I enjoy weapons like the Disciple/Eagle/Avenger/Mantis which, despite being less devastating than the top of the line choices, are very light. You don't always take a weapon to deal maximum dps and spend your time shooting. They're fine.

On the other hand, when I see a challenge saying "get 200k/140k/50k" with that sort of weapon and not nate into account at all how it is vastly less practical to gather points than the other ones, I cringe.

So when I saw that this op required as many points from the Avenger than the devasttting Inferno grenades, I groaned "not this again!". But hey! At least fighting with Jessy is a blast, so it's going to be a slog, but an enjoyable one.


... what's that, Marksman? You turn even the Avenger into a Reaper-reaping machineof death? You mean you get it done in just two PUGs?
But I wanted to play a bit more with Jessy! (waiiiit, I can pay tribute to Zaeed by playing with the Avenger even if it isn't for the operation)


So yeah. Marksman is awesome. Not really anything else to add.

I'll just solo a Bronze for my challenges like i allways do (Barring the Revive one)
Inferno grenades indeed.. Avenger will make things interesting tho

Inferno Grenades was a blast. Just spent all solo running around keeping Geth warm.

Avenger took the BF3 Soldier and TGI to finish.

Marksman only emphasises the horribleness of the Avenger. Marksman certainly "helped", but it also made me run out of ammo extremely quickly. And notice how few enemies I was able to kill using all the ammo in the gun.

batsol one bronze solo

no pain, just fun the hardest part was not using ballistic blades

Holy **** I had a blast playing Gold with four Batarian Soldiers all using Avengers and Inferno Grenades. We got to Wave 10, completed the Objective, then died. :s

I'm surprised I got that far with a Level 1 Batarian, Level 5 Batarian, and a Level 8 Batarian in tow.

It took me 2 laggy Plat games with friends and 1 Plat solo, in wave 1 to finish that part.

Still working on it (only had time for one game so far). Figured I'd double up, Batarian soldier with Avenger to do both challenges together. After one silver PUG against Collectors both were level at about 25%. Pleasantly surprised at Avenger.

I thought the Avenger challenge was really easy - and slightly quicker than the Inferno grenade one, too.

Four great fun silver all Krogan and Batarian games. Enjoyed it. Headbutts all round.

I did two silver solos. One with the bat sol and one with the hsol. The avenger wasn't that bad, with adrenaline rush specced for full damage.

You can literally finish it in just 2 gold matches. It doesn't even need to be solo.

I was surprised, that Avenger is not even a bad weapon, but always considered it bad. I have used it with Scope mod V with a Turian Ghost. With the scope mod's extra accuracy added it is really accurate. I was surprised how fast i could kill with it on Gold. Method was: Tactical Cloak and Overload for takin down shields,then kill. One single geth gold match was enough to complete the challange.

Solo silver/glacier/cerberus. Both parts done by wave 6. Krogan soldier. Was lulzy

Solo Gold/Geth/Firebase Giant. Geth Soldier with avenger. Was not as hard as i thought it would be.

I knew the gun was going to be weak but I really underestimated how weak. Especially when the entire team is using them. It was like we were firing spitballs at them. I wish I was exaggeration. Even with a full weapon-spec build and consumables and gear (all fully maxed) it took forever to kill even the most basic of mooks. The enemy could absorb entire clips of ammo like sponges and still be fine. Madness.

It was fun though. In a masochistic kind of way. I just wish the banner we got for it was called Big Goddamn Hero. Someone should start a petition lol.
