Doing insanity run and trying it mostly in realtime (without shift), in ME2 I remapped 5-8 to YXCV But because I also play MP, not sure if I shall do that in ME3 too.

a) Is it possible to define the Squad power for q and e?
B) Why is key T reserved?
c) is there a trick to have different keymappings for MP and SP?

Also I use the Avenger and Predator so the video sequences do make sense, this is just a shame. How was bioware able to use the right armor but not the equiped weapons?

Hehe, as MP Gold player, insanity SP feels much easier as I played SP almost a year ago on normal difficulty. ;-)

I'm bumping this thread.

I don't know about mapping abilities on the PC.

I'm not sure why "T" is reserved, maybe a holdover from
console related coding.  Regardless, on PC you can use
autohotkey (www.autohotkey.com) to remap T, or any
other key.  You'll have to learn how to write autohotkey
scripts, but it's very worthwhile.  You can use autohotkey
to get around key remapping problems for anything.

Personally I find it much easier having squad powers assigned to my mouse.

If you don't have a mouse with side buttons I recommend you do... It's made things like this so much better, as I don't have to rely on my left hand to press 15+ keys, now my left hand is used for 9-11 keys.

I didn't want 12 buttons that are super small on the side of my mouse (MMO style)... in the end the Razer Nega Hex was perfect and I do not regret buying it.

Slots 1-6 are now on the Mouse and 7 and 8 are q and e (Mapped to Medigel and Grenade powers usually).

T is mapped to Text Chat, which was a feature that was going to be implemented for PC, but was dropped. I have to set to Use...

You cannot define what the squad uses when you press Q or E. They use the most "appropriate" power for the selected target based on the powers they have points invested in. Sometimes they are correct, many times they don't know what they are doing.

I don't know if there is any trick for different mapping between SP and MP, outside of external programs that modify the binding. I don't know why you need a separate setup, as I have remapped all of the quick slots above 4.

5 - Mouse Thumb 2
6 - Left Control
7 - G (this was done specifically for MP for reload canceling)
8 - Mouse Thumb 1

I've changed my key map completely around. I've got two side buttons on my mouse, plus the mouse wheel is a third, clickable button (besides scrolling), so I have hotkeys 1-3 assigned to my mouse. 4 is Tab, 5 is Caps lock, 6, 7, and 8 are set to 1,2,3 respectively. (This was done for multiplayer, so my powers are activated by my mouse, and I don't have to reach for 5-8 for rockets, medigel, ammo, etc.)

This set up shortens the distance any one finger has to travel to reach any hotkey. Makes no-pause gameplay a good bit easier.

Q and E placed on enemy automatically uses power that counter enemy defenses.
