been pretty honest on this point, so I don't see how it is an insult, or a kick to the nuts, or anything of the sort.

If you hate the ending, hate the ending. Don't pretend this dlc is the ending and vent all over it.

Is it's rude to tell people to stop smoking because it might kill them?   Maybe theres a really obese person playing this game and you want to save them from experiencing the ending so they dont have a heart attack.   How about then?

Actually yea it does. It shows Bioware that we as fans will not just jump on anything they throw at us. Gamers need to be in control, not the game developers. Without us they are nothing.

1. appeal to emotion fallacy (seriously to use human rights to bolster your opinion is pretty low)

2.) your mostly correct, however bioware have said statements that are not true before

3.) argumentum ad populum

Yes. I'd be pretty pissed if some random dude came over to me and "told" me to put the cigarette out for my own safety. Stick to your own business, bro.
