I've bought every single piece of DLC for all 3 of the games, weapon packs, SP addons, alternate outfits. All of it, I'll be damned if I miss this one.
And you liked every single one of them? I personally like Shadow Broker and Bring Down the Sky.

I suspect it'll be a great DLC but Im never buying a Bioware product at launch thanks in part to DA2 and ME3 . Its a matter of quality insurance for me at this point. *crosses fingers*

Yes, I will buy this DLC, too. I am looking forward to it very much.
Looking over the history of ME3 SP DLC, I can only observe that it has been very good, and had a tendency to add significantly to the experience of the whole game.
As for DLC and marketing concerns, the only thing I actively resent is how From Dust was ripped from the game, because it's rather obvious and Javik provides critical context for the main plot (I have no idea how Bioware representatives can deny that and expect to remain credible). I recognize that the EC and Leviathan should've been part of the original game, but I also recognize the economical pressure high-budget video games are made under, and that the likely alternative of "filling blanks in the story with DLC" is not "filling all blanks in the original game" but "not filling the blanks at all". Also, put things into perspective: ME3 is about 30 hours long. That's rather good in comparison with many other games, given the quality of the content.
So I'll act as usual when making a decision to buy DLC: I'll buy it if the original game is enjoyale and the DLC sounds interesting. ME3 is enjoyable and the Citadel DLC sounds very interesting and it will most likely feature things I've always wanted.

Syk18 if you and Kev don't want to buy the DLC that's your decision. But don't sit there and call for a boycott in the hopes that you will somehow tell or show BioWare something because they are going to make their money anyway. People want this and they will get it. Your hold the wallet thread pissed me off because I feel like I just can't like the game anymore. BioWare is evil you shouldn't buy the new DLC because they screwed us over. Not everyone buys into that.

The point Kev is trying to make is of a longer picture in the future of video gaming. None of you are interested in his pov, or mine, because you think he is attacking your right to want, play, like and enjoy the Citadel DLC.
You are all wrong. He is trying to state, just like I have been, if you can refrain from buying this dlc, whether it is spectacular or a bitter dissapointment, to show Bioware that we will not just settle for just anything. We want something that will exceed in creativity all your previous games and dlc. And I know a lot of you have been saying "but this is what we all asked for" and this might be the wrong time to do this whole boycott deal. But i really think that this will send them a message for future titles and other companies to realize that "we will take a stand against this type of dlc".
We should not HAVE to pay for "character interaction" like this. If we give in so much, we will be digging a hole for gamers everywhere. And if you choose to buy it, feel free, nobody is stopping you.
You have a brain, its your money, and I truly hope for those of you who wanted this are happy and satisfied with it at the end. But Kev and I and a select few will try to take a stand for the future of gaming. You might think this is a wasted attempt but I believe its something.
If I have not clarified your point Kev' do let me know. The rest of you, I really can't explain it further.
Yes, but my point is you seem to be taking a stand against what could be the best dlc for this game. If you were to boycott anything in ME3, it should have been much earlier than now.
Try a week, a day at least. I mean its not that hard for every ME fan to say "I've waited this long, it's just another day" Just try something.
Sorry, I can't boycott something for a cause I might not agree with. How do I know I won't love this? And why would I boycott something that I love?
I love Mass Effect and Iam boycotting it. They need to do alot of work and TLC in order for them to reclaim there lost fan base.

We are not calling for a boycott if you dont want one. It...does...not...apply... to you then.
If you havent noticed all of our games are going down hill because devs do not have to put so much work into there games because people will still buy them...its called EA!
The problem is that as long as people will pay for anything the more our games are going to lack.
If we dont expect from them to go above and beyond then they will not do it...period.

I recently played Dead Space 3. A EA title. One of the best games I have ever played. I couldn't put it down. Very well done. If I had my way EA and Viceral Games would do Aliens or Aliens vs. Predator.
Off topic: Absolutely. I love the Dead Space series, and Visceral should definitely try their hand at an Alien game.
On topic: I might buy it, need more info first though.

Being in sales I found this article the other day and to me it was eye opening. Took me all of 2 seconds to draw a comparison to EA and their falling stock price as well as their struggles over the past year or two.
When firms see their sole purpose as making a profit, they tend to view their customers as objects. “Customers are no longer human beings,” says McLeod. “they are anonymous targets and prospects whose sole purpose is to help the company make money. That kind of language creates a culture that says, we don’t exist to do something for our customers; customers exist to do something for us. People no longer care about helping customers; they just want to make money off them. When the customer becomes nothing more than a number, you become nothing more than a number to the customer—and the entire organization suffers.”
..........................
Selling with noble purpose is not about ignoring profits. But profits are a result, not the goal. Overemphasizing profit puts people, products, promotion, and process goals at risk.
EA has gotten so focused on how to capitalize and exploit every single sort of transaction that they've stopped trying to develop true quality games. It's all about what they can "sell" to gamers and in turn what they can then sell to their current and potential investors. Usually I wouldn't care but the fact of the matter is they have enough money to get their hands on enough IP's and human capital that they'll continue to do damage to the gaming industry as a whole on their current track.
