Well, I'm sure none of you will download the dlc in protest then. Shame on Bioware for trying to do something that would please the fan base with the last dlc.

LMFAO
That sounds so incredible to you? Again LMFAO

Oh, you like LMFAO? Yeah, they're a great band. Go ahead, then, don't download it. Enjoy sucking on your sour grapes.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's a threat? AHAHAHAHAHAH
You made my day, thanks :D

No, that's not a threat. I don't threaten people over the internet or potentially interpret peoples' differences of opinions as a threat over the internet. You'd have to be a very foolish person to think that way.

Yeah, sorry, you're right :D

I'm glad we've reached this amiable conclusion. By the way, I should probably state that I'm clinically incapable of interpeting sarcasm. I was diagnosed with that disability at birth and, well, medication can only help so much.

Kbomb to answer your second question. Because it seems like I can't just like something anymore. I have to avoid it because of someones BS political opinion. Boycott this boycott that f+ck you. I work 12 hours a day. I can only play on my days off. If I want something im going to buy it and I don't give a s+it if you don't like it. My 15 dollars isn't going to change the gaming world. I like Mass Effect. I want the new DLC. Quit telling me how to spend my money.

Nonsense. You can like whatever you wish and spend your money on whatever you wish. What do you mean you have to avoid something because of someone else's opinion, political or not? That is asinine. No one if forcing you to boycott anything and if you're that easily influenced, I would suggest not reading threads or posts that refer, request or mention anything that goes against your opinion.

It doesn't matter if all of the BSN messaged you with a budget plan and demanded you follow it, you don't have to. Do you get this upset outside of the internet when these sort of things pop up in your life?

I bought both the other Single Player DLC's except the weapon ones.

Prothean is good, but I consider that a part of the main game.

Leviathan and Omega got boring.

This DLC has the characters in it that I know and love, so that is a must buy.

Kbomb you misunderstand me. I simply take offence to anyone telling me what I should like and buy. When Omega came out someone told me if I didn't boycott it I was a dumb a55. This in a thread written about how excited the OP was to get it. Yes I used some harsh language in my reply. It was not directed at you nor did I insult you or anyone else who wanted to debate a boycott. I'm just tired of being insulted because I like Mass Effect.

I can understand people not buying things they don't like or try to make statements through what little power they weild in this world such as their hard earned "cake"...

Me personally I am greatly interested in this DLC and the MEU so I will buy it, enjoy it and say goodbye to it.

You shouldn't take offense and the insulting goes both ways. In fact, looking back, you threw insults first. This thread was made just so the OP could have someone challenge his opinion. No other reason. That seems to be the thing for both side of the coin--the problem isn't that they have different opinions, it's about having a different opinion and the desperate need to have others validate it.

You like ME3 and you'll buy their dlc, that is all that should matter. You shouldn't get so upset if he thinks you shouldn't buy it. In his opinion, the video game industry is failing due to consumers buying substandard games and dlc, therefore encouraging poor writing, etc. It's his opinion that if people stopped buying substandard products and took a stand, they would be forced to improve the quality of games. Debating isn't telling someone, "I am going to buy it and if you don't like it you can go f' yourself." lol A simple, "Okay, that is your opinion. I don't agree." Then move on. Trust me, people can only ruin your experience here if you let them. Don't let them. That was my point.

If you ignored the ending entirely in terms of what fans would want...this is a character focused DLC. That's always drove Mass Effect. The characters.

I'm definitely excited for it.

I do agree to an extent. Yes Mass Effect was always driven by its interesting character. Shepard, Joker, Tali, Saren, Harbinger, Thane...ALL OF THEM!! I liked learning about the other species in the ME universe. I am a sci fi fan, and have watched Star Trek, Stargate, Battlestar Galactica, Star Wras and many others.

The thing is though I have always loved episodes where the would discover something new, investigate, have a conflict (action scene) resolve the issue all with banter within the characters and connections with each other. But the episodes that focus on just the characters and the problems they face and conversations that last for ages tend to get a bit boring. In one episode they have a variety of things while in the other its just talking.

I just think that the character banter and relationships, especially during what is going on througout the whole game, should not be on the top of the list. The story should flow seamlessly. The momentum should build. Conflicts should occur (wheter it is gunfights or between squadmates) and then the main conflict should be resolved completly (wheter happy or sad). If the focus is just on character interaction, then the rest will just fade away. I just guess others have different priorities in a game as wonderful as Mass Effect. I just hope they can make ALL thier fans happy next time.

for 15$? No thank you. I've bought Skyrim for 15$.

Did you buy it new for 15$?

Or the skyrim dlc's?

No, I've bought it when it just came out, a week or two after release date, on a disc. I doubt citadel DLC will have as much content. Now that I think about it, Skyrim also has ability to furnish living quarters.

I have found that majority of people who go on the internet to review something or discuss something, are the ones who have something negative to say. When people finished Mass Effect 3, a lot of them came here to the forums. Some were already flipping out about the endings, some were just upset, and some were confused(such as I). Opinions were easily influenced by the negative posters. Soon the opinion of ending became the entire view of the game. More and more flaws were purposely sought out to justify the reasoning behind why Mass Effect 3 is a crap game. This opinion of the game became the majority from those who come to these forums to talk about it. Most who are fine with the game don't bother coming on these forums at all, others try to voice their own positive opinion but it is always shot down by the haters. Therefore, those with a negative view of the game will not be happy with anything BioWare puts out. Even if it is exactly what they ask for. They already have their mindset on what they think about anything Mass Effect 3 related, and will go to any lengths to find flaws and reasons as to why it sucks.

That is why there are so many downers telling us "This DLC will suck".

Anyways, I will be buying this dlc. And there is little chance I won't enjoy it.

Erm, do you realise what you did there? You criticised people who just decide to automatically and irrationally hate everything ME3-related (a valid criticism IMO) but then you followed it up by showing that you've pretty much already decided that you will like it, even though you haven't seen it! Isn't that the same flaw, just in the opposite direction?

All we have right now is a DLC description that sounds pretty awesome, but we should have all learned by now not take PR at face value. I'm waiting for the DLC to come out. I'll look at reviews (and mabe a bit of youTube) and if it seems worth it I will buy it and hopefully enjoy it.

And for the record (to the OP) I considered Omega to be "not worth the price" and only bought Leviathan because I got it on offer for a quid. But if this DLC is as good as it sounds I would definitely consider buying it at full price.

I will and I will continue to support Bioware for the years of gaming they have provided me. I got no shame in saying that either. Some people seem to forget the KOTOR days or Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights series. So a few more bucks out of my pocket for the joy they have brought me since I was 16 years old...I'm in!

I hope you're as generous to charities as you are to corporations!

The point Kev is trying to make is of a longer picture in the future of video gaming. None of you are interested in his pov, or mine, because you think he is attacking your right to want, play, like and enjoy the Citadel DLC.

You are all wrong. He is trying to state, just like I have been, if you can refrain from buying this dlc, whether it is spectacular or a bitter dissapointment, to show Bioware that we will not just settle for just anything. We want something that will exceed in creativity all your previous games and dlc. And I know a lot of you have been saying "but this is what we all asked for" and this might be the wrong time to do this whole boycott deal. But i really think that this will send them a message for future titles and other companies to realize that "we will take a stand against this type of dlc".

We should not HAVE to pay for "character interaction" like this. If we give in so much, we will be digging a hole for gamers everywhere. And if you choose to buy it, feel free, nobody is stopping you.

You have a brain, its your money, and I truly hope for those of you who wanted this are happy and satisfied with it at the end. But Kev and I and a select few will try to take a stand for the future of gaming. You might think this is a wasted attempt but I believe its something.

If I have not clarified your point Kev' do let me know. The rest of you, I really can't explain it further.

This is very well put SyK18. You've actually made me think twice about buying it now, even if it does turn out to be good.

Kbomb. Ryoten and ohupthis spent the first two pages of this thread bashing those who want the new DLC. My comments where ment for them. However KevShep, SyK18 and I had a civil debate about a boycott. In the end we all agreed to disagree. But your right I did blow my stack. I guess I finally let a entire year of insults and bs get to me. I love Mass Effect 3. I never blindly defended the game but I never bit+hed about it either. I guess I'm just not as angry as everyone else was. I view petitions and boycotts as petty. I'm glad BioWare gave us a longer more in depth ending. But the boycott of The Old Republic cost my friend his job and he didn't even work on Mass Effect 3.

I wonder if we will see more of Thane in this DLC. I hope so I thought he was awesome. I think this DLC will make the Citadel as large if not larger then it was in Mass Effect.

Dragon Claw. I thought it was awesome I got to use a Dead Space style N7 suit in Dead Space 3. I didn't have to pay for it either.
