If you need more people to play with I have some room on my friends list
still. Playing with pugs can frustrating for many reasons. No reason
for a BSNer to go without teammates.

BACON4BREAKFAST

Play gold/platinum or glacier speedruns.

*Ah I thought you were PC. I don't play the xbox version anymore :/

You just broke the rainbow

IS THAT BETTER?

People are stupid - This is about the only way to sum it up.

I tend to flip moments like these on them going "It's okay, it wasn't your fault that a particular event in your life changed your perspective of how people should treat others." and just keep following it up with apologetic responses like "It's not your fault" or whatever. I actually managed to get one person to crack and start saying sorry to me. I actually made a friend out of it lol

Small minds create small talk, your obviously alot smartter and better than that type of behavouir stand above it and let the pathetic people rot in their own misery. Theres probably a reason other than the "saftey" of the internet they need to put down people, i tend to smile, because soon has people insult you without knowing you, you are already above them.

Some of my best friends are gay and to use it to see yourself is different is wrong brother. Your choices are yours, never let people talk you down, the fact they trying to drag you down is because you are already above them. Stand tall, and play with people older than 12 bro.

Tough game to be in; surprised you didn't deliver an ultimatum to them (e.g. "Quit the abuse, or I leave). Perhaps you might, if you're unlucky enough to experience the same thing again, consider this. It empowers you and allows you to leave with dignity intact, while, at the same time, has an element of learning for abusive dimwits.

Put it behind you--and go get yourself some creds ;-)

A place you can lead them, its a technical wonder.
In it they'll find what's coming to them, not a tear will be shed.
Right before you introduce them, be sure to foreshadow with a laugh.

Look no further for retribution, its just a push away.
Others might not understand, but from here they'll never need to.
Console yourself with the results, its only fitting their reward.
Kick some tail without them, they'll be floating home.

^ Always remember, Javik gets it right when it comes to problem solving.

More meanies on the net - go figure, put your big boy pants on OP. Yea it sucks but its not going to stop in the foreseeable future.

I wasn't really upset, I'm not from the most tolerant place around, I'm used to this sort of crap. I'm just disappointed it continues to haunt me in my sanctuary, which are videogames.

I feel as though the term douche bag fits them well.

Well, I hope you never play CoD lol

Yeah, not really a CoD fan lol, I probably wouldn't even be into the multiplayer if it wasn't Mass Effect.

There was a time I could have written your last paragraph - I've found being a female can be daunting on xbox live. Luckily I've made some great friends on there and I no longer feel like I have to hide who I am by turning the mic off, which is great since I happen to think I'm pretty awesome.

Feel free to add me if you'd like (totally up to you), gt: LOLephants. Mostly gold, generally goofing around, often boozing.

I'm sorry you had to go through that, Eterna5. That's a really horrible thing to happen to a person. :(

I'm sorry to hear that, my good man.

I remember this guy I played a match or four with. Great guy and a great team player. His voice was rather raspy given, according to his explaination, one of his vocal cords didn't work properly. If I recall correct someone made a smart remark about that prior to his explaination.

...Personally I think he sounded like a Turian, and he was playing a turian, so it was pretty groovy.

...Also people sometimes call me Sir Reginald because I get bored and start speaking rather...Knightly, to put it poorly.

The next time people harass you on Xbox Live, just take your headset off of your head, lay it across your computer speakers, and play this song on full volume. Keep it on until the extraction wave (or until it dissolves their brains, whichever happens first), then put your headset back on and enjoy the rest of the match without the burden of having to hear anything coherent coming from the bigots on the other end of your mic.

I don't get the whole gay lisp thing, I thought that was just in the media. But anyway, there can be plenty of ****s in the game, don't let them stop you from saving my ass when there's a praetorian or phantom trying to sneak inside of it.

Gotta love xbox live...but not really. It's been that way for as long as I can remember. You just have to remember that its the internet and no one who acts that way online is ever that way offline. To many consequences for the keyboard/microphone warriors. Don't think about it to much, it isn't worth dwelling over. Find some people who don't care about dumb things like that and have fun. You can add me if you'd like. GT: WaI2 IMIachine. I'm going to be doing some serious credit grinding in anticipation for tuesday. Its been a while since I've gone through gold or platinum but eh whatever, its a game. I don't get bent out of shape to badly when it comes to PUGing or anything.

The media version is really bad. For me it was sort of a learned trait because I spent a lot of time around more feminine gay guys and their speech patterns rubbed off on me. I still sound like a man and my body language is masculine, its just the way I say some things gives away the fact that I'm gay.

Chiming in with the whole "you can add me if you want" sentiment, gamertag's the same as my forum name.

Personally I ran into two chatty people earlier who called Phantoms bundles of sticks a couple of times. Would've said something over mic if I'd been bothered to, but I was too busy laughing at how much the host sounded like your stereotypical nerd. Unless he was born without a nose, and in that case I apologize for making fun of his deformity.

Another one happy to play with anyone who isn't an idiot here. Gamertag's in signature. You will have to put up with me grumbling to myself all the way through matches though, sorry.

So you won't thank me, after I have passed you the salt? :crying:

Ok, fun aside, discrimination is not fun. Jerks will always be jerks, just let them be. I don't know if you did, but maybe you shouldn't point out your sexual preferences right away.

Pretty sure it was my voice that gave it away. I'm not "that guy" who walks into a room and announces he's gay for attention.

I can't tell if your voice gave it away, but maybe it's just me and I don't try to read someones sexual preferences in their voice.

There is not really much to say about it for me, so I suggest that you just do what you do when you want to relax and try again tomorrow.

Just to say, no-one sounds gay. People can be camp whether they're gay or not. It has nothing to do with orientation. It's quite a stereotype that some take offence to, whether straight or gay.

Regardless, those guys were obviously idiots.

Normally I'd troll them by flirting, but 3 against one is hard.

That would certainly NOT help your cause. Some people are just jerks, don't lower yourself.

On a somewhat related note, why is it that gay guys talk with a lisp? I never quite understood that.

Well yeah, but the thing about Stereotypes is that they usually have some grain of truth. I'm not camp by any means, but it is rather obvious that ther eare far more camp gay guys than Straight guys which is why the"voice" is associated as such.

I personally use the phrase: "Unless you're interested in spreading your asscheeks for me, what does it matter?"
